I got this email from US Air tonight.

Today, US Airways announced a change to our baggage policy. Beginning May 5, 2008, we'll charge $25 for a second checked bag. The new fee applies to travel on or after May 5 for tickets purchased on or after February 26, 2008.

Saw that on another site. I knew it was just a matter of time before the rest of the airlines start doing this. Wonder who's next? American probably. Wish I could go ahead and book my flights so that I can avoid the charge, but things are just too uncertain right now.

Having the kids is what made me have to face my fears. I had to defend my children.
Jared was only about 9 months old when a scorpion stung him. I stepped on it, and ran to the phone to call Poison Control to see what they suggest I do.....when the lady asked me how Jared was reacting to the sting, I turned just in time to see him pick up the dead scorpion and stick it in his mouth! I screamed, dropped the phone, picked him up and had to dig the "thing" out of his mouth.
When I got back to the phone, I think I'd scared the poor woman half to death. But she ended up laughing at the kid who "got even" with a scorpion.

OMG Stace! I hope you don't mind me laughing but this had me rolling with tears coming out of my face. And DD wanted to know what I was crying for so I read her the story. Please don't cancel - and if you must - hock yourself to get on this ship (not starting any rumors now)

Although she also said that Cuba Gooding Jr did the same exact thing in Snow Dogs -- he showed Demon!

I just heard on the news that there was a "moderate" earthquake north of London. No word of damage as of yet. Hope all are friends across the pond are okay!

The earth didn't move for me Luckily it was mainly slight structural damage & only one reported casualty so far. I guess the fact it happened just before 1am had a lot to do with that

So, I get home from work tonight to find DS10 "forgot" he had a project due tomorrow on the life of Marco Polo, complete with the need to dress up like the historical figure. I think the Harry Potter robe looks exactly like what Marco Polo would have worn. Don't you? aye, yie, yie.

That kind of thing drives me crazy! But of course HP would have worn a Marco Polo robe, so he is covered . . .

They did AK, safari ride (although she was horrified... big game hunter "I shot one of those, one of those, ....."), absolutely LOVED the Lion King show and a bunch of other things.

They then went to AKL and had dinner at Jiko (sp?) and she couldn't stop about how wonderful and delicious it was.

Glad they had fun. I also love the Lion King show. I want to be the spinnie bird lady if Tinkerbell doesn't work out. I think we are going to eat at Jiko during our Sept. trip. I always hear great things about that restaurant.

Where's the recipe

It was discussed during my massage.

Tom, sent me a PM, so I sent it to him that way.
I made it up as I went along...

You need:
Stuff to make rice krispie treats
white chocolate chips
gummy worms (chopped into pieces)
fruit by the foot (green or tie die)
white frosting mixed with green food coloring (wasabi color)
Swedish Fish

For Sushi:
Make regular rice krispie treats
Spread into onto a cookie sheet about 1" thick
while the treats are still warm, cut into 1" circles (shhhh....I used a shot glass)
Melt white chocolate chips & brush the top of a circle with the chocolate.
Wrap with a length of fruit by the foot.
Place 2-3 gummy worm pieces in center.
Top with a glob of 'wasabi' frosting.
Repeat over, and over, and over again until you regret the decision to make this stuff...

For Sashimi:
Cut treats into rectangles.
Brush top and sides with white chocolate.
Top with 1 Swedish fish
Wrap with 1/2-width of fruit by the foot.

We were laughing about how are we ever going to pack everything in 4 bags!!!!! You would if you saw how much DH threw into the bag on the 3 nighter.

I'm watching the sales as I cannot find one of my bags. Deciding whether to get a big bag or a suiter. There definately is a box being sent to LA.
The weather forecast is low 38 tonight .49 currently. Better dress warm...........

I have a bunch of calls on my id box....a few of the numbers are there a few times......and they are all telemarketers!

I have been here for a few of them and just haven't answered!

I also have someone calling for someone who never has lived here! And she got made because she thinks this person is here!

I answer all telemarketing calls. I put the phone on speakerphone/mute and just let them talk. Sooner or later they figure out no one is answering. Figure it costs them a couple of bucks and my kids think it is funny.

The other day someone called my work mobile phone and was talking in Chinese. I finally stopped them and asked if they could get me some Kung Pao Chicken and they hung up.

We have been told that they are having the staggered dining dinner times (5:30, 5:45, 6pm and then 8, 8:15 and 8:30pm)

The only exception is that on the day the ship is going through the Canal there will only be two dinner seatings, one early and one late, instead of the staggered times
