Hi all . .

Yep, Laurie, I agree with you! My very meat and potato guy DH was tricked into trying it at PALOs a few cruises ago. Now he gets it every time. Wonder what their trick to making it taste so good?

I'll have to ask them next time:confused3

Must be something about the way they cook it or steam it.

Is it still on the new Palo menu ?

Good evening...

I was floored today (not by 3 tequillas...lightweights!Lol:rotfl2: )One of the kids that I have taught for 3 years said something that absolutely SHOCKED me! He is a kids who has had it a bit rough, behavioral issues due to home stuff and being held back in school (when really didn't need to be)....We seemed to clash alot when he was in my group....because of it(the issues)....but today he said I was his favourite teacher....and gave me a hug....

Hope everyone had a great day!

Chrissie

Chrissie,
What a great thing to hear:goodvibes
Some of my favorite teachers were the ones who cared enough to push me and give me a hard time:goodvibes
Good for you:hug:

Ya know timing is everything if life. I stopped packing to run errands and rains showers open up on me. I get home - now the sun is out!!
Oh well - back to packing - just as long as it doesn't rain during my drive tomorrow!!

We fly Air Tran all the time. Have been able to get good prices for flights. They do tend to make flight changes. On our December trip to WDW the flight time was changed 4 times in 6 months. Usually it was only a few minutes, but the last time they moved the return time up 2 hours.

We fly AirTran as well back and forth between Orlando and Virginia. It is the only airline at our smallish airport that has a direct flight.

We did take it to Phoenix this past summer to visit my grandparents. WARNING: DO NOT count on this airline to get you to your destination the DAY OF the cruise!!!!

We had a 4:30 AM (yikes is THAT early!) to begin the cross country trek to Arizona. When we arrived at the airport (1 hour early), we were informed that our flight had been cancelled!!!!! due to the plane not getting from somewhere else the night before. Well, we didn't like, but we took our free round trip tickets and went home only to return at the same time the next morning. I was so relieved to finally get to Phoenix and get some serious sleep!

Now I shared all that b/c on our original flight was about 30 extended family members headed to Miami to get on a cruise ship THAT DAY! I watched in agony for those folks as the Airtran folks did everything they could to get them to Miami; there just wasn't ANY seats available. The next day, I heard that they missed their cruise and had to make other arrangements to catch up with it.

I wanted to communicate this story NOT to diss Airtran (b/c I think every airline has stories like this from last summer), but to again warn folks to PLEASE come into Florida at least the night before . .

Okay, just a bit long winded, I'll be quiet now . .pirate:

Good reminder:thumbsup2

Now I'm worried a bit about our flight back from Orlando to Dulles on Sept 1st with Air Tran:eek:
Andrew's first day of high school is Sept 2nd and we have a 1:45 pm flight on Sept 1st. I'd really hate for him to miss the first day of high school:confused3

Hoping our flight doesn't change too much:rolleyes:

Chris there are a whole bunch of us on the PV zipline (1pm) that are just going as observers. We'll be hanging out at the water park or restaurant or where ever:confused3 If your DH or DD want to zipline you could hang out with us:woohoo:

Thanks Laurie - I can't get them to tell me yea or nay about a zipline tour.
My DH also can't decide about golf in Cabo and none of us can decide on swimming w/dolphins!!!!

Thanks for the offer. I will see how many in our group would like to join us and I'll contact you in a private message with the names.

I'll watch for it:)

HEY .... Look it that?

MY

I think I'll stop fer the day right HERE!

Have a nice afternoon & evening everyone!

Congrats Tom! That's ALOT of postings:goodvibes

Todd, I agree it will probably be a little crowded. That tour sounds fun, but it is a bit pricey for my blood:)

Hi Everyone! Just finished the daily "ketchup" - only about an hour, so not too bad :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Cheryl - you and the other super-shopping ladies can be proud of me! My mother dragged me out shopping today and I survived 2 hours of shopping and trying on stuff :rotfl2: :cool1: I am totally exhausted, but did get some really good bargains. I bought 7 tops at Carson's for $67 and a dressy skirt and top at Von Maur for $61. I have no idea how you manage to shop all day - I'm totally wiped out and will probably have to go to bed early tonight!

I tried on over 20 "formal" dresses (not floor length since I think I look dumpy in long skirts - I'm too short) and didn't find a single one that I liked. If I don't end up finding a new dress, the skirt and top I bought will be OK for a formal night.

Oh yes - I "saved" $95 at Carson's and $54 at Von Maur (Not that I would EVER pay full price at either store!)

Pamela

WOOHOO - congrats on the $$ savings! I am with you on the too short thing too, I feel I look dumpy in long skirts/dresses. I do have a nice halter 3/4 length dress that will do if I can't find anything else.

Hmm,I just pressed on the link and it popped right up. :confused3
Anyways,in a nutshell, he's trying to keep up with his new Meet Thread and when he got over to our revamped thread, he felt overwhelmed. I asked him if he would please,at least try to come to chat once in a while. He responded with many smiles.:) :) :)

If I had to guess, there is probably an issue with linking to a private message -- but if Debi just cuts and pastes what Andy said into a message we will be able to read it.

Makes your day seem worth while doesn't it? One of my students told me she loved me the other day. It just makes you feel so warm & fuzzy. I work with special needs kids and when they accomplish something its a big deal.

Yes it will be crowded. But I am so looking forward to walking around the park and seeing everyone. I think Julie was planning on reserving some space for Fantasmic. I could help with that since seeing the park is not my priority.

I LOVE when there's others visiting at the same time as I am and you just happen to bump into them. You would think that with such a huge crowd in the park that woudln't happen, but it does.
