Hello, again, everyone! I hope that today is a terrific Valentine's Day for all (Pirates and Wenches alike)!

I just wanted to post that our assignment went from Cat 6 GTY to room 6582 (Cat 6, mid-ship). I am really surprised as we have not yet paid in full, I was thinking they were wanting to make sure we were actually going to go. If I knew how to post those smilies, they would be inserted <here>.

As for the reply to my posts, my sincere apologizes as I cannot find them anymore. However, to the kind lady in BC -- our Nicole would love to exchange emails with your daughter. I was able to connect her with a fantastic girl on our last cruise and the two of them hit it off instantly -- making wonderful memories and instilling the knowledge that friends can be made within your community and around the world. It was great for Mark and I too, as we loved having a cocktail while the girls were off enjoying themselves. The two of them ate at our table for dinner one night (we had a table with just Mark, Nicole and I) while the four of us enjoyed an extra dinner at Palo.

To the other kind lady from within the GTA, we have not made our reservations in Buffalo for the night prior to the cruise. I am planning on waiting a little and see what the "Millennium Hotel" will be offering, just beside Walden Galleria. They frequently offer a special of "150 for 100", meaning you receive $100 in free food/beverages (including room service) for $150. I have heard that they do not mind extended stays for airport guests and offer a shuttle. I will likely look more into our Buffalo options a little later - we have also been lucky with Hotwire within the airport area, in past travels. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

All the talk of dogs - I'll have to post pics of my 95lb 14 mo. G.Shepherd puppy. I knew Max was going to be big but ..... my female G. Shepherd Annie is very petite - when the 2 are together people think she's the puppy.

Got to run - the morning rain stopped - time to walk the dogs.

SO there might be a thread after all for my 3rd unofficial Mickey Ice Cream Bar Speed Eating Challenge... complete with Award certificates signed by the CAPTAIN of the magic ... and "trophies" for the fastest participants in each respective age group? Plus the grand prize bumper of a super duper 100 million+ winning lotto ticket opportunity.

Please forgive me for the shameless plug. I just got in from volunteering at schol as a computer tech for the kids - and I'm back to have 20 minutes for lunch - then I'm off to volunteer in assissting at my daughters' Valentines Day party at school - we donated some cookies - and then a run out to the hospital - then back to pick up the 2 kids for thier indoor soccer sessions today. THEN its' off to Costco for supplies fer the weekends' grub. Chaos never ends here it seems.

The big thing about huskies is that they are bred to run with 15 other dogs. They are VERY social (which can be great, especially with kids) However! It also means they whenever they are alone (even just in a different room than you) they are bored...and they get destructive when they are bored.

Malley is too funny when we take her to the dog park - she doesn't chase the other dogs, she tries to run next to them!

OMG! Silly as I am - I never realized - that is what Isis does - and here I thought she was just being friendly! Oh yeah - that explains why she has to be on my right hip - her left flank - she's the boss - or so she thinks!

Wow - and here I was afraid of them - they may be little but they are solid! If I'd of known they are sweethearts at heart I would have petted my DD's BFF dog. Rosie scares me! Small but powerful bark! Worked on me!

A few comments from the 'owner' of the website (i.e. the guy who's paying the billls)

1. I considered setting up a forum when I set up the site but did not want to be seen as being a competitor to our gracious hosts here at the DIS.

2. There are no guarantees a forum on the piratezone will be fast. In fact it may be very slow and may not even be able to handle the traffic this group generates.

3.The site will eventually cease to exist sometime in the future unless someone is willing to pay for the domain name and hosting in future years. I agreed to host it until after the cruise but can't do it forever. So anything posted will not be around forever, unlike here on the DIS where threads last for years.

A scholar and gentleman for ever. I cannot thank you enough for your contributions to the spirit and community gathered here. And I understand only vaguely the technical aspects of how a lot of this works - but I do understand enough to say it is a wonder to me. I think that as a bridge to enable this experimant it would be tolerable - so long as we are all understanding of this with its' limitations and bandwidth limits.

Having said that - does anyone think we can put our organizational threads up anywhere on the DIS? Should we ask a moderator?

Pardon me a moment while I resume chomping down the last of the oldest left overs (Chicken Curry over fresh rice) before we skate for the weekend.

Not sure if it will be on zone or off zone, but not on DIS. Like I said, a few issues to work through.

Seriously, I've never heard of an aggressive beagle . . . they are literally all bark -- or howl -- and no bite.

Just earlier today it was posted that someone got their room assignment (see above) but someone else checked and hadn't . . . so anything is possible!
