Good evening...

I was floored today (not by 3 tequillas...lightweights!Lol:rotfl2: )One of the kids that I have taught for 3 years said something that absolutely SHOCKED me! He is a kids who has had it a bit rough, behavioral issues due to home stuff and being held back in school (when really didn't need to be)....We seemed to clash alot when he was in my group....because of it(the issues)....but today he said I was his favourite teacher....and gave me a hug....

Hope everyone had a great day!

Chrissie

Makes your day seem worth while doesn't it? One of my students told me she loved me the other day. It just makes you feel so warm & fuzzy. I work with special needs kids and when they accomplish something its a big deal.

I think it takes special people to be a teacher. I know I would have a hard time being with all the little darlings all day:goodvibes

Thanks Laurie - I can't get them to tell me yea or nay about a zipline tour.
My DH also can't decide about golf in Cabo and none of us can decide on swimming w/dolphins!!!!

I'm the one in my family that makes all the decisions about vacation plans:lmao:

I dragged DH to the dolphin swim in 2006 at Blue Lagoon and he loved it:goodvibes
He was actually thanking me for pushing him to do it as we left the place:goodvibes

I'm sure they don't see any rush to plan things this far in advance:confused3

If they have never gone swimming with dolphins I would recommend that:thumbsup2

Hi Guys,

Bad Andy here...........

When the old thread was removed and the new started I was very busy with the 10/24/09 thread and getting ready for the DCL House Party. By the time I came across this new thread it was already moving at the speed of light and I lurked on it from time to time, but I just couldn't keep up, so I didn't bother posting.

Anywho, we had a GREAT time at the DCL House Party Saturday night. We were the first ones to arrive at 7pm and the last to leave around midnight. The hosts of our party "allears" did an amazing job as you will be able to see with the link below of the pics I took. The food spread was AWESOME!!!

During the DCL DVD that was sent in the party boxes I noticed a segment that was filmed during our August 2006 cruise. The segment showed my mom and I walking behind Rick Adams the DVD MC just as the ship's horn was sounding. We all got a chuckle out of that, the party host even ran the DVD back so we could see that part again......

American Idol is getting ready to come on, so I'm going to sign off or now. I hope y'all enjoy the party pics!!! :goodvibes

Good to have you back:hug:

I keep forgetting about American Idol, thanks for the reminder:lmao:

Good reminder:thumbsup2

Now I'm worried a bit about our flight back from Orlando to Dulles on Sept 1st with Air Tran:eek:
Andrew's first day of high school is Sept 2nd and we have a 1:45 pm flight on Sept 1st. I'd really hate for him to miss the first day of high school:confused3

Hoping our flight doesn't change too much:rolleyes:

I wish we only had to go that far. I have to get us back to Canada (westcoast) and onto the island for school starting on Tuesday morning. My DS starts highschool as well - won't be cool to miss the first day in a new school.

I only have a few that are S.N. and I adore them!
They are so sweet!

It is strange....I work with kids 10 hrs m-w and 8 th-fr. Some days I love it some days...not so much...the kids I have are so ranged in ability (a few are mainsteamed) that it can be tough....but I love them all..and comments like today's make the yucky days bearable!

what a sweetie

My nephew got this for his birthday and that evening my son broke the drums.... We used some good old JB Weld and even put it on the other connections and it was much stronger. 2 days later he went to his dads house and the guitar quit working. I think they got that fixed some how.... Great concept - cheap plastic - bad design for the drums set up.

My DS got it for Christmas as well and I have to admit that I am completely SHOCKED that he hasn't broken any of it.

Life has been incredibly busy, then it just took over and I never got back around here. But I thought about you all often!!

Going to try to get back in the groove of posting here and hopefully catch up with everyone soon!

Cheers!

I just noticed that we're supposed to leave Cabo at 4:30pm - doesn't give us a lot of time !!!!

I hope they change our time to a little later. I am keeping my fingers crossed for sure:)

I've had a little experience with that in Cozumel. Sort of.

Mini-golf on land. Lunch and ditch the nephew on ship. Carlos & Charlies on land. Pirate Dinner on ship. Carlos & Charlies on land. Return to the ship with 10 minutes to spare. :rolleyes1
