After chatting with ya at that last swim meet I decided to STEP UP / SCALE UP my FE plans. See what ya did ta me? < chuckles >

Are ya packed yet? We've got NOTHING packed so far! And Alicia is traveling on business thursday nite again! I have AYSO soccer referee classes friday nite and saturday morning ... AND at 5AM I am meeting my FIL and BIL who land at LAX from Hawaii. So I'll be up from 4AM saturday!!!

What time do ya plan on being at the port? I'm dropping off Alicia more or less at 10AM... then I'm driving off to get my FIL/MIL to the port near 11AM. Since Alicia is alone with my kids I was hoping someone friendly might recognize them and sort of be OK to hang with while we all wait to get aboard. If not - then that's Ok as Alicia is a tough nut. She had to have been one to have married me - and hung out by my side for 8 years before we became engaged. I guess I couldn't getrid of her - nor could she get rid of me? < wink >

If I see Alicia and those girls of yours, I'm sure I'll be gravitating towards them. Now whether or not Alicia appreciates ME hanging with her or not, remains to be seen. Depends on if she likes talkers or quiet people.... I'm not the latter. LOL So if she doesn't mind someone talking her ear off.... we're good to go. LOL

I'm not sure of the timing, we will be coming from Roger's parent's house. But we will be happy to keep an eye out for Alicia and the girls.

Okay fellow repo cruises, I need opinions please! We're getting a little paranoid because we're schedule to land at 12:30...with the ship leaving at 4, that's not much leeway. Tony has double-booked us (I LOVE SW) so we can fly out either Sat. night or Sun. morning. It looks like we could get an airport hotel w/shuttle at a decent rate. So what would y'all do? I hate to abandon our pets for an extra day (a sitter is coming in but it will still be traumatic), but I'd also hate to miss the ship and be swimming to Cabo to catch up!

I would go with the Saturday flight too....there have been so many stories of flight delays, cancellations and changes over the last week...it makes me so nervous for people flying on Sunday!

Actually, there are quite a few So Cal people who won't be leaving until as late as 9:00am!

as fun as it is reading the comments of those who have begun their journeys and vacations...I am so glad we don't have to fly to get there! I do have our suitcases down and lists made, and just about everything bought now. Probably won't actually pack things in the suitcases until friday night or saturday. The kids are so excited they can't stand it. They have been practicing snorkeling in the pool. I have to take DS15 to school registration tomorrow, go to the bank and cash in our big coin jar (reminds me I have to weigh it again to see if we went over 50lbs yet). Have to call DD's school and remind them she won't be there the first few days, call bussing to tell them too and a few other odd ball things.

Continued happy & safe travels to all.
Today is warm, but overcast and a bit balmy at our house....yep our monsoonal moisture is coming.

Oh and i realized we will have a full moon on 8/17....we're planning on a howling good time!





Pirate t-shirts for the boys here too, but I have a slightly "upgraded" outfit, not quite just a t-shirt but certainly not a costume. And the boys are now complaining that I didn't make something for them, geez

I'm sorry I had you worrying! Funny thing is- worrywart that I am I was NOT worried about this. weird huh? LOL Hakunah matata becomes my motto once I'm in "disney" land (or world LOL)
Didn't even ask for zipcode, although I did remember to memorize that right before handing her the tickets. and UGH I wish i knew that they didn't do fingerprints here.. I'd have bought more tickets for us to go more days and just made sure one day was left for us +1 for Jeff on saturday. Live and learn! LOL All they did was scan it... no fingerprinting so now I know that we could have "shared" tickets with each other. But no problems using them at all.

Hoz it goin'! We're all ready to travel... even my Mr Emerald tour - which gradually dropped from 24 of my 26 in the party ... to 15.... then to 10... well... that truned around and now it's up to just over 25 again since I opened it up and invited any friendly DIS folks to join us!

How are the other plans going? Anything new in the way of news at Palos?

Well, DH is in the Coast Guard, so it would actually take WW III for his "company" to be bought out. Let's hope that doesn't happen for all of our sake.

Although, unlike a civilian job, if he is ordered to cancel an 18-day vacation to attend a 45 minute meeting & he doesn't...he won't get fired, he'll end up in jail.

Seriously, his leave was approved a month ago. He should be OK. Although the "your own death is the only excuse" thing has me a bit concerned.



I wouldn't dish it out if I didn't know you could take it.

I remember him being in the Coast Guard...........I don't know why I thought that changed when you moved. You have the right to be concerned. Sending you some that you don't have to do the TOAL without him.

A last minute request for some prayers....

I just rec'd a phone call that my favorite cousin passed away. She was only 50. The doctors found a blood clot and had her resting..seems she got up to use the restroom and the clot let loose and went to her heart.


If you could remember my family in your thoughts and prayers..it would be appreciated.

Wow , Is it really that close ...LOL okay most of our bags our packed , 3 of us = 5 Duffle bags all within 46 -49 pounds , 1 Garment bag at 49 pounds and 3 carryons , plus me and DS"s back packs and SM's purse ...LOL

Needless to say the " Captain Jack gets alot of Booty" shirts wont be making the trip ...we have just way too much stuff , figuring we are doing 20 days on the ship and between DL and WDW thats another 5 almost 6 ...thats alot of clothes ...LOL

We printed our boarding passes , this time tomorrow we should be arriving at SNA .....got some last minute stuff to do tonight including Football Practice and Sushi for dinner ...

It's been a long 18 month journey. My costume suitcase is over 70 lbs. I think in total all the costumes I'm bringing are over 100 lbs.

Todd! Do you know you created all this.

Can't wait to meet you and your family in person.
