See what happens when you go awol for a months (beside the ENTIRE list being deleted), you forget who is who in rank . . .Sir, my expressed apologies . . it won't happen again . . .;)

I'm bettin it will........... :lmao: :lmao: Pirates only smell rank........ :rotfl2:

Wow, guys, what wonderful magnet designs! I'm so impressed!!! I just ordered photoshop 6 , so maybe you guys can help me with the designs.

Someone mentioned there were problems with horses in Mexico. I was looking into taking my sister on a tour while in Cabo, possibly through Johann and Sandra's site http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Horseback-Riding.htm. Does anyone know if that is not reputable? I know that they just started running the tours again, so one of the stables had been closed for a while.

We were also thinking about using Mr. Emerald in Cartegena as I read very positive things on CC.

Mark -
I LOVED the sea days on the repo. Deck 4 - a good book (if my eyes stayed open!) - heaven!

LOL.......I agree!!! Every book I have ever taken on a cruise ship has never been read..........at least not on the cruise !!!

PanamaCruiseMap_DCL.jpg

I'm so happy that you all plan to join in on my tastings!

Sept1.jpg

I've been looking for something like this!:dance3:

The only difference is, I want one with a full map of the US, with pictures of a plane flying from NYC to LA, then Orlando to NYC.

chatty, chatty, chatty = ketchup, ketchup, ketchup

I'll just have to tell the kids there will be no more cleaning or laundry in this house, The DIS is eating all my free time.

I hear ya. What a GREAT idea! I have 2 different types of memory cards so that is not even a hindrance. :thumbsup2

I do not have a sophisticated bone in my body so the frutty, foofier the better! I may try the tastings just to see if I all of the sudden developed refinement (but pretty doubtful).

My Dad is a big wine drinker and is always having me try something new. Some I like a lot and some I don't:confused3

I did the wine tasting on my last cruise in 2006 and only drank two of the six glasses they gave us. I usually know from the first sip if I'm going to like the wine or not.

Maybe you just haven't found a wine that appeals to you yet:confused3

Wow! I guess I shouldn't have tried to do some home repairs, I come back and the thread is changed! :confused3 Now I've got to do some ketchup!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hey Tina,

Don't you know all that needs to wait until after the TOAL?

Wine, especially richer and deeper red wines, can be an aquired taste. I aquired it in college . . . LOL . . . However, I believe I drank enough budweiser beer in college to never have to touch the stuff for the rest of life :)

MrsScrooby . . .my stepdad makes his own wine so we're guaranteed to be drinking that whether we liked it or not :) Fortunately they are usually excellent. The man has oak barrels in his root cellar (turned wine cellar).

Sounds like your dad is great, too!

Hi everyone.......I had a productive day today - Saving my DH money by spending lots of $$ on great bargains!. Got a great deal on some clothes at Old Navy and picked up a few trinkets at the disney store. Hit JCPenney looking for a 1st communion dress for DD8 and found the perfect dress, will be great for the cruise too - it was $30 - can't beat that! We also hit Barnes and Noble and picked up the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland - makes for good bathroom reading - haha. I also picked up the Panama Canal by Cruise Ship for DH

I was looking for the Panama Canal by Cruise Ship book at our B&N, and they were out. I will probably have to order.

Congrats on the greal deal you got on your DD's Communion dress. I bought my DD's last week as well. I wanted to get a jump on it before they were all picked over. She will also wear it on the cruise. There may be several little girls in white dresses on formal night! :goodvibes

They'll look beautiful next to my 2 boys in their first communion suits!

My DS7 is taking his first communion in March. He wanted to know if he could wear a tux with tails. For a split second I thought "well he could wear it again on the TOAL". :rotfl2: Guess I'll have a date for formal night.

I'm sorry, I know it's disloyal but I don't like lime green either:sad2:

These are great -- and I suppose we have to go with the green for tradition's sake????? As long as I don't have to wear it, I can put it on my door . . .

