I have to laugh at this...there was a thread on the main boards asking why we would take duct tape on a cruise and I had to SIT ON MY HANDS to keep from saying "It makes a good babysitter!"
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I just knew people would not understand my sense of humor.

That sense of humor is just one of the reasons we luv ya !

Hi Everyone! Well, I made it home - it only took about twice as long as normal. DH is still out on the road. It is a mess out there. Depending on the forecast you listen to, we are going to get anywhere from 3" to 12" of snow tonight. They all agree that there will be high winds tomorrow morning blowing it all around.

Just a note: The main reason I was annoyed about DH being gone for V-Day is because he actually doesn't do much of anything for it at all ... so if he isn't here, I won't even get the "happy valentine's day" said in the morning and maybe get a card. I don't think we have ever gone out to eat that day and I have only received flowers a couple of times (the main one being the year he forgot my birthday in January!) It isn't a huge deal, but I feel like I am very reasonable and don't ask for much - just that he remember and say something nice that day! :thumbsup2 Actually, I was hoping he would cook dinner that night since I am going to be stuck with going to the school and running DS8's classroom party! I really hate that stuff (I'm not all that good with large groups of kids - I can cope with just a few, but 20 at a time just scares me!)

Pamela

Well you're better than me, because I'm a spoiled brat that expects some cards, candy & dinner. I do always tell him no flowers since they inflate the price so much, but he usually doesn't listen. I will also get him a card & his favorite candy too so it goes both ways. We also get chocolates & usually a little something for the kids & we bake cookies or cupcakes. The Saturday before DH always takes DD on a date night to the Father/Daughter dance & dinner. We make it a special time for all of us. :lovestruc

Glad you made it home! Stay safe!

Only pooh pooh was the late dining  I dislike eating late VERY much!

Chrissie

Regarding Dining Assignments

If you are wait listed for early dining, I would suggest that you
  1. Check the DCL on line system and see if you were changed, if not
  2. Call your TA or DCL and ask to change
Many people who were WLE have been cleared to early and all of the new pirate:s (meaning booked within last two months) signing up have either been early dining or wait listed for late.

Can you believe I had to go answer the door!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Seriously I really had to and it was just DH. I should have let him freeze outside.

Congrats Kristina!!!

If you would stop locking him out, you wouldn't have the problem. Maybe if you just gave him his own key, I think he's big enough for it now!:lmao: :lmao:

Dr Rey and his powerful spandex Shapewear line ...

splashnews_spl6854_008.jpg

DOes this stuff really work - super spandex - or is it just a gimmick. Cuz I suspect if it DOES work my spouse will be thinking of getting some fer ME fer V-Day.

Not the push up model, mind you... :lmao:

I guess if you look like a model to begin with, it really does work. Kinda like those wrinkle cream commercials & ads featuring 17 year olds.

With all the Valentine's Day talk I thought I would post this funny joke again for any that might've missed it last year:

What Day is Today?

Over breakfast one morning, a woman said to her husband, "I'll bet you don't know what day this is."

"Of course I do," he answered as if he was offended, and left for the office.

At 10:00 a.m., the doorbell rang and when the woman opened the door, she was handed a box of a dozen long stemmed red roses. At 1:00 p.m., a foil-wrapped, two-pound box of her favorite chocolates was delivered. Later, a boutique delivered a beautiful designer dress.

The woman couldn't wait for her husband to come home.

"First the flowers, then the chocolates and then the dress!" she exclaimed.

"I've never had a more wonderful Groundhog Day in my life!
:lovestruc

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Your not wearing your mink today are you?

No. Thursday is chinchilla day.
:)

How can there be a waiting list for BOTH dining times? Doesn't everyone have to eat?

Well, everyone has to sleep in a room too & we all know how well that is going.

ohhh look a pirate:

 Congrats K!

I was able to get MCO to Dulles pretty reasonable ($104). You're looking for National though, right ? It should go down again. We have time. What are you hoping/expecting to pay ?

I prefer National - much easier & cheaper to get to, but I'd take Dulles for a good price. I'm still under the delusion I'll find something for less than $150 to LA & under $100 from MCO.

Multi quote didn't work...
Chrissie, your dress is beautiful!

hey, I can finally DIS from work. ssssshhh don't tell anyone

Ok, let me tell you my strange story...

I have never, never, never been able to post from work. I can log on but can't post. Probably for the best, I surely would have been fired by now. Anyway, for some reason (my boss left for a three week vacation ?) I tried to log on today & I was able to post.

After two posts, I got a PM from Tom letting me know SW opened their fares. :worship: :worship: :worship: Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. I got my filght to LAX, non-stop for $124.00. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I posted to thank Tom, & the post was all messed up when I looked at it. I edited the post & tried to post another reply. I could not post another thing, just like always... cue the twilight zone music.

:welcome:
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.

My DH Rick and I will be cruising with you all in August. I did say hello on the last thread, but it was so established I got lost in all the discussions that had already taken place. We're flying over from the UK on 15th and staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

We've done quite a few disney cruises - we sailed with some of you in September 2006 on the 11 day and most recently in October with a great bunch of Dissers, some of which are also on this trip.

Can't wait to be sailing through the canal. We've made our decisions on excursions and I've signed on to the website, so I think we're all set until the 90 day point. We're on deck 6 but no room number yet.

Anyone heard anything about Yellow Fever Vaccinations - are they required by DCL?

Anyway...hope to join in with the chatter over the remaining 7 months.:)

:welcome:

:worship: Sorry Captain!!!:worship:

What a CUTE:love: puppy!!!!!

Our booking story: We were on the fence about going..so asked our TA to see if she could get us a room...any room..we weren't picky! Emailed Brendan with in minutes of the ressies opened up and we were in! With a room assignment as well! Only pooh pooh was the late dining  I dislike eating late VERY much!

OMG I met Idina Menzel tday!!!!!!!!!!!! She was sooooo nice!

Chrissie

Chrissie, did you switch your dining to early yet? Rumor has it there is now a waiting list for late dining. I emailed a few weeks ago & got moved to early dining.

Cheryl

I am hoping for an emerald as well!!!

Would like to get one for my mom..it is her birthstaone and do something with it and give as a gift maybe during rehearsal dinner....

My DD Kelly was born in May also:goodvibes Hoping to get her some earrings in Cartegna:woohoo: And something for me too:rolleyes1

How can there be a waiting list for BOTH dining times? Doesn't everyone have to eat?

:lmao: :lmao: One would think so:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am a planaholic!!!!!!!!
and i want to enjoy it!
You'll be more likely to get what you truly want when you plan in advance:thumbsup2 That is if the Mom's don't put too much pressure on:rolleyes1

there's still of bunch of cruisers with gty too....

Thus both times should be overbooked...

If you want WLE then link with the capt's group for dining (more info soon) and many of you who want early should be able to get changed....

ohhh look a pirate:

CONGRATS on the pirate:cheer2: :cheer2: So glad a wench got it:woohoo: :woohoo:

Roger...all of these pictures of Raleigh are giving me "puppy ache".

The kids have been "hounding" us (bad pun) for another dog since we lost our beloved sheltie, Beau, last June. We still have Sloopy, but they want a second dog. We told them we would probably get one after the cruise, but pictures of your sweet puppy are making me want one now!!!

All right, I'm off to watch Lost.
Hopefully, I get to chat tomorrow night.
