it was very sad..hearing his family comment " our boy". something no
parent ..ever want to go thru.....

...oh, ..i almost forgot..justm.,...while our lil'ariel ..is a great
joy...i still haven't forgotten..our lil' 6'5 ~ 230 lbs..."baby boys"...
i know its hard..for anyone to believe...but when we went out, they
used to "draw" crowds. & jus as much fun! ..well maybe not when one
ate the robin's egg, yuk!..or burn the house down...or got into..their
mommy's makeup, ..or played "army"..with my lil'cutie flame's..hummel
collection... ..& things..i know that's came up missing...i suspecting
down the "toliet"!

A scarlett and gray birdie mentioned there was a new thread while trading Skybus ticket tips, but now a third

I thought I'd check in while watching the Columbus Blue Jackets try to solve goalie Nabokov of the San Jose Sharks. Jackets have put up over 25 shots versus allowing 9 shots by the Sharks, yet are losing 1-0. It reminds me of a scene of one of my favorite movies, Christmas Vacation when Chevy Chase calls his family outside for the lighting of the house and nothing happens:

MIL "See kids, I hope you realize what a tremendous waste of resources this was."

DD "He worked real hard grandma."

FIL "So do washing machines."

Hopefully, we'll see some results.

I don't know how my DW's keeping up, she's teaching adjunct for 3 colleges right now and trying to knock of her PhD dissertation and keep up with mom duties. She had a setback when her computer hard drive crashed and lost her research. We had to send it away to a facility in Milwaukee for a nice $750 recovery fee. She may just go into hiding on the TOAL.

Meanwhile, I'm doing my best to help the economy and run up our car insurance premium. I hit a Yellow Labrador with our car. I couldn't avoid him and felt horrible. I tried to locate his owner with no luck and a sheriff's car drove by, but couldn't assist because he had a prisoner. Caused $1,800 in damage to the front spoiler/bumper. It gets worse, I got the car repaired and had it back for one week, then hit a shredded truck tire (4 feet by 10 inches according to the police report) that got thrown in my lane by a truck. I busted up the spoiler/bumper again for another $1,800 in damage. I had a $250/deductible on the first one because it was "comprehensive" for being an animal, but the second one was $500 because it's "collision" coverage. My claims agent thinks I'm an idiot (probably true) and DW is ready restrict me to the mini-van.

Sorry for such a lousy string of luck, Joel. We may have to start calling you Crash Too. I'm glad DW has at least a string of jobs, but she sounds crazy busy. I'd make you drive the minivan as well - but we have a $1,000 deductible. Your saga made me re-think that briefly.

Good morning all. Finally had time to ketchup and find we are on a new thread and already into page 5. Life sure gets in the way of my computer time. I told my Mom if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all. In a matter of a week someone hit my car, our garage door broke and we had a leak in our ceiling. Fortunately everything was minor, but such an annoyance to have to deal with. And last week while my front desk person was on vacation a boatload of reports had to be completed, so I actually had to do some work. Some good news, according to our local groundhog spring it on its way.

Great job with the first post and all the links Tom. But where's the poll?

Well done that is great! I am still on a diet, on 31st Dec I was would you believe 17 stone 7lb's, currently on the 16 Stone mark, I am looking to be in the 15's on my Monday weigh in at work.

On Friday I was able to get back into a suit I hadn't worn since before the Med cruise in July, so that was a victory!

The number of DIS people on this cruise is making me think twice about signing up
(How long would it take to distribute something to everyone let along the luggage space needed to transport stuff )

I thought someone said something about breaking it up into smaller groups
That would make it much easier

I resold my DDs Hannah Cyrus tickets in Cleveland on e-bay. We found tickets for her in Columbus, which was closer to her b-day.

Extremely sad. It seems like a young star announces a rehab or problem weekly now. I saw Kirsten Dunst was announced this week. I think those stars do deal with more problems due to the relentless paparazzi and internet gossip overload, but not the right impression for young people.

Hey M! DC growing on you? I think I saw on one of the threads somewhere that your DS's hockey team got to meet the Anaheim Ducks, Prez Bush and the Stanley Cup. That's pretty impressive. One of the reason's I like hockey is because the NHL seems so much more open to fans than NFL, MLB or NBA. We go to my nephews' hockey games and many of the Blue Jackets players have sons and daughters that play in the same league. They autograph the kids' sticks and my nephews have played with/against players' kids like Adam Footes, Frederik Modine and Todd Marchant. His coach is friends with the Gretzky family and had Walter Gretzky (Wayne's dad) give the pregame speech for each game they played at a tournament in the Toronto area.

Well..DW is giving me dirty looks....I'm suppose to be cleaning for DD Katie's 7th B-day party.

There will be a formal signup for those who want to participate, probably won't be everyone. At that time the size issue can be examined. I would guess the sign up would be closer to the 90 day mark (the in or out point)
