8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #15 /Life After the PC

Morning all! Big deal here today. The TODAY show is near my work at Campus Martis. Al Roker is here. My co-worker Dale was interviewed last week about coney dogs! Not sure if he made the cut.

Tina I know I am late BUT love your signature!!!!:lmao:
BILLY!

:sad1: I miss everyone...

Great video Roger!
 Miss you too.:guilty:

PS Now wish me luck on my Journal Club presentation tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out why they call it Journal Club. That makes it sound fun and social. Unfortunately, it's neither.

Good Luck Mike:cheer2: :grouphug:

You know..

... I too had that thought this time too - as I noticed little things here and there with age or wear showing - where in the past I noticed less or none of this.

Not only am I waiting for the new ships - but I am anxious to see the pricing on them. If it's a big enough difference in price I can say I'd take the Magic or Wonder and overlook the wear and tear ... as I know my kids don't notice any of it!
I noticed the wear and tear also and just assumed that dry dock would take care of a lot of it. You're right though, the kids could care less:dance3:

Thanks for the prayers.

I was totally bowled over by my parishioners response this weekend. We took up a special second collection at all the Masses to put into a disaster relief fund so that we could help people in the community.

The regular collection was a little over $24,000, which is typical for a third Sunday of the month, so they did not hold anything back for the second collection.

The second collection was just shy of $30,000! We also had 230 parishioners volunteer to help with clean-up, salvage, et cetera.

It is so nice to see faith put into action.

Today is the first day that FEMA is in town for people to go to for aid. We'll see how that goes . . .

Wow, your parishioners sound awesome:thumbsup2

How does "free dining" work? And how do you get it?

Roger.....we weren't planning on making a trip to WDW until 2010, but Rob read your post last night about going in June of 2009 and said to me "Wouldn't that be fun?"

Apparently if you can get it, you get the dining plan for free. The catch with this one is that it's for Disney Visa holders and you have to buy a 1 day ticket which stinks for us since we're AP holders... But it still would be cheaper if we can get free dining...

Lots of people have gotten the dining plan promotion but are not able to get reservations. All the restaurants are booked. Wonder how that is going to play out?

Well this is our annual Christmas trip so we've had the room since February and the meal ressies since the 180 day mark :) Now if I can get free dining to go with it.....

This is his first time on the Magic, only been on Wonder before.

Ah that would explain it!

My DD called to tell me on the cell while I was at a conference with John!!! I am so excited. :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Ok, now I have seen everything, Cheryl speechless...

It was all a dream!!!:lmao: :lmao: I even talk when I sleep!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Not I Captain....and just like you said, 2011 is the target....so what are we going to do for Pirate Night on the new ships???

Too bad most of us want to be on a new ship in 2011. It would be a great reunion cruise to do when the movie comes out and to be together on the ship for the PremEAR.

Sil, remember what we were talking about a few months ago? Looks like you will be busy in the next few months.:lmao:

The weather here has been so nice. 60s. Hope it lasts for Ms run this weekend. The F&W festival kicks off today at Epcot. Should be good. Would love to get to go this year.

Crash! Hope you guys saved the school.I know your speech must have been eloquent and full of facts.:thumbsup2

T G I F !!!
Happy Friday to all! Anybody have any fabulous plans?

Our weather is simply fabulous right now! I love it.
I got to go on a preview of Disney's Happiest Haunts tour. It was fun and helps get you in a spooky/fallish mood! I have a get together tonight with our epilepsy support group and Parker is going with the teen group to the Greek festival at the church next door to the meeting. Tomorrow Kallie has cheer and then I head to work afterwards, then Sunday we are going to DL with my niece and her family and Beau has Pulse percussion tryouts for winter drumline. Busy, but fun weekend!

We're kind of in the air with vacation plans for 2009. I'm still wanting to go on one of the 7 days in late April, early May, with DH for our 25th anny, Jordan & Jill's wedding is set for 5/16/08 and we have a week booked in Yosemite in late June. Would love to do WDW with everybody, but not sure Parker could handle the heat then. He did ok during our 4 days after the cruise, although I was surprised it was cooler then I expected. Although it was really hot on the cruise, he always had the indoor activities/cabin onboard to escape to and I really don't want to spend our time in WDW indoors! LOL We love beach vacations, so we may find a fun new beach to discover. But I'll be watching the plans you all make, just in case something works out.

Had to share a few pictures of Kallie at her cheer competition last weekend.

Have a great weekend!!

Hi everyone, I am working on my photos today (finally!). I remember many people had questions about horseback riding in Cabo and were concerned about the care of the horses there. We ended up doing the 2 hour private horseback ride at Red Rose ranch and loved it -- the horses were in great shape and the ride along the beach and up into the rocky desert near the beach was wonderful. I like the following photo because you can see the Magic in the background (all the way to the right, behind me):

Roger, I remember speaking to you after the Puerto Vallarta day and wondering if you had met the tarantula at Los Veranos . . . I promised to show you a photo of my "encounter" with him/her:

Lisa (radioclash) remember I said I had a photo of us getting off the banana bus:

I just got my lithographs back from the framing store and I hung them in my office. As we were allowed two per stateroom, I had them both signed by Ducky Williams.

I hope, if nothing else, that this brings back some fond memories of our cruise! :)

Those turned out great. I have a litho as well as one of Ducky's sketched charactors that I won at his talk (Donald Duck), and I would love to get them framed too.
