Long time no post

I guess it's a combo of work, odds and ends, working on ES pirate costume, what did I get myself into. Actually I enjoy it very much, it gives me a creative outlet.

Congratulations David! Wales beat England at Twikenham!

Let's see if I can catch up a bit.

I just copied the 1st posting on this thread so we'll have it ready for the next thread - which I was already drafting because I thought this thread was about to get frozen - so now I've got the new thread ready to launch in another window - assuming someone doesn't waltz in and BEAT me to it!

I was just looking at (admiring) the pirate costumes on ebay laast nite. I couldn't help but notice they had some unusually authentic looking CJS sparrow costumes offerred from Singapore - the same place I got my Anakin Dark Side Jedi costume from. Plus I was thinking somewhat seriously about the other exotic costumes they had listed... from Star Wars officers, to Indianna Jones stuff, to Han Solo and such. It was really getting my interest up until I began to reflect on how little I've used my Anakin costume. Besides I've already purchased a pirate costume of modest merit, and the girls all have costumes they're satisfied with - that is - if the kids can still fit into them.

I just got a response that my parents did not make 1:00 either.
But, I am sure we will all be together at the bar at the end.

I figure there may be a pirate or two lingering at the bar when we get there.

B-in' Camero was good, but I liked Filet of Sole better.

This would be a rather rare and somewhat random privilage - sort of like being the swabbie or wench to catch a glimpse of the GREEN flash at sunset!

How shall we handle this neighbors? How about we award the final poster with a Mickey bar when embarked?

I haven't looked yet, but we're thinking about getting tickets again this year (you know, last year they play there) and hopefully getting down early enough to get to monument park this time.

Just caught the renditions myself on Fox 5 - it really does have a very similar feel to the old stadium, and more seats too!

I know, you have to get there first thing in the morning to get in. The close down the line after a certain time. The All Star game will be played at the old Stadium this July.

Kids had a snow day today. I really wish they could plan better and have snow days on the days I don't have to get up early.

I got my Promotion! I am now a full,fledged Kitchen Specialist(Assistant Manager). Means a nice pay raise. Now I'm not only a Lunch Lady, but I'm a Lunch Lady with a title!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for the last few days. Caught a really bad cold - not quite bad enough to skip work, but bad enough that I just collapsed when I got home each day. Seem to be recovering now (I hope) DH is out of town on a business trip today and I never sleep well when he is gone, so I am up way past my bedtime.... On the plus side, I managed to ketchup!

Do kids know what a skating rink is?

OK, this was days ago - but not only do the kids here know what a skating rink is, our annual school "Family Skate" is this Sunday. I took DS last year and have told DH that I absolutely refuse to put on a pair of roller skates this year! If it were ice skates, I would be fine, but skates with wheels are just plain weird!

I would suggest anyone flying an airline that changes policy after you book have this printed out from airlines website and the dated receipt and be prepared to argue at check in

We're thinking alike Tom ... I just heard about this with United and went to their website today and printed it out. We have our email confirmations that are dated Jan 21st and I plan to bring all that to the airport in August!

This is really sad With DH out of town and DS8 had Karate class until 7pm, so when we got home at 7:20, we mixed up some tuna salad for dinner. No bread - there was bluish/green stuff growing on it. DS also ate some frosted mini-wheats. For dessert, we had Dunkin Donuts munchkins. (Bad Mom - very, very bad mom!)
6) What are you looking forward to seing/doing most (off hand) ON the ship?
Relaxing, reading and meeting new friends.
7) Given a choice... and you HAD to make ONE of these two choices... would you take a cabin catagory HALF as expensive and sail twice as long or ... would you trade up o a nicer cabin that costs TWICE as much but sails for HALF as long? You have to choose one... or you have to MAKE up a really ENTERTAINING alternative reply!
Twice as long - but I haven't a clue how my yard and cats would survive our being gone that long!
