I almost went into hug mode when I first saw you but then I held back- I wasn't sure if you might be one of those that isn't into "hugging" -especially people you only knew online! LOL
So just FYI- I was THINKING about laying a hug on ya! LOL
Hey everyone!
Even though we didn't end up going to DL today we've had a pretty eventful day. We met Desiree.... and we got "lured" into doing a timeshare presentation (well we had time to kill anyway! LOL) and ofcourse I said no- but we got $120 disney dollars for doing it (which I feel is hard earned because it lasted over 2hrs instead of 90 minutes and I had to say no to 4 different people) AND THEN the limo they call to take you back to your hotel was very late. We had to wait almost 45min till they finally showed up- so they gave us another $20 disney dollars to make up for the wait!
We had them drop us off at DTD because ofcourse we had disney dollars eating a hole in our pocket! it had to be spent! LOL
We got mickey ears- although mine are the only "classic ones" (to wear on mickey clubhouse night on the cruise!) -we'll have to get them embroidered tomorrow at DL. Anyway, Ruby got girly pirate one, Robert got a pirate one, Rita (guess....) got a princess one. LOL she also got a baby minnie in her velcro blanket and all (which I gave in for because we both forgot she wanted to bring her minnie on this trip! It's at home on her bed still sleeping- says Rita LOL)
AND.... I got a new watch!
backstory: my watch I've had for many years (and the one previous to this one was the exact same kind/design and I had that one for ovfer 15yrs~!) no longer fit- I got links taken out a few years ago when I lost so much weight- and now the weight is back PLUS I'm a bit swollen right now so it's too tight to wear- has been for awhile. And the battery is dead. And I lost the links to have them put back in!
I tried to see if the local jewelry store had some extra links but they looked and none that would fit...... so I need a watch! I can't stand walking around and doing all this stuff and having to lug around a phone and checking it (pulling out of my backpack everytime) I want to be able to "at a glance" know what time it is! So since I had disney dollars.... I splurged on one here. Ofcourse all this stuff cost more than the disney dollars we had. LOL But we knew we'd spend SOME while here anyway- right?
and it's versatile- the bands change (3 kinds) and the faceplates have the ring things that you can change the look of the faceplate. love it!
Oh i forgot to say about our room that it's VERY ROOMY- and to think how little we're paying for it (with ent. card price) LOL There is room for the rollaway for Robert and I swear we could (if necessary and if they allowed for it) put 2 more rollaways in here easily! Ofcourse if we had 3 rollaways we couldn't walk much on one half of the room near the balcony- but it would be possible! LOL
and it really IS a very short walk to HOJO from DTD/DL! (and the weather is absolutely lovely to us Texans! but I said that already earlier didn't I? LOL)
I placed an order at VON'S to be delivered tomorrow while we're at DL because the food around here is just entirely too expensive. just breakfast stuff and snack type stuff to "supplement" what we're eating at DL on the days we're there but also for Friday when we won't be going to DL. I really should have done that before I left but I just didn't realize how much it would be needed. LOL
I don't think there is anyway I'll catch up on the board, but just wanted to drop by and say hi. Off to DL in the morning so I better catch some shut-eye.. this will be our first time in DL! Well first time for the girls atleast -I tease them that Robert's already been (since I was about 7.5mo pregnant when I "walked around" in DL way back then) but for me it will still be the first time to see most of it and the first time to ride anything there. So we're counting it as our first time period. LOL We're excited- especially because after today we realized we WON'T be sweating to death all day- the weather here is absolutely divine to us... we never broke a sweat today even though we were outside in the middle of the day and walking blocks/etc. And it does get REALLY NICE around 7pm or so... like almost cold! (but not quite- I'm not regretting not packing jackets/etc. just yet- we'll see if I regret it later in the week if it gets any colder in the evenings!)
Can't wait to meet people and see you all on the cruise. Hurry up and join us, won't you?

), mother drives a new Liberty with the skyslider sunroof. We also had, many moons ago, a Cherokee Sport. I don't think we'll ever drive anything but Jeeps, and in NY during the winter, they're a godsend!