I kinda like the lime green paired with the blue, but I also prefer it on my door too:rolleyes1

The wine tastings were very educational. I might do one on this trip, particularly if they showcased California wines. I really want to try the beer tasting, though, which I've never done. I wonder how we would go about trying to do something like this through Disney? Or is it better just to discuss ahead of time which days we might do it and sign up separately? (It worked out on my July 28 cruise, at least.) Would there be multiple days of wine/beer tastings since it is such a long cruise?

There should be several wine/beer tastings with a cruise this long:confused3 Doing it through Disney would be better but I wouldn't know how to arrange it:confused3

Speaking of house repairs . . . can you believe we're going to sell our house AND move BEFORE this cruise?? I think I'll be on the cruise now just to recover . ..LOL.

The traffic from our house to DH's job as a nuclear reactor operator (the man does glow in the dark) has gone from 45 minutes to about 1 1/2 hours on a bad day. They built so many houses out in the country that those old back roads are now completely clogged with traffic. Notice they built the homes, but did NOTHING to the roads, but add a few annoying, untimely traffic lights. Thus the need to move out into the country PAST the crazy traffic so we will actually get to see DH on occasion when he is not at work or driving to work or driving home from work. We do like to occasionally see him being as I did marry him

So you can image the pace of home repairs here as well. . . we must be just a bit crazy . . .

Thanks Pamela! I have to replace the cabinets over my sink. Got them from IKEA. I've assembled one and I will need some one to help hold them up for me while I put it on the wall. It's a rail system so it should be secure on the wall when I mount them into the studs. (unlike the ones that were there!) Figured out how to cut a piece of metal though!

If you nail a two by four to the wall, you can rest the cabinets on the 2x4 while your attaching them to the wall/stud. After your done, remove the two by four, spackel the hole (I hate to admit it but toothpaste works well for nail holes) & touch-up with paint. :thumbsup2

I know a lot of you all are zipping in PV. Is there any interested in Cabo? I emailed them and they will offer a group rate I just need to give them an idea of how many. Minimum age is 8 I think and the neat thing is that you can ride tandem up to 4 at a time.

http://www.wildcanyon.com.mx/monster_zips.php I was looking at the 10:30 am time and we should be back by 2.:)

First of all thank you for contacting us, yes we have groups discounts, first I need to know how many of you are so I can give you a good deal.

And for the reservation you just need a credit card number, and when you arrive you can pay at the office or at the park, no charge will be done to your credit car until you are here. If your cruise fails to make it into the port don't worry no charge will be done. Just I have to tell you, we have a 24hr cancellation policy in case you decide no to do it, but I know that won't happen ;).

Just send me the day you are arriving the time you want to do it (9:00 am, 10:30am, 12:00pm and 3:00) and how many of you are and that's it !!

Hope this information is what you needed

Se you soon for the ride of your life

Paula,

I sent my request to the PV company. Still waiting to hear back. I should be able to let you know in a few days if I'm booked with them or if they we're full.

The tandem zip looks cool.

Understood, just wanted to remind cruisers that you should get this book and some nice little guides on board a few days in advance, the PC is great, and my son was so happy when they did it in class the following term in Geography.

That looks like a great book:woohoo: I hope they give it out again.

I agree, I fancy myself a semi wine connisour (although I don't know how to spell it) but I still learn a thing or 2 in the tastings.

Ok, I'm hesitant to take on tasks since it is still so up in the air about my sailing, but I'll see what I can find out about group tastings. It was so much easier to just have it all preassigned before we even got on the ship. And it was great FUN since it was just our group there.

Hurray, Monica!!!!! All my huge hints about SOMEONE finding out how to do this mysterious private tasting finally paid off!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, thanks for looking into it, Monica.:thumbsup2

:worship: :worship: :worship:

I wasn't able to find it in any bookstore, so I ordered it from Amazon.
Very good book:goodvibes

I have it too -- it's a good one . . .

Monica (got2travel) picked up all my pathetic hints and has agreed to look into how to do a set of private tastings . . . she was with a group on the Med repo last year that was able to do it, so it is possible . . .

Go, Monica!:thumbsup2

Oh, cool . . that would be even more fun . . .DH and I enjoy going to Virginia wineries.
