The also don't hold up very well to weed wackers. Ask me how I know? :rotfl2:

Ouch:eek:
That sounds painful:headache:
So how do you know that:confused3 ;)

Hi Everyone...I'm doing pretty good, thanks. Have been very tired and we took a little trip to WDW last week to celebrate ending chemo - that didn't help that  . I got my procrit (sp?) shot yesterday and that seems to help quite a bit once it kicks in. However, I got some wonderful news yesterday that raised my spirits immensely.....

My tumor has shrunk to the point of being undetectable on the MRI I had Monday :cool1: :cool1: . I am so very grateful to all the Dr's and nurses who have taken care of me in the last months. They are really amazing!! I have a surgery date of Feb 15th. I had to make some pretty big decisions about all that yesterday, but I think I have made the right choices for myself.

DD is at school so I won't be kicked off for a bit. Although, I am nervous about her bus ride home since we are about an hour into a ice storm and the roads are covered white with sleet and no sign of changing over to rain like it is supposed to do.

It seems I have to fight more and more for a little computer time these days. All of a sudden DD is really into being on-line. There's a computer upstairs too but I want her using the one in the living room where we can see what she's doing. I don't like to use the one upstairs - no comfy chair...yet ;) .

WOW:woohoo:
That is awesome Mary Ann:goodvibes
Amazing what they can do these days in medicine:thumbsup2

We have only one family desk top (DH has one that is for work) and a lap top. Everyone wants the desk top because it has the bigger screen:rolleyes:

Ok I am frustrated - anyone else having trouble accessing anything on the web?

I went to photobucket to upload some images and I can't seem to upload, then when I went to Aol nothing but problems. I'm so mad - I could just

ARGH!!!!!!!!!

Hi Arlene

Hope you are both well.

Helen loves the photo. What a great idea for a cake.

David

Hi David.

Say hi to the family. I hated those plain cakes and when they suggested the Chocolate Rum cake, it was a done deal!

Got home from work and a package was waiting for me....mt tiara!

It's beautiful:thumbsup2

You look so serious though:lmao:

It will definitely look even better when you smile:goodvibes

I couldn't resist taking the photo of the antenna topper! It is actually what convinced me to put on the boots, coat, hat, scarf, etc and go outside.

The kitty is one of DH's "outdoor" cats. There are 6 indoors and he doesn't tell me how many out outside! :lmao: When he can, he traps them and gets them spayed/neutered. If they are friendly, he can sometimes get the vet or one of the shelters to take them. Most are ferile and just get released back outside. (So basically, he has been running his own private catch-neuter-release program for years! :thumbsup2 ) He puts out food and water year round and builds a little shelter for them in the winter. They also go under our front porch and various porches and decks around the neighborhood.

Pamela

That is so cool:cool1:

One of our cats that we adopted was rescued from a feral colony as a kitten. He is so cuddly now, it is hard to believe he was ever "wild".

I thought it was my computer as I had a billion windows open. My postings were also caught in cyberspace. Seems to be better now

Chrissie, I had the veil and guess what? When I started to walk down the aisle, it tended to press against my face. Anyone else have this problem? They even tried to pouf it at the last moment . The veil, also wasn't my idea. I would have preferred the tiara and the veil trailing behind. Actually, we really wanted an outside wedding but were afraid of the weather. It did rain briefly that afternoon so it was a good idea to be inside.

Hello Wendy!
I am sure that I remember you. I believe that you were on the August 26th Wonder cruise. My name is Jennifer. I met you at the Dis Cruise Meet. I also remember talking to you and your husband in the hot tub one afternoon. You were saying that you were trying to get on this cruise. I am glad that everything worked out for you :cheer2:

Yes, that's us. We managed to get a spot in December when the 2009 iternaries came out. Looking forward to meeting up with you again. Did you read Steve Hart's trip report from the cruise? Nice bit of memories.

Debi,

We just finished watching the Mr.____ ______ Contest from Angelina's high school. The judges were the school's lunch ladies. I thought of you and I knew you would have enjoyed this. The boys kept going down to the judges table and was trying to bribe all the judges with gifts and flowers. The whole thing was a RIOT!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Edited to add.....the only thing I'm worried about are stairs....like getting into the Nemo ride. My leg still doesn't bend that way. But I know with hard work, I can do it. And a lot of patience from the people behind me!!

Stace - if you ask - Nemo has a viewing room for wheelchair bound people. You don't go down the stairs instead they put you in a room with plasma tvs - AND its cool. You might want to ask about that. I had a friend who was limping with her cast and she was put in there along with her party of 5.

She told me that you got to 'see' more than if you were crowded into one window. Try that route.

Sorry if this has been answered - I'm about 30 pages behind.

When moving a ton container cargo, 1 gallon of fuel will get you:
By Truck- 60 miles
By Rail - 202 miles
By barge - 514 miles

This is the reason they are expanding the Panama Canal.

That is what I am trying to get her to see...have up little loose curls and beautiful tiara!!!LOL:bride:

Chrissie

Certain things are not so important, but your hair isn't one of them:rolleyes1

Start a pretend disagreement about something else with the wedding and then make a big deal about "letting her have her way";)

As long as they feel that they "count" in someway (by winning a few "arguments" :lmao: ), the Moms are usually happy:goodvibes

We are planning on going straight to the hotel when we get in so we won't be able to join you all there:guilty:

It's about a 6 hour flight for us on the 16th. And we figure to relax at the hotel and get up early the next morning (and save money for shopping:rolleyes: ).

I was hoping to meet up with some other DISers who have gone the same route.

Your meet at Fantasmic sounds great (I'm a bit jealous:rolleyes1 )
