Darn I got a measely 19 - ok now 20 - this is :sad2: . No way in heck I can catch up to the chatters and flirters - um......Andrew.

I see Julie and Andrew are back at it - so nice to see that - makes me feel normal again!

Shall we send out a search crew for Andy - Verandah Man? Hope all is well.

On the good news front - just found out what the remainder of our balance is for both repos. Definitely not as bad as I expected. Been seeing some quotes and I just about :faint:. Then when I got our copies today - I was pleasantly surprised - I can't afford to cancel now. No way in heck I could sign back up again.

Anything to make you feel normal, Laura!!!:goodvibes

Universal Hollywood VIP Tour Info

I dont know about you guys but I have this sinking feeling that DL is going to be way crowded on Saturday August 16th , So we looked at other options to fill our day , well we found one and I thought I would share with you what we found ....Its the Universal Studios VIP experience ...I am a huge Movie goer and I know some of Pirates was shoot at Universal so I am looking forward to actually getting close to some of the sets ....Take a look at this Link ...We signed up for the 10am tour on Saturday Aug 16th ..I know there is still room for more if your interested ....They dont charge your card till 2 days prior so we reserved it ....Should be a great day

pirate:

I didn't do the VIP experience, but Universal Hollywood was a fun day when we went in 2006. I'm sure the VIP experience would be even better, getting to see more behind the scenes sets, skipping lines, etc. For those not willing to spend the money on the VIP, you can see the sets where lots of the Pirates scenes in Tortuga were shot just on the regular Studio tour ride (which is a lot of fun).

This is too funny.
The question was asking about beach massages
:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is supposed to be a good place near the Melia (ME) on Medano Beach in Cabo. It is right in front of a beach shack called caboticket.

Also at the SandBar, on Medano Beach in Cabo you can get a service called "Get Hammered While You Get Nailed" Kind of a beer/margarita/pedicure/foot massage type deal. It is also supposed to be pretty good. My wife and her friend plan on trying this in a few weeks when we are down there for our annual timeshare visit.

Does that not sound great or what?

I know! I saw this too. It sounds like it's just the one woman, though, so I don't know how good any one person's chances are of getting her -- it doesn't sound like something you could book in advance! I would hope that the bucket of beer wasn't all opened -- it seems like a bargain and you could drink one or two and take the rest back to the ship! I think I did read somewhere that there may be other people set up on Medano Beach for massages . . .

Paula, ya see this? You have an opinion on Los Veranos versus the one you were citing? It looked like you's offerred a BUNGIE JUMP and super swing across a canyon at 120 KPH ... but someone else said it offerred no shade so might be HOT? I do like the potential $50 per trio price... or might it be cheaper if we booked a group?

On another note, there was a vagrant man outside this McDonalds I was at for breakfast this morning... so on the way out I offerred him a bag of hot food ... which he (in a medium/neutral tone ) declined... and he quickly added... "I could use some money" .... . I paused a moment and waved in silent decline to that, and left. Was I right or wrong to do that? Once before I paused to talk to such a fellow, got to know a little about him then gave him a dozen or more "handyman or simple hand labor jobs" to do for me. He was not the fastest or most skilled but he could do some productive work. Alicia never liked it much because she probably thought ... "although older and mostly harmless, he might bring an unwanted element in his vagrant friends if he spoke of what he might see at our home, or something like that,... plus what if he hurt himself on a job at our home or one of our properties...". I tried to get him public support benefits - which was a mystery to me as I've had no prior experience with those things - and I still don't know much of how it works. Except to say my fellow whom I was trying to help could not get much help for some reason which I cannot recall now. AND, I once bailed him out of JAIL ... which thankfully he showed for his court date without my reminding him or helping him (he declined my early suggestion that I give a ride - and I extended a small bit of trust that he would not get drunk and miss his court date). Eventually he had a seizure of sorts on one of my jobs - no injury - but scary, I called paramedics. It was scary and complicated. In the end we moved from that home and I was further away from his usual haunts and when I had more work I had to travel too far to get him. Plus, his last seizure episode sort of discouraged me from using him for anything but the safest types of work. ALSO, it was always a moderate concern that he spent the majority of his pay on liquor and tobacco. My spouse asked if I was really doing him a favor... and I thought it was beter than nothing. Now I am hesitant to drop funds to a vagrant when I might donate to a church or charity where I'll have a better idea for how the proceeds will be spent / invested. So, I tend to only do food for such folks.

