8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #15 /Life After the PC

Rich was a tremendous Yankee fan, in fact we announced our engagement at a Yankee game 40 yrs ago Aug. So when we were making the final arrangements the kids were practically hysterical when they saw a Yankees Urn. The decision was made. He went out wearing the Championship cap and pin and is sitting in his office still spying on the neighbors.:rotfl2: Some things never change. Sometimes we need a bit of levity to get thru the day............

 I agree. I'm thinking about you. And I'm glad the dog is coming around!

Now lets see how long you can get away from the computer!!!!!!!!!!!:surfweb:

:lmao: Asking an awful lot, aren't you John??

On another note:sad2: , those of you who met my DH knew he was battling brain cancer. He had an operation in 2004 and was back on Chemo last year. We agonized about whether he was well enough to take the trip but he wouldn't miss it for anything. Some of you were aware he lost that fight Jan 21. I want to thank all of our friends who made the TOAL truly that. Rich was so grateful he got to meet many of you and I have many happy pictures and videos to cherish. He loved them so much, he even had me put them on his desktop so he could watch them all the time. Thanks Guys.. Thank You to those of you with all your kind thoughts and support. It really meant so much. We are still getting over the shock of the suddenness of it but time does seem to heal. I am looking forward to seeing those of you coming to Orlando this summer.:goodvibes

I am sooo sorry to hear of your loss. My sincere sympathy to you and your family.

Just a quick note.....I'm Home!!! I did have another small blockage,so he put in another stent. Had to spend the night(never get any rest in a hospital :headache: ) and I was discharged at noon today. Have been taking it easy all day and just resting in the bed with Kiki. Kitties can be very comforting when you don't feel well. :cat:

I will be back to work by Monday. I want to thank you all for your sweet thoughts and prayers,it helps to know that I have so many wonderful, caring friends. :grouphug:

I hope you are feeling better Deb!

I just want to thank all of you for the cards and sincere thoughts and emails. Greatly appreciated. They really helped. Looking forward to seeing you guys this summer. Just don't expect me to go traipsing thru the park at the heat of the day.You know I don't do well in the heat. It's bad enough I'm going to the park Aug 7th with 2 of my cooworkers that have the same birthday.:thumbsup2 I may not have recuperated from that :lmao:

Medicare is still my nemesis but the good news is they started a health advocate plan at work and she said she will help with all the paperwork. :thumbsup2 Plus my Drs office said they can call it in as well. All this due to the fact I didn't know I had to tell them there was a new primary insurance. :headache: So hopefully with all this help they may get their act together. but I highly doubt it will come easy

So why haven't you broken down and joined Facebook yet?

I'm proud to say I've been away from the computer for the better part of a week. Just 30 mins or so every couple of days to check email and FB message... My screen on my laptop is almost kaput... Actually we thought it was totally dead, but it seems to be working today for some reason... The other reason is that the desktop is upstairs and I've been confined to the couch mostly for the last week. I woke last Saturday with the WORST pain in my leg ever! Steve had to carry me to the bathroom and then downstairs and to the car for the ER trip (Yeah it was THAT bad). By the time I got downstairs, I was dizzy and had to sit down before even going to the car. Many pregnant women have sciatic nerve issues while pregnant. Well apparently you can have the same issue with a nerve that runs in the front where the leg bends. Only, instead of a back ache that when I had it with Sydney, I could still move around, even though it hurt, I could not move my leg at all without excruciating pain! So since the desktop was upstairs, I chose to have steve carry me only once LOL! Luckuly, I am almost better now. I don't have full movement in my leg still and really shouldn't be carrying Sydney. But there isn't really any pain left... it just feels kinda weird. I am trying really hard not to overdo things to make it bad again (if that's even what happened originally!)

You better be careful Lady! I need a "Shaking Finger At You" icon. ;)

:sad2: Oh, Terri!!! I've had the sciatica pain -- unfortunately it stayed with me after the last couple of babies! -- but, that sounds HORRIBLE!!!
I certainly hope (and pray) that it doesn't come back!!!!

Well for one, we only have the one computer at home, and I can't get near that one. (2) I can't do it at work. But at least I have control of the TV at night, so I get to watch what I want.

You better be taking care of yourself>

Thanks... I'm doing good now, though my leg still feels a tiny bit weird. I too am really hoping that it doesn't return....

I am taking care of myself :) And the 2 girls too!

Did I ever mention on here that Sydney is eating on her own?!! She's a bit of a pig at times! Breakfast is 1-2 Eggo waffles, lunch and dinner are equally large! It's probably been 2mo since I've used the tube at all!!!

That's great news that Sydney is eating on her own. Did you ever get into the clinic program?

I'm assuming by your post that the newest addition is going to be a girl? Congrats.

Yes, somehow that clinic seems to have done a lot of good for her. I can't even tell you what exactly they did. Maybe she was just ready and the different circumstance for a week is what did it. *shrug*

Yep the new little one (and only 1!) is another girl. At least the ultrasound tech was pretty sure anyway LOL! My in-laws don't believe it till the baby is born since my nephew was supposed to be a girl....

Speaking of babies....for those of you not on FB.... Our oldest dd & her dh are Blessing us with a grandson around Aug 17th. :goodvibes

Claire (7) has decided that she will be the coolest Aunt ever...She is going to teach the baby his first word and it will be.....*poop* Because when you are 7 that word is hilarious. And it is even funnier (to her) because she knows that we don't want her saying it! LOL!

Jon is already telling me to convince our dd not to nurse exclusivly because he wants the baby to stay with us ALOT. :rotfl: He has plans for that baby!!! :goodvibes

The local ABC news in orlando just reported that DCL plans to move the Wonder to LA in 2011. Can't wait to hear about that repo. I wonder if it will sell out as fast?

I don't think it will be hard to convince Cheryl and I to flip our 2010 cruise, to another repo.

:banana::banana::thumbsup2
