I still have to figure out exactly what time that is for us in AZ. We don't do daylight savings.
And yeah, it isn't 3:00 am Eastern any more. Whew.

Oh goody!

When we booked last year, it looked like I was going to have to get up at 4a.m. to get on the stupid cruise and 3 a.m. again to book Palo, etc.

Since I was in Alaska, booking day for me started at 4 a.m. THEN I moved to the east coast, so booking excursions and Palo was going to start at 3 a.m.! Welcome to my world.

I'm glad they changed it, but based on WB yesterday, I still don't think I'm getting a lot of sleep that night.

Who else is up for pirate chat at 2 am on a Monday??

Happy Birthday Andy (Goofyforgoofy)!!!

Thank you, so crash your appointed arbitrator says you owe me £6m, and they have a 10% cut when you pay up! Good I love American hard justice!

I sit in some of these stupid, stupid, stupid and boring meetings where you look for ways to entertain yourself..... so I've become quite good at creating acronyms for things that don't need them.... hence my enjoyment at the TINK plate dilemma

My dh and I get a kick out of looking at and trying to decipher vanity plates. We are such dorks that we will even come home and tell each other about plates we saw that day. Pathetic, yes.

Some have left a lasting impression. For example, one day we drove up next to a red VW bug with a plate that read "GO BUGS". He also had an Ohio State University Alumni specialty plate, so it was clearly a play on the cheer "Go Bucks". LOVED  that one! And the man driving the car was a dead ringer for Santa Claus.....hmmmmmm...could it be?

M....I think the Tink plate would be cute. Have you considered just shoving all of the letters together like this: TINKSH. When I read that, I read it as "Tinkish".

All plates Disney related are taken here in AZ and I've tried every combination I can think of.

I had wanted ....years ago....OH WELL....since I say it all the time. But someone stole....I mean, has it, also. ;)

I saw one here in MA that said BWV DVC so I thought of getting SSR DVC one of these days.

Gee...

... I can't tell what I did wrong? No misspellings - and the only thing is a faint potential "morbid" implication. Otherwise - I must not be seeing something that's obvious to others.

At any rate - last nite was pretty good - we picked up the neighor girl 1 minute late - in part because just before we were to leave our dog got loose without being seen departing - and he was without his harness so I was scrambling to find the critter - and fortunately neighbors who are dog friends recognized him - RAN HIM DOWN and brought him home. SO - anyways, it was nice at DL if not moderately crowded. It seems two local school districts had monday (today) off for some reason; and the Socal Annual pasholders were blacked out next weekend - leaving this weekend as a good one to visit the parks. Thus, we had crowds that were more intense then usual.

Aside from that - however - the girls did a couple rides, saw a parade, had cotten candy, pizza & turkey leg, hot coca, and were photographed with Minnie Mouse. On the down side, our little guest rode Space Mountain with my daughter (who loves Space Mountain) .. and she was a bit shaken at the end of the ride. I carried her away while she had a few tears - and I felt bad for not having detected or screened her better prior to riding that. I DID tell her it was a dark and fast roller coaster like ride - and she insisted on following Julianna onto the ride. Oh well... when I reminded her we could do some last minute shopping at the Star Wars gift store next the Space Mountain exit - her attitude cleared up immediately. Amazing how this same thing happens when my spouse is in a huff with me (usu. incomplete "honey-do" chores, laundry, whatever) and I suggest we should go shopping... and her attitude clears up quickly too. ;) Who would have figured my spouse and the 6 year old girl would behave the same?

YOU POSTED £6

I POSTED £6 MILLION

So your 20% of £6, is slightly less than my offer of 10% of £6 million

As a Lenten activity, I had several of my 7th grade PSR students over last night to watch Passion of the Christ, and then we had a group discussion for a couple of hours. It was a "heavy" evening to say the least.

So....I'm looking for some light-hearted entertainment this morning. Can you all turn up the jokes and sarcasm a notch for me? :goodvibes

My 7th grader has been asking to see it. I'm certain with all his other emotional stuff going on that he is not ready. I've initially thought he wouldn't be ready until he was about 16.

How did this group do?

Of course, there are a few in this group that are tight with some of the cruise directors and a few who are pretty good at computer skills... so we can either hack in or get the CD to post the pics on all the monitors on the ship (and jumbo tron between movies?)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I went shopping with my DD yesterday and I bought a dress for the cruise. I tried to see if I could find a picture of the dress on the internet, but no luck. I also bought my DD a dress. I tried mine on last night and I think that I will splurge for a pair of those miracle working spanx.
I am still trying to figure out the Tux situation for my DH and DS. Has anyone ever rented one through DCL? Is it better to buy one instead? I would really like to limit the amount of luggage, so if renting is a okay then this would be my preference. Does anyone know the cost of renting?

With renting you'll save on packing space, and there's no wondering if last year's suit still fits. But you can buy tuxes from ebay for the same or less than the cost of the rental.

Not sure if the rate is higher for the double length cruise, but the DCL rental company can be found here. With shoes $105.

If you shop discount mens wear, for not much more you may be able to buy tux and shoes.

If they double fee due to length of cruise.... may be best to buy (except for kids growing....)

I'm trying to find my info from last year's repo. I'm pretty sure the cost was higher than what is qouted on this page.

:lmao:
You guys are funny. I think I will have to opt for the Tink shirt and kid's wings, though.

A costume covered in lightbulbs is a packing challenge that I'm just not ready for.

I was just at the Disney Store this weekend. I threatened DS that I was going to get the Tink wings and wear them in the parks. They LIGHT UP! It's not very noticeable but they do light up.

Someone on my last cruise found the link for me. Max size for flying Tink is 5'1" and 110 lbs. The parade Tink is even smaller - I've never seen Tink in a parade, but I think I heard she's in the pirate and princess parade :confused3

I'm getting personlized plates for my Mustang. I wanted TINK ISH, but I'm limited to 6 letters. Can't decide between TINK SH and TNK ISH. From the Tink magnet on my car it would be pretty obviously that the plate means Tink, not tank!

She's in the Parade of Dreams at DL.

I like TNK ISH better. TINK SH makes me think of something else for the SH. :rolleyes1