And I know... someone is going to quip that buying McDonalds breakfast food is probably no worse than Tobacco or Alcohol. ;)

Crash, I agree with you. We have homeless people who hang out near our hospital. I'm more than willing to buy a sandwich or cup of coffee if it helps, but no money. I just can't feel good about that no matter which way I turn it.

I cannot remember if I have had Port or not.
I have to admit I was exposed to fine dining and wine throughout my childhood. It took w/ all my siblings but for some reason, not with me. I prefer meat, bread, potatoes and tea over anything else.

Most of my siblings don't care for wine either.
I've been drinking a lot of tea lately. Substituting for dessert after dinner.
Celestial Seasonings makes a Madagascar Vanilla Red that is really good and caffeine free.

Maybe this is what the man wanted the money for!!!

Ooh, what a pretty crown! The ladies are going to look so lovely on princess night! I don't own a gown and probably won't have one by the cruise, so I don't think I'll do a crown and gloves. But I'll certainly enjoy seeing everyone else looking so glam!

I was just over checking on the DISign board and RumblyTumbly got yours done! Very cute!!!!!

Laura.....have you guys had any problems with Rock Band? My sister's kids got it for Christmas and they have already had to send the guitar back. My brother said he has read several reviews of instruments breaking. He said it was a lot of fun, though.

My nephew got this for his birthday and that evening my son broke the drums.... We used some good old JB Weld and even put it on the other connections and it was much stronger. 2 days later he went to his dads house and the guitar quit working. I think they got that fixed some how.... Great concept - cheap plastic - bad design for the drums set up.

Hi Everyone! Just finished the daily "ketchup" - only about an hour, so not too bad :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Cheryl - you and the other super-shopping ladies can be proud of me! My mother dragged me out shopping today and I survived 2 hours of shopping and trying on stuff :rotfl2: :cool1: I am totally exhausted, but did get some really good bargains. I bought 7 tops at Carson's for $67 and a dressy skirt and top at Von Maur for $61. I have no idea how you manage to shop all day - I'm totally wiped out and will probably have to go to bed early tonight!

I tried on over 20 "formal" dresses (not floor length since I think I look dumpy in long skirts - I'm too short) and didn't find a single one that I liked. If I don't end up finding a new dress, the skirt and top I bought will be OK for a formal night.

Oh yes - I "saved" $95 at Carson's and $54 at Von Maur (Not that I would EVER pay full price at either store!)

Hi Gang -

Looks like there is a break in the storms - so I'm packing up and going to drive to L.A. tomorrow.
Have to run out & do some errands - like pu dog food!!

I can't do zip lines - I can't even go on some rides in DL. Don't know if DH or DD want to try it.

Todd - Paul saw Sammy Hagar not too long ago - driving his Ferrari in Corte Madera (here in Marin County) That was Sammy driving the F - not Paul - although doesn't he wish!!

Chris there are a whole bunch of us on the PV zipline (1pm) that are just going as observers. We'll be hanging out at the water park or restaurant or where ever:confused3 If your DH or DD want to zipline you could hang out with us:woohoo:

The only calamari I have liked has been at Palo and that's because it wasn't rubbery:goodvibes

Hi all . .

Yep, Laurie, I agree with you! My very meat and potato guy DH was tricked into trying it at PALOs a few cruises ago. Now he gets it every time. Wonder what their trick to making it taste so good?

Good evening...

I was floored today (not by 3 tequillas...lightweights!Lol:rotfl2: )One of the kids that I have taught for 3 years said something that absolutely SHOCKED me! He is a kids who has had it a bit rough, behavioral issues due to home stuff and being held back in school (when really didn't need to be)....We seemed to clash alot when he was in my group....because of it(the issues)....but today he said I was his favourite teacher....and gave me a hug....

Hope everyone had a great day!

Chrissie

Chrissie that is so cool. Sometimes you never know how much of a difference you are making in someone else's life. What blessing that he could express that to you!
