I know that isn't funny but, I did *lol* at the idea that a parent would threaten something like that. I never*threaten* with anything I'm not willing to follow through with...kwim?

Although I did threaten my now 28ds when he was about 10 that if he didn't shut is mouth I would slap the c*ap out of him. He was the type that couldn't shut his mouth....

What, you're not willing to follow thru with that threat? It's not like they NEED the c*ap anyway...

(ps. I've said that a time or two myself- what is it about 10yr old boys that make you want to say things like that? LOL)

Will they make it through airport security? I'm thinking you can always wear them on the plane.

I still have to get to the grocery this week so Mom and DD have something to eat while we are gone. Not that either of them cook. But I do want them to have cereal, milk, bread, etc. Usually I am trying to use all that kind of stuff up before we leave.

Dh told me that it would be nice if we had food in the house for ds - since he is staying here while we're gone...

We'll do.

I just got a call from DCL about dining (seems they were confused on something with my table) .. anyways..they said that DCL dining was working on confirming the dining today..so hopefully we will know something soon!

Has anyone else's Palo reservation disappeared???
Esteri and I were linked before the big linking that happened last week. She made the Palo dinner and brunch reservations for all 4 of us since I couldn't even load the first DCL page on "hassle free" night. Now she doesn't see us listed on her Palo reservation & it isn't in my "My Cruise Plans" anymore. Someone may have to smuggle out a seafood risotto and a choclate souffle for me.

They will disappear if you've been included as part of a Private Dining Room group. That's what happened to our individual brunch rezzie when we got pulled into a group brunch.

Esteri and I were linked before the big linking that happened last week. She made the Palo dinner and brunch reservations for all 4 of us since I couldn't even load the first DCL page on "hassle free" night. Now she doesn't see us listed on her Palo reservation & it isn't in my "My Cruise Plans" anymore. Someone may have to smuggle out a seafood risotto and a choclate souffle for me.

Last week..my Mom and Sister's Brunch ressie disappeared..I had to call and fuss a bit to get them put back. They didn't know why they disappeared. Call DCL soon and have them put it back.

So if the brunch ressies got canceled when everyone was linked, why did none ever show up on the Palo site?

We got to swim with some turtles 2 cruises ago, they sure are cool.

That was DH's snorkeling adventure in Honduras earlier this year. A trip he went on for work so I didn't go.

I swapped in auto colors and it seems to emphasize the reds more than auto levels. I'll just wait and see what shows up in the camera and then decide.

I should have some images after our first port of call.

Well, I checked at our grocery store,no Downey Wrinkle Release there either.

How bizarre... Guess it is worse there than in NM! Thought we were rural...

What a day I have had packing. After packing a large bag very carefully, I went to zip it up and guess what? A broken zipper. Arg! Went out and got two new ones thinking an extra one wouldn't hurt. Then it happened again with another suitcase, the zipper tore away from the case! Guess I should be glad we picked up two to begin with. We still might need another one, we'll see tomorrow when I finish the last minute things! Bummer, would have been nice to spend that money on other things, like those things that shine and wrap around my finger!!!! I guess that was on my mind since tomorrow is our 18th wedding anniversary.

We have one with a zipper that is superglued after the airline ripped it on DH's way back from Honduras...

When I log on now, it tells me that I am linked to more than 5 cabins. I'm sure that there are not 5 cabins at one table.

Where do you see that? I don't see anything about being linked? I too had trouble logging in last night. So are you guys saying that since we're linked with 200 people, that if one of us is logged in no one else can log in too?

I hope your DD is feeling better today. I'm waiting until I can call the doctor today and take my DS. He's been running a fever since Friday and I'm pretty sure he has a sinus infection now. I figure like you do, at least get this over now before leave.

My DD had a fever most of last week... Why do they get sick right before leaving?? Hope your DS gets better quickly!

Even at age 3 we discovered that time out didn't work...

Grounding her just punishes ME...and being an only child...she's used to being alone.... She could literally entertain herself in an empty room i think...

Interesting packing tidbit:

Tink wings do not fit in a suitcase.

Not even a really big suitcase.

The ones dd has would fit in our 29" cases... (from her disney tink outfit)

We had Linda, Betsy, and myself linked for brunch (3 different cabins) and it used to show under all of our cruise plans. Now it only shows under Linda's (she's the lead on the ressie), but when you go into it, it shows that she's reserved at a 4 top table.

OMG you made me laugh so hard I about peed my pants. LOL

one time Jeff was sooooo frustrated with Robert that he told him if he didn't stop what he was doing he was going to knock his head off. Ofcourse he didn't mean it LITERALLY but you should have seen Robert's eyes when he heard that and a few minutes later he was asking me in private if dad was really gonna knock his head off. (Robert takes things literal plus he's still at the age that he thinks his father's strength is superhero like LOL) I had to have a little talk with Jeff about threatening such DRASTIC violence. LOL

Oh I wasn't holding back the ipod as a punishment- since she didn't even know about it. I was just refusing to give her something that she really wanted- when she was grounded, not behaving, and grades dropping. She was already being punished in other ways (like mp3 player and gameboy taken away, tv out of her room, etc.)

Grounding doesn't really work when all she's basically doing nowadays (most of the summer) is just going to church. I'm not gonna withhold church as part of the grounding. And I'm certainly not grounding her at DL! that's grounding ME!

Knock your block off eh? ... The litterail traslation of the THREAT my parents snapped in Chinese was "I'll Chop your head (off)".... and spoken in Chinese sounded close to this: "Ngoy Juummm... Neeee Goooy Howww" ... spoken with a certain Chinese meaness. And if in the prescence of a Chinese person from around he Hong Kong region ... but NOT Hong Kong itself (IE, country folk... not city slicker)... there's a fair chance that if you spoke this phrase above they'd turn and STARE really hard at you. Maybe even drop into a posture as if you'd attack them or they drop into a posture as if to RUN AWAY! In my case it would've been to RUN AWAY.... < wink > as a 4-5 year old is generally a munchkin with everyone else double the height and 4 times my mass! At least....

Now a days... I've already sent my kids into self defense Karate classes... and if I said anything like that to them (English as I've not taught them much Chinese... especially the punishment phrases) ... but whenever Igrump in regular english... in some cases... they swarm me and threaten me with Karate "KEEE-EiiiiiS!" .... sometimes aiming for the "nuts".... just like my girls were taught in self defense class. < sobering slow chuckling >

By the way.... there were other "Chinese" threats my parents and siblings used to spout... but this IS a family oriented thread... and I wouldn't want to lead a bunch of pirate parents into a series of what amounts into "How to CURSE and CUSS in Cantonese with a dialect like a Chinese Peasant (in ONE easy step)"...

So BIP...

Onthe other stuff.... I've cut off the TV from my daughters' room... then removed it (as that was the plan all along - she got it initially on account of her being really SICK and stuck in bed once and I left it there a spell out of lazyness... BIG MISTAKE there "Dad")..... and I've given time outs... and we have a system of earning "surprises" which can accumalte. These "surprises" are essentially $5 credits good for "things".... or "favors". Multiple "surprises" build into progressively bigger things. AND... for other "good acts", "good results" or "favors" we dish out defined cash amounts good ONLY for savings where the "money grows". So far ... neither child has thought to ask WHEN the money ever comes out of savings. < whew >

I;m sorrybut I gotta run NOW... I'l finish this when I get to my hotel than repost it forward.

If you have a group resie in Palo's private room it will not show up on your resies BUT if you try to make a resie it will stop you and say that the person already has a reservation for that type of meal.
