How about a lengthy rehash on POTC charcters so we can get a final type list together and I can offer to help to those that are interested but Pirate Costume challenged :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I know there was a few people who mentioned they were doing it but I forgot to add them to my list to give them to you and I dont think the Pirate Zone list has been updated ...

Okay my thoughts for today ...LOL

pirate:

If this list is the same one from eons ago, you can take Mark and I off the list. We will probably do a costume of some sort but it won't be POTC characters.

Run by to say there is a Panama Canal show on the National Geographic channel right now.

THANKS:thumbsup2

I just found this on Direct TV's web site.

Hello, again, everyone! I hope that today is a terrific Valentine's Day for all (Pirates and Wenches alike)!

I just wanted to post that our assignment went from Cat 6 GTY to room 6582 (Cat 6, mid-ship). I am really surprised as we have not yet paid in full, I was thinking they were wanting to make sure we were actually going to go. If I knew how to post those smilies, they would be inserted <here>.

As for the reply to my posts, my sincere apologizes as I cannot find them anymore. However, to the kind lady in BC -- our Nicole would love to exchange emails with your daughter. I was able to connect her with a fantastic girl on our last cruise and the two of them hit it off instantly -- making wonderful memories and instilling the knowledge that friends can be made within your community and around the world. It was great for Mark and I too, as we loved having a cocktail while the girls were off enjoying themselves. The two of them ate at our table for dinner one night (we had a table with just Mark, Nicole and I) while the four of us enjoyed an extra dinner at Palo.

To the other kind lady from within the GTA, we have not made our reservations in Buffalo for the night prior to the cruise. I am planning on waiting a little and see what the "Millennium Hotel" will be offering, just beside Walden Galleria. They frequently offer a special of "150 for 100", meaning you receive $100 in free food/beverages (including room service) for $150. I have heard that they do not mind extended stays for airport guests and offer a shuttle. I will likely look more into our Buffalo options a little later - we have also been lucky with Hotwire within the airport area, in past travels. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Again, have a fantastic day. I hope you don't mind these little side bars as I try and get on when I can; however, I LOVE reading all your jokes and friendly jabs. Looking so forward to meeting everyone (or as many of you as 15 days allows).

Michele

Got all excited thinking maybe we had a room assignment, but still nothing......

Its been nice to See the odd one or two Cabins assigned and hopefully more will come as we progress up to 'pay up' time. But I am sure some will still be assigned after that date, as they cover, the people canceling at pay up time.

Good luck to everyone on GTY.

They had a dance for the kids the other day and I took a few pics. These are all Pre-K thru 5th grade.

Here's our "Royalty"

Well this is becoming more real by the day. The March DL meet & greet is just around the corner, the diet is working :worship:

So to celebrate (paid the taxes), I went out and got a new Canon 40D body :cool1:

Now all my pics of the TOAL will be perfect :rotfl2:

I thought our posting would increase and not decrease once we got closer.
I, for one, thought my working long days were over- but apparantly not.
The carrot that got dangled was an extra paid day off and a pretty good bonus if my team got a project finished by the end of the month. The day off is because of our TOAL. Even though I get 5 weeks off a year I am in a panic since the TOAL takes 2 weeks in one fail swoop. I have managed to accummulate 2 extra days already so I am sure I will be fine.
The downside is it is a project that every other team has failed to get done in the last 6-9 months.
We are theoretically the top of the food chain but it is quite daunting. I will make sure that we get it done but I am dreading the next 2 weeks.
So yal behave and someone PM me if I miss anything important.:)

Andy

:woohoo:

I am finally taking mine out for a test drive today. Finally got all mine insured - if you tend to have accidents or any walk-by granny's with big bags - I highly suggest you get it insured - I got mine insured at Ritz Camera - Nationwide (used to be Wolf Camera) for 3 years and covers EVERYTHING but theft. Must have something to turn in. Water, fire, etc.

Might be worth it. I still have my 30D but decided I better get used to the 40D. I must say - though in shooting some test shots - it "sounds" weird. But I've been shooting with my 30 for about 2 yrs now and got used to the sound of that.

CONGRATS! We'll have to talk shop on board. OH! BTW, was at Target yesterday the one here in SoCal had a 75-300mm lens - not image stablized but still a 70-300mm on sale for $199.99. :scared1: It works for both conventional and digital and I remember what I paid for mine.... um about 7 yrs ago! It was definitely not $200.

But works good. Used that the entire first 1/2 of the girls soccer season.

Speaking of which, the St Paul Varsity has another playoff game in Gardena no less and I'm going to initiate my new 40D with that game. Turns out that Varsity has decided to borrow 5 of the JV girls. Did I mention JV went undefeated in league? :rotfl: I was requested to take "some" pictures of the varsity considering someone let the head coach know DD and I had made a CD with music of the girls season. What with Soccer banquet on March 18th - you think they want some pictures for their part?

Garsh! I told you all I was an evil thinking alien! :darth:

Laura, it amazes me how electronics seem to drop very quickly. I really try to not look at them after I make a purchase.

Have fun at your banquet too!
