Welcome back and it is good to hear you all had a great cruise. Chatty Cheryl told me all about the good and the bad and it sounds like the good far outweighed the bad.

Another birdie told me that the piratezone had disappeared, which was news to me, but then I hadn't gone out there in a while. So I looked into it. One of my credit cards was 'compromised' in August and since it was one I had not used in over a year, I just cancelled it. Turns out, that was the one the piratezone had been registered with and when the registration expired on September 1, the provider closed the account.

Anyway, since I think most of what it was being used for was chat, if you want to chat, you can use the same interface over my website at the following URL.

Well..we made it home! Almost 3000 miles later and we have arrived..I am exhausted! All of the suitecases are on the floor except the ones that came home with Richard..he has already put the clothes away.

I will have to check to make sure everything made it unbroken. I am just so happy to be home! I have a meeting in an hour so the unpacking will have to wait..I have another meeting in 5 hours so I think i am taking tomorrow off and getting this back to normal around here.

I LOL about your dh's clothes already being put away -- all of Jon's went to the Dry Cleaners. I teased him that he does that so that he doesn't have to put his clothes on the hangers...they do! LOL!

Get plenty of rest!
It turns out to be way too hard to want to get back in the swing of things after this big of a trip.

I am so sorry that happened to you!
Right now there is someone driving a Mercedes because of dh's credit. Then the bank accused me of hiding it from them....... I did tell the guy that he was welcome to come look in our driveway & garage but, it was filled with Fords. Although now 25dd drives a Mercedes (her dh is a finance guy with Mercedes).

I figure if the bad guys put this much effort into something good they would be rich the legal way!!! LOL!

This tells me that both of you weren't listening at our FIRST stop when he told us what channel to set it to! The lady was on the other channel.
Tina just remember what I told Cheryl -- NO Eye contact! LOL! Do not ask them any questions and NO eye contact!

Coral, saying you *pushed* her is putting it nicely! I don't think the poor girl even knew what was going on!

Tina and I were both on channel 3 but the range was bad on our unless you were very close to the guide. It kind of came and went. We could hear him crackle off and on but not well enough. We heard the other lady and sure enough, she'd be coming up right behind us. I think their equipment was lacking.

Finally , We are home ....were exhausted and we probably missed alot on the thread but I wont even try to read through everything ...so if there is anything important please PM me and let me know ...It was nice to meet everyone and had a great time ...I did find out that the toe is broke but thats the only thing (Peter thought it could have been more .....And by the way , Thanks to Peter,Jack,Monica and Kim for getting my but back to the room that night after the Pirate boat incident ) I could write more but I am so tired just wanted to let you al know we are home safe and sound ....

Todd, so happy to hear that it's just the toe! Although, I know it still hurts like h***. Seems they almost take longer to heal too!

All of you that had headphones in Cartagena, were you on the Best of Cartagena or the Historical Walking tour? We were on the Best and didn't get headphones.

We were on the Deluxe Cartagena w/folklore dance tour and had headphones. They were very nice to have because there were times where we wouldn't have been able to hear our guide over other tour groups.

It would have saved us all some money, eh? DH didn't know about the charge for pictures and I turned around and saw him taking a picture of DD with one of the ladies with fruit. I quickly told him that she was going to expect money for that picture. DD was happy though.

Charging for a picture like that is very common in a lot of countries. If you see a guy with a donkey, iguana, monkeys...or in this case, the fruit lady....then you know they're going to want you to pay to take their picture. That's why I have so many pictures of the donkey, monkey, iguana, fruit people's BACKS.
I just wait til they turn around!

I had to tease you- but honestly I think I caught it quickly off the ship since I didn't start coughing till really the next day.... and my mom said the cough bug is going around this town pretty good.

... I was surprised to find folks saying this same cough was making it's rounds back home on our return too! Oh well... it's back to school nite tonite... and trash day tomorrow ... so I have to finish pick up of the trash around here before we head off to school to formally meet the new teachers in our daughters' 2/3 class.

Anyone have an opinion as to if it's a good thing (or not to have your kid in a combination 2 + 3 grade class? I used to think it might be good to expose her to 3rd grade work / students ... then again, if it were my child in 3rd grade mixed with little kids ... would the opposite hold true that my 3rd grader is slowed down with 2nd graders mixing with my child? It's a case of the "glass being viewed as half full or half empty". What are the most meaningful factors in play here? I'll compare notes when I return as I'm sure our teachers will have a "pat" answer to these sort of questions.

That wouldn't work for me...they wouldn't be color coordinated then. I'm serious! I put the clothes on the hangers and on the rod then can tell DS to go get his clothes [white hangers], DD gets the light blue/purple/silver ones.

Well first day of "work" went good. Much quieter than my previous job and only 7hrs. Better than nothing for the next 2 weeks.

I rode my "steel horse" in. (ok maybe my scooter is more like a steel little mexican horse but no TICKS)

I knew that from the board but I guess DH hadn't read those posts because he had no idea. I like your strategy...sounds like a great game! A couple of people came at us with a monster iguana in Cabo when we were walking to the market. I couldn't get far enough away from that darn thing!!!

Well, we have survived the first day back to work for DH and I and school for DD10 and DS15. The ground has finally stopped rolling so much, unless I get up or move really fast. The pile of work on my desk was not too bad, which was a nice surprise. The girls loved the pictures (shutters only so far), especially the one with DS and DSGF engagement pic's from the first night.

I saw this a bit ago and found the drydock pictures absolutely fascinating, so I thought I'd post it.
