You'll be perfect for the piano dancing. :lmao: :lmao:

No Lisa you got the story all wrong.:headache: :headache: I get the piano.....Stace gets the table tops ....... Tina dances with Lamp Shades.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I would never take one out to the ports . . . just too bulky . . . I will just use mine to get beverages onto the ship . . . you could use it for bottled water and save money as well . . .
The large quantity of alcohol kills the germs . . . that's my story and I'm sticking to it . . .;)

:thumbsup2 That's what i was thinking too Julie...

Exactly what I was going to say! :goodvibes

Ice/water from established restaurants and hotels is fine. It's the mom and pop places and street vendors that you have to watch out for.

:scared1: :scared1:
Nice sterile technique:rolleyes:
You guys would never make it in a tissue culture lab:sad2: :sad2:
;)

I worked in the biology department of the medical school when I was in college. That was one tough job.

I think we all took a vote and all agree alcohol kills all germs!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I would ask my DS who is a microbiologist but I might not like his answer!!!:headache:

Did anyone get the Passporter email today?
Jennifer has some great instructions to do a blog and post pictures- all from the IPhone. I followed the instructions and actually very easily managed to email myself a picture taken from my phone. I might actually use another feature besides the phone on my IPhone yet.
Don't have any songs on the IPod part, don't bother using the internet unless I am in a wi-fi spot and I have no idea what else the heck my phone can do. Just remembered I do use the camera part.
The PC support guys at work have the same phone and when I ask them a question they just roll their eyes. Apparantly I am not worthy in their eyes to have one.
I tried to ask them how I try to get the horn blasts from DCL as my ringtone. That resulted in a very long set on instructions which left me right after they said "wake up the phone". :confused3 Beyond that...blah, blah, blah........

I am clueless as several will agree when it comes to techno things. :rolleyes1 I am going to ask daughter to help me get the horn on my phone.:thumbsup2 I did manage to load the horn into my computer which drives my DH

Hmm, since I am not coming on the cruise and therefore am not likely to be within arms length of Cheryl, may be I should post those videos somewhere....

Unlike others, I do not profess to be innocent.

JR...

Before ya go an' do somethin' ya might regret... let me warn ya... there are a few things about Cheryl ya don't know yet... She has SUPER POWERS that many have not seen before ...

pirate%20sign%20beware%20ye%20who%20enter.jpg

so ... ya might want to reconsider an' "do the right thing" instead with those "videos"...

Would ya believe me if I said I miss you too! Plus everyone and everything that goes on here too! I've been too "off balance" with things ta loiter as much as I used to before DEecember. And I know I'm only about 90% caught up (if that).

At any rate, I seem to be gradually recovering free time to wander here - and my spirits are somewhat normal again. I saw our friend again yesterday - the one who had the surgery as she was picking up her son at pre-school... she was smiling and radiant in spite of her illness. We spoke of meeting up at the Ronald Regan Library for their Easter Celebration. They host dozens of crafts and games for the kids, plus there are freebies (like Magic Mountain Passes the last 2 years running), and live entertainment and so on. A good clean crowd if ya know what I mean... So we're gonna do a picnic and attend as usual the past 2 years with them. Really, though... it's sad yet uplifting in the same moment.

At any rate, so much for my somber rut.

SO... I'm dining on left overs from the last few days. I got me a crab cake and a half, beef emplanadas, a semi-gourmet steak (NY I think) and freshly made rice to go with it all. Plus we're watchin' an old Herbie (the VW bug) movie while we dine. Oh... the kids get freshly made fixins' ... I get the old stuff. Ooo... I think I need somethin' ta drink now... excuse me amoment while I go fetch something from the fridge....

LOLcat%20pirate.jpg

Crash I am sooo glad your friend is doing better!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: I was thinking about her the other day.:flower3:

Leave it to you to get more freebies!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Sounds like a lot of fun at the Library!!:yay: :yay:

Just don't forget about us!!!:grouphug: :grouphug:

We have them here in OK and you haven't lived until you seen tarantula "Mating Season"! We were going out to the bosses house in the country and we saw something ahead of us on the road. It was at least 200 of the hairy little suckers running across the road. And later that evening there was more of them "swarming" around the yard. It was like being in a horror movie!

Now their are two reasons I don't want to go to Oklahoma. a Tornado and now tarantulas!!!:scared1: :scared: :scared1:

Tomorrow I will try to post a few pictures of my middle daughter (13) from the middle school musical, which had its first performance tonight. . . the musical was "Peter Pan" and she was . . . Captain Hook! (it's an all-girls' school . . .) She wouldn't tell me anything about her costume in advance, but I was quite taken tonight to see that it was much more Capt. Jack Sparrow than traditional Capt. Hook:goodvibes . . . my youngest (10) was one of the lost boys and she was cute, too. I will try to post something tomorrow.

