The whole spider talk..anyone else spray spiders with hairspray or airfreshener? (makes it easier to sweep them up! and they smell nice!)

I can't believe there are fellow barbie collectors and hoarders here! I have a bunch.....holiday ones,bob mackie ones, and a bunch others!

Oh and in the look what I got today....I got a coupon for a free B-a-B a few days ago..then another tday! Going to try to take my goddaughter there so she can make one and I can make the other for Brendan's bday....

Diane..you have my vote!!! I will be happy to make your campaign posters!

So, I get home from work tonight to find DS10 "forgot" he had a project due tomorrow on the life of Marco Polo, complete with the need to dress up like the historical figure. I think the Harry Potter robe looks exactly like what Marco Polo would have worn. Don't you? aye, yie, yie.

I myself am starting to have serious doubts about taking ANY family members with me....

I finally went out to the DCL excursion lists to look around and just looked at the Cabo ones.

Well apparently that started WW3 in that DH refuses to even consider anything that i want to do. And i'm not going on this trip to sit on the boat the whole time with his grumpy add in the room. I'd rather stay home if that's what i'd have to put up with.

Any chance dining could put my dh and dd at another rotation and let me eat with the fun crowd?

Apparently since he doesn't swim he WON't do anything that involves water or boats. (although he did do ok on the Glass bottom boat in the Bahamas)

I'd like to do the BOB's (ok no snarky quotes swabbies) or the yacht race thing or at least the Los arcos boat tour.

Does anyone else feel like they're saddled with the wet blanket?

and does your wet blanket make you feel as guilty as mine? Apparently my leaving them behind would be as terrible as trying to force them to go on the excursion.

Anyone think i've got enough time to get a divorce and take custody of the DCL TOAL ressie?

Reminds me of the time DS had to do a verbal book report and be dressed as one of the characters in the book. He choose one of the Magic Treehouse books where they travelled back to ancient Greece or Rome - can you say "toga"? TG for white sheets!

Correction.....look for the tall, dark-haired kid with 20+ bracelets on, that will be Monica's ds. My ds will be the short blonde haired kid with 20+ bracelets on. Most of the "bracelets" he wears are rubber bands.....odd child, but I love him.

My DS10 will be the medium-size dark haired kid with 20+ bracelets.

Interestingly, neither Tom nor M have commented . . . the silence is deafening (and suspicious!) at this point . . .

That table top is sure going to get crowded.

Hi Gang,

Gee, all this talk about spiders/etc. - I spent my summers at my grandparents' ranch and got accustomed to all sorts of critters. By necessity I've killed my share of rattlesnakes. I'm not usually bothered by any of them.
BUT - once while visiting friends at their ranch in Cottonwood, AZ - we were sitting on the patio chatting and I guess we were near a scorpian nest and all of a sudden out come all these (big) baby scorpians - we looked like the 3 Stooges all running around trying to get rid of them - it was a comedy of errors - falling all over one another - banging heads together trying to get out of the way. I also was bit by them and my arm swelled.
They still don't bother me - I'm the designated spider/pest remover in the family.

Chris, I think I'll hang with you and Stace in all the ports--never know what we'll encounter

Chrissi, I've been in my house for 14 years now. Every couple of years I have some stranger show up at my door, swearing up and down that the person they have come to see lives here. The weirdest one was an old gray haired guy, at least 65 who was looking for a young boy. That was creepy.

Sssshhhh! DD would want that one! Besides it's our duty as parents to embarass our kids.

They did AK, safari ride (although she was horrified... big game hunter "I shot one of those, one of those, ....."), absolutely LOVED the Lion King show and a bunch of other things.

They then went to AKL and had dinner at Jiko (sp?) and she couldn't stop about how wonderful and delicious it was.

When is it going to be spring? We were supposed to have nothing but rain today and guess what we got? SNOW! Over 5 inches of the stupid carp here at home, 8 inches at work. I made my poor DH come to the office and bring me home and had to listen to him lecture me about how my next vehicle WILL BE a 4 wheel drive something - I wanted the all-wheel drive version of my car, not my fault he fell for the pitch about stabilization and rear wheel drive.

Wait until they hit middle school! When DS receives a project for English his teacher does not allow them to bring it home to work on. She gives them limited class time to complete it and hand it in. She has extended project deadlines at least 3 times that I know of because more than half the class isn't done.
