Careful, it sneaks up very fast. When we got married, DW's little sister was 12. Now lil-sis is getting married at GF in Feb next year - where did the intervening 12 years go

Our own DD(7) will be the flower girl.

About the gather up the dog and the kid and head over to drop off the dog and pick up my brother. He's taking me to pick up the rental van and then keeping my car while we're gone. Once I get home I'll load up the van, do a last lap around the house cleaning up a bit, then hit the road.

Just getting DD to get going on her school day...we are working ahead so she is on Thursday's work...trying to explain to here that things get a little busy here starting this afternoon...she says she understands..but I think she has no idea!

I am sooo jealous but I guess someone has to hold the thread together ..

Well yesterday was not my day.. after the mishap with the wallet, I went and got a hair cut and color after work.. and she was consistant.. good hair cut, bad haircut, good hair cut , bad haircut.. consistant..

I got home and each one of the boys commented to me.. "oh, you got your hair cut. new style??" they were trying to be polite.. normally ( on the good haircut cyle) they don't even notice or say anything.. but not this time..

when people meet me I know that they will smile and say hi but under their breath will be "wow, look at that bad haircut".. or maybe I'll just wear a hat or a tiara...

then I got home and went to plug my laptop into the internet and get on chat and the thread but the internet was down.. DH looked at it and then Geoff (DS#1) and concluded that the router was fried... so no internet for me.. but I must have looked so sad with my bad haircut and sad face that they felt sorry for me and DH went to get a new router.. so Geoff has a project today to get it working...

7:30 am meeting and so the day goes... but only 3 days until TOAL

I totally understand your concern. The military doesn't care about your personal life. When dh was still in the military, there were about 4 Mother's Days in a row where he was out of town on duty. I said to him once, "Don't they realize you have a wife and kids?" He said the military's response would be "Hey, we didn't issue you a wife and kids."

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope you don't have to kill someone.

Looks like we will start driving tonight. The bags are just about packed. Just need to do the carry ons. All depends on whether or not I get the house in order this morning. Will be picking up the rental van in a few hours. We'll probaby drive as far as Buttonwillow tonight, then on down tomorrow. Depending on timing may stop at Pinks along the way.

Ok, not sure I'll be back again today. I have to finish putting the last minute items in, then we are out the door.

Our head swim coach that resigned last week, due to possible lack of job and needing insurance for the baby on the way, is at the hospital this morning and baby is on the way!!! He/she is about 10 days early, so we hope that all goes well!! Too exciting!!!!

Our flight leaves later tonight and DD and I only got about 4-5 hours of sleep, me that much the last 3 nights, so it might be a quiet flight for us. She had her last practice with her coach last night, and cheer camp, then kept running into things, meltdown began, she kept waking me up because she couldn't sleep...maybe we will sleep tonight. Although, I am not convinvced we will make it to the parks early tomorrow. I think I will let her sleep, otherwise it could get ugly!!

Safe travels to everyone, maybe we'll see some of you that are already there, and we can't wait to meet you!

I don't like my hair color/cut much either. She didn't listen to me when I said it would be too light.

And as I was backing out of the driveway today, I hit the neighbors car. There is never a car there....well, there was one there once before and I hit that too.

They had to move it from their driveway for something. I saw it there all morning, but never made a mental note when I was leaving. Nothing too bad, but their bumped is plastic and it cracked it. I'll take care of it when we get back. Who knows...maybe they will get into a little fender-bender before then with someone else.

Drive by posting. Hope all is well with everyone - safe travels. Had a very trying last couple of days for trying to get over this virus. Have yet to pack and we leave in about six hours. I have been breaking mine left and right! It's all of this cleaning the house and shoving things in suitcases!

No, unfortunately not until Friday. I have been busy getting averything together. It doesn't help that none of my kid's things are where they are supposed to be.

And I was so upset with dd on Monday. Went in her drawers to find a few more clothing items, and found a disaster! I mean dirty clothes mixed in with clean clothes, mixed with doll clothes, mixed with random things like crayons, nailpolish, toys, etc. So, I had to empty them all out and wash everything. Five loads later........

I finally feel like I am getting a handle on the packing now.