Waiting exitedly Julie!

Coral, think you could send me those instructions? This might be a good time to mention that it was only last weekthat I started using the safari on mine. Before - everytime I tried to get on - I couldn't do it - then all of a sudden it just started working. So hang on and stick with it. The knowledge and confidence will come with time. Heck -look at me - only took me about 7 months to learn!

Just had to share my parental pride with you all. Lauren was in the school gymnastics competition today & won 2 golds & 1 bronze, competing with girls from her year and the year above at school:thumbsup2 . Unfortunately she can't go on to represent the school next week as she has been selected to join the aerobics squad which is considered competitive gymnastics, so makes in ineligible!:confused3

Interesting facts on Easter & make our school terms wierd to say the least. They get Good Friday & Easter Monday off, then go back to school for a couple of weeks before getting a 2 week break w/c 7 April!

May I offer respectful ....

... on Laurens' feats!

Interesting reading that was forwarded to me:

Easter is early this year. Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but that is pretty rare.

Here's the interesting info. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here are the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones who were around for that!).

2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year

WOW:goodvibes Congrats:cheer2: :cheer2: What were the medals in? I always loved to watch the balance beam.

Golds in Vault & Body management (series of moves & flexibility things e.g. splits) & Bronze on the floor. My Dad is quite handy & is going to engrave them for her!

Thanks for everyone's congrats - I'll show Lauren tonight after the school disco

Can't wait to see.. How was the performance - did it make you well up a bit?

OK, makes sense...I think.
Uhh, thanks for a real answer Monica.

;)

No, but we make spectacular bartenders. And really, which is more exciting?

Diane, that is exactly what we are looking at in Cabo. We did the boat trip out to Los Arcos last time and it was fun but this year a nice day at the beach sounds good. Besides, #1) it will be close to 95F while we are there so we need to be close to AC or water. #2) From what I have read this is the most accommodating beach close to the ship. #3) As you mentioned there are several hotels and restaurants along this beach for snacks. #4) I have heard/read that you can even rent chairs and umbrellas if so desired. Whether is is true will require more reading.

This is what we are doing as well - DCL has an excursion for a beach break that we were looking into - it goes to the Baja Cantina which looks inviting! I am thinking we may just do this on our own though if its easy enough to get there via taxi or water taxi. Need to research it a bit more........I agree it will be HOT and we will need the ocean to cool us off!

Cool:cool1: :thumbsup2

Was it like the Broadway Peter Pan ( I think I saw that with Sandy Duncan).

Yes, it was that one -- you know, my "lost boy" got to sing "I won't grow up" and "Wendy" ("at last we have a mother!") . . . Hook had Hook's tango, Hook's tarentella, and Hook's waltz (the best one, I think) . . .

OK i swear Jet Blue is attempting to make me miss my plane....

We started out on an 8:20 am outgoing non-stop flight to CA.

Doh....:headache: now they combined the two non-stops in the am to 7:45 am. (I guess it could be worse. At least flight #'s are the same so my seats are still intact.)

If anyone was trying to come in the day of the cruise on my JetBlue flight, they would not be happy . . . it was moved from 6-something AM, arriving, before 10 AM, to leaving at 9:45 AM, getting in after noon . . . since we are getting to CA on Aug. 9, it doesn't really matter to me, though . . . we are just heading to the beach the day we arrive.

Thank you, Crash...I'll buy you a frozen banana at Disneyland!

Oh darn...I forgot...I wasn't going to tell the banana story....... ;)

Now you're just taunting us with your withholding of that story . . .

Can't wait to see.. How was the performance - did it make you well up a bit?

Oh, yes, I am quite the baby when it comes to that kind of thing . . . not so much seeing my kids, but the ending really gets to me.

I will try to post a few pics this afternoon -- too bad I didn't get one of Hook's arrival, carried in by a bunch of pirates . . .

Presently 43 going up to 70 here in Sunny Central Florida :goodvibes

:grouphug:  pixiedust: and prayers to everyone who is going to need it today

:welcome: aboard to all the newbies

I'm trying to remmeber that area. I think that may be just a little shop at one of the hotels. If so, then there's not much selection. We'll try to check it out in a few weeks.

That would be so kind of you! Thanks!

So here is a margarita question: Aren't we supposed to not drink water in Mexico? And aren't margaritas mostly ice? And isn't ice just water, cold, and time?? How does this work?

Now I prefer my 'ritas on the rocks as opposed to slushy, but still ice is involved.

I've wondered the same thing....I don't think I'll take any chances, though.

My 13-year old as Captain Hook in her school performance of "Peter Pan," the musical. It's a little blurry because we aren't allowed to use flash. A few more pictures to come . . .
