My company is a big sponsor of the Olympics this year. We've got this neat digital countdown clock (down days, minutes, seconds) displayed in the cafeteria. I use it as my own TOAL countdown clock, just have to add 10 days to it. Olympics = 8/8/08, TOAL = 8/18/08

Monica, TOAL=8/17/08. Think you better change that 10 days - 1.;)

The past couple of days, Hazel and I have been busy setting Angelina's high school graduation party up. I never knew how much planning such a party takes. We got the hall reserved, the party announcements ordered and have started checking into food and decorations. I'm glad we still have 5 months to get ready for the party.

Angelina is driving us nutso trying to select the "perfect dress" for the Senior Prom as well............:rolleyes1

Good luck with that! My oldest is in Class 10, so I will be having to think about this in no time, it seems . . .

Hey we will be back in Plenty of time for Fantasmic ...Save a spot for us please

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!pirate:

Oh well, THAT....my pride disappeared after baby #3!!

No one will ever hear me sing. Never. Unless.....you know that saying about "it ain't over til the fat lady sings"???
MAYBE I'll sing at the end of the cruise.......;)

Something to look forward to at the end of the cruise! Just don't fall off the ship as your finale!:lmao:

Monica, I don't want you to miss the ship - don't we set sail on 8/17/08?????

Hey Andy - do you have a JCPenney nearby? Cheryl let us know yesterday what a great sale they've got going on. So when I went to check it out last night, I noticed that they had a LOT of evening dresses on sale. Clearance prices, plus and additional 50% off the lowest price.

Then definately a taxi back to the ship!! Did I mention that Paul is the one in the family that really likes Tequilla?? So he thinks its a grand plan!!

or a Ship back to the Taxi ...pending on how many shots you have done

Just come in costume, you'll get to sit wherever you want.....I'm sure several wench laps will open up too.....oh wait, but then you'd get mobbed.

Ok, guess we'll save you a regular spot.

****Seriously considering a quick trip to Vegas Feb 22-23. Really just heading down for the concert and some quick sight seeing for DS. Any leads on hotel deals?*****

ok, I thought the Philly Idol auditions were bad but tonight is scary.

The wrestling goth girl with the laugh! The guy who kept forgetting the words! The guy with the presents at the beginning! I think this show has reached a new low (high?) . . .:lmao:

Idol is just getting ready to come on here....they're in Omaha tonight, my hometown. OF COURSE it's going to be bad....have you ever heard ME sing???
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

it was funny tonight.

I wish I took a picture of my cat when the guy with the guitar was screaming:lmao: Totally freaked the cat out:lmao:

Very sad and scary....forget I said I was from there.

Stace, There were some good singers:goodvibes My DD especially liked the girl that sang the Nora Jones song

should be a pretty decent priced weekend ....just depends on where you want to stay ...on the strip will probably be about 100 a night off maybe about 70 ...just depends ...but if your here we have to do dinner or breakfast ...

Anyone looking to maybe doing this not with DCL?? Maybe get a group of our own ??? Is there any interest?? Maybe we could get one of the early times before Disney gets them ...

Absolutely. As soon as I know for sure, I'll let you know.

Lisa - haven't been in a while (several months) but Space Mountain has always been a long line one. And it does goes down often. Splash Mountain usually is pretty good to go on late at night - no line. If your staying on-site - take advantage of early entry and run.

Although - I've heard and while not a Mountain ride -that the Finding Nemo ride is still hard to get into too. Long lines and such.

If you can't find the Rice Krispies treat in DL you can find them at CA Adventure and also there is a bakery just outside the entrance to the ticket booths that might sell it. Also - there is Marciano's Bakery????? that sells them too. Someone else might come along that can confer this - I haven't been to the parks since December in the beginning.

Find which one has the FastPass - which Space Mountain and Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain is usually one that moves better than the other two. So decide between Splash and Space - and get a FastPass and then run for the other one.

I'm not a DL expert -- but I was just there at one of the busiest times of the year (Dec. 28 - Jan2) . . . my advice would be to go immediately to Space and get a FP, then go to BTM and ride (probably a 10 minute wait), then go to Splash and ride (no wait at that time -- it's just not as popular as at WDW) -- then head back to Space, because your FP will probably be ready about then since you got it at rope drop.

What you didn't calculate was if you want to do Indiana Jones -- which is a very cool ride and gets huge lines. If you do, I would get a FP for Indy as you walk away from riding Splash back towards Space (provided your FP window has opened up, you will be able to get one then) . . . it will likely be for early afternoon or even later, but you will have ridden the three mountains and be holding a FP for Indy by 70 minutes after rope drop, which is a pretty good deal . . .

Marceline's Confectionery...it's named after Walt's hometown. But they should have the krispie treats at some of the food carts in the park, and I know for sure they sell them at the Village Haus restaurant in Fantasyland.

Always good to know the people who know the scoop. Thanks
