In the past, the DISers have met up on Deck 10 either during the sail away party or at a time set before the lifeboat drill. Deck 10 is less crowded during the sailaway because of all the kids down below dancing.

Me neither... The Geeks (Dec double dip 06) had lots of trouble when we booked back then.... We just had tons of cc members on our trip.
This boat will almost all be cc members so i can't see how linked stuff is going to be the problem.

Julie: This looks simply wonderful. That must have been great fun watching your daughter in this production. My older daughter will play in her 1st production some time in March... and I'm looking forward to seeing her in it too!

AND... if I may add that this morning my spouse had something SWEET to say ta me this morning ... (I should have known it was NOT quite what I was expecting)....

She told me with her sweetest smile ..... "Today is the 1st day for an extra 60% sale on all clearance items at Macys'. SO, an item that's 50% or 75% off on the clearance rack is now 80% or 90% off!". So she wanted time to go wandering and glancing today. As such, I'm not sure if the kids are gonna wanna follow her around - so I'll ask them later today. Today/tonite I expect my dear sweet spouse is gonna hit a different Macy's location every 90 minutes or so in our region. To be resumed tomorrow morning too before we're to show up for a birthday party at 2PM! Of course, right after we blow out the candles my spouse is gonna wanna wander off to the nearest macys'!

OK... maybe she WON'T be quite as psychotic about this as I'm presented... but then again... maybe it won't be all THAT far from the truth too...

OMG!!!!!! I am missing it!!!! Ihave to work today and tonight but there is always tomorrow to shop!!!

As far as school goes, we usually just have a week in December for the holidays. A week in February & a week in April before they are let out for the summer in June. This coming year we actually have a 5 day weekend in October. with Yom Kippur off on Thursday, Staff day on Friday & Columbus Day on Monday. Needless to say I already booked a stay at SSR!

Apparently, according to DCL, the only people who have problems are those with multiple rooms reserved together (so watch out Crash, Escaping Moms, all you kids in another cabin ressies.....)

He is hoping to get an autograph. He wants me to print 2 so he can get one for Adam as well. I hope they hang around like some did when we saw them at Disney.

Can you tell which side the Dis people are on???

I don't think everyone will be together in the same place during the lifeboat drill because the location of the drill will depend on room category and location

We are going to need our own navigator so that everyone knows the activities / time / places, etc

We can't meet during the life drill. We did have a pre-cruise gathering for about 150 people above scoops just before the drill.

I worked in the biology department of the medical school when I was in college. That was one tough job.

I knew a science person would get what I meant

I worked in a lab for 17 years Left because the pay wasn't going up much anymore and the new establishment wanted to confine us to one task per person. The same thing over and over would drive me crazy


We had a big discussion back in the first lab I worked in about whether alcohol killed germs so the comments posted here made me laugh

There are still a lotta folks who are not clued in yet... so just go when ya can. Alicia was "spelling this out" for me ... so even a "low brow" type like me could figure it out. Her final comment was that this was like getting stuff originally prices at $10 was clearanced / reduced to $2.50 ... then now with this sale an additional 60% off dropped that $10 item to $1 (at 75% off plus an additional 60% off!).

I tell ya', my spouse is SOoooooo charming when she tries to pursuade me to see things her way.

The last thing I told her this morning was that she had my "blessing" to go and shop as long and as much as she wanted for this sale - with ONE condition, she was limited to the interior capacity of her car! Her silent smile (similar to the one above) in return was all the compensation I needed.

OK... so I'm off now to take my little one to her Ballet/Tap dance class... it starts in 17 minutes ... and I need 15 minutes to get there! Adios folks... maybe I'll catch up in chat tonite IF I don't follow my spouse around while she shops tonite.

I know there are ways of "locking" and "unlocking" the phone but for someone like me- that is just too dangerous for a $400 phone.

Yes you can do it -- but only through iTunes and only the songs they have available. I Apple's restrictions. I nearly sent my iPod through a wall last night because it has decided to stop playing songs I downloaded and paid for. Had to deauthorize all my computers and reload to get it to work.

When I worked in a NY lab, there was a lab tech who's sterile technique left much to be desired She was like the "Typhoid Mary" of tissue culture. No one wanted her to touch their cultures They were very glad when she left.

I highly doubt that every person on the WB thread is linked with 5 other cabins. This is not having dining linked, but having the whole reservation linked.

One thing that everyone here needs to know ahead of time....if and when you all do your dining set-up....so that everyone can be seated near eachother.....you will be LINKED. When you pull up your reservation, there will be a list of a jillion other DISers on there also.
It won't affect your reservation, your excursions, etc....just don't be surprised if you see other people's names on there.
Example....you open your reservation to make an excursion reservation and it may very well list everyone else's name who is seated in your dinner group, and ask you if you want to book that excursion for everyone in "your party"....meaning half the DIS group. You have to place a check mark next to the names that you want on the excursion with you.

So what that letter said is not necessarily true.

Didn't happen to us last summer? But then again, maybe we didn't get linked until closer to 30 days out??
