Okay , we should be at the GCH by around 10am Friday or so ...Maybe a little later pending on traffic from SNA ...

Our plane lands at 9:20...so we should probably get to the GCH by 10:30 at the latest, I'd say.

I just checked , our plane doesnt land till 10:30 , looks like we wont be at the Hotel till around 11:30 ...give or take a few

I am hoping the park is empty ....

Hi Gang,

Gee, all this talk about spiders/etc. - I spent my summers at my grandparents' ranch and got accustomed to all sorts of critters. By necessity I've killed my share of rattlesnakes. I'm not usually bothered by any of them.
BUT - once while visiting friends at their ranch in Cottonwood, AZ - we were sitting on the patio chatting and I guess we were near a scorpian nest and all of a sudden out come all these (big) baby scorpians - we looked like the 3 Stooges all running around trying to get rid of them - it was a comedy of errors - falling all over one another - banging heads together trying to get out of the way. I also was bit by them and my arm swelled.
They still don't bother me - I'm the designated spider/pest remover in the family.

EWWWWW. As brave as I am, THAT gives me the willies!!

I collect magnets, and I have one that says "I was put on this Earth to embarrass my teenagers in front of their friends"



One bit of advice when dancing on the tables.....don't try to use the chandelier to stablize yourself...they swing. Not that I know this from experience or anything.

And...if you're going to do it, can I watch??

I always hide a couple of boxes in the back of the freezer, behind the frozen vegetables....they never find them there.
I just hope Megan doesn't read this, or my secret is out.

OMG Stace! I hope you don't mind me laughing but this had me rolling with tears coming out of my face. And DD wanted to know what I was crying for so I read her the story. Please don't cancel - and if you must - hock yourself to get on this ship (not starting any rumors now)

Although she also said that Cuba Gooding Jr did the same exact thing in Snow Dogs -- he showed Demon!

It's okay....we laugh about it now too.

I better keep a few good stories to save for the cruise. Best not tell them all on here then, huh?

Stacey is going with Pronto Limo (I think it's www.prontolimo.com ). This is based on great service on the phone as well as good reports from others who have used them. We'll probably use them from the airport to DLH when we get to CA. PM justmestace to get her last name, and mention it to the folks at Pronto Limo when you call them.

I know....and since we only have a one-way, we're in First Class, too...so we wouldn't have been affected by it....THIS TIME. But I fly (or used to!) USAirways a lot.

That, or Southwest. And Roger's right, Southwest just dropped from 3 bags per person to 2. Although, that I can handle.

sometimes...life jus isn't fair... , about 2 weeks..after...our
second baby was home....we were doing a sunday drive, when
my lil' wife...had acute gall bladder...epsiode.... ,

...she had to have emergency sx., the next day....

Actually it's quite common for women to have GB problems right after giving birth. My GB finally went kaput 3 years ago (almost to the day). It took my docs 3 weeks to figure out what was wrong and in the meantime i got so jaundice that my eyes turned yellow.

Looking back i really had crappy medical care because i think that my GB problems actually started a few weeks after DD was born but they kept trying to tell my it was just my back and that i was carrying the baby wrong.
They never tested anything else. Sometimes Dr's are clueless.

I have a really good spot this year. If dd reads this.... The girl delivered them when you weren't home......

I still have a box of TM's from last year though because my dh put them in the freezer where he works.
