Kids had a snow day today. I really wish they could plan better and have snow days on the days I don't have to get up early.

I got my Promotion! I am now a full,fledged Kitchen Specialist(Assistant Manager). Means a nice pay raise. Now I'm not only a Lunch Lady, but I'm a Lunch Lady with a title!

My brother has strict instructions that if I die before the TOAL, he's to drag my carcass to the ship & prop me up ala Weekend at Bernie's. Hopefully, ya'all will come get a picture with me.

We heard back from Los Veranos about the canopy tour. We didn't fit in with the 1:00 group, so we'll be following along after all you guys at 2:00.

So today I went to Macy's. Just to look around and visit some clothing I am stalking!

Saw the dress and it was on markdown...original:80 Mark down:34 CLEARANCE:17!!!!!!I also bought a $54 sweater for $13 too!!!!

I am psyched!!!!!!!!!

I got about $140 worth of clothes for $40 today. I go to visit the dress I want at the Ann Taylor around the corner from my office most Thursdays, since they usually do their mark downs on Thurs. morning. The dress is still to rich for my frugal blood ($279), but I got a pair of pants for $30 & a top for $10.

Are you proud of me Cheryl? Two shopping trips in a week!
OK, one was only for 10 minutes, but it still counts, right?

I used them as the topic for a persuasive argument in Speech class during my senior year. I even managed to get the teacher to listen to them.

... you an' my spouse should sit down and trade Macy's shopping tips and stories. You two would be chatting comtinuiously for the whole 15 days embarked and still NOT be half done. My spouse is one of those "Presidents' Club" shoppers ( or she used to be one )... so she "works at" maintaining that sort of nonsense with them. And even so - shes' a really good bargain hunter - often reminding me of how much she's gotten off on her purchases so I won't grumble I guess. But ya - kno... I've been with her fer 24+ years and I've always known this girl loves ta shop - and if shes' happy shopping then I'm happy is what i like to say.

So, on another note - I thought the thread was gonna get shut down at page 3,500... and here we are at 3,502? Was I mistaken and having another senior moment?
