YES!

I was a little put out yesterday when I saw people checking in for the cruise. When I asked a cast member over here, I was told that it was only for those people who had bus transportation arranged through DCL.

Bummer. Major bummer. Because I had Super Shuttle arranged.

So, instead of having to take Super Shuttle -- and lug my bags to the port -- I am already checked in for the cruise. (They even called Super Shuttle for me to cancel my transfer and to have a refund applied to my credit card!)

They swiped my passport and verified all the paperwork and I'm in business. Tomorrow at 11:45 a.m. I have to meet at the Conference Center of the Grand Californian and the bus leaves at 12:20 p.m. I was told that I will receive my Key To The World card tomorrow in the Conference Center.

Luggage will be picked up in my room tomorrow morning around 8:00 a.m. I don't even need to be present. I just have to have the luggage tags on them for the porters to pick up.

I'm sitting here practically in tears because we can't find a dress that we bought for DD14 for semi-formal nights. NO CLUE where it went. Then I'm not sure what she is going to wear to dinner. I thought we were good clothes wise for all of us. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

If it helps.....I couldn't find DS15's dress pants...so I sent DH with him to Targ'et....for a new pair! In addition to a few other misc errands...mainly to keep them out of the house for a few hours.

Packing is going swimmingly.....I'm kind of shocked actually! My new best friend.........space bags! WOW are they amazing! DH is having a ball with them.

Got my mani/pedi....so my hands and feet look lovely!! Picked up a ultimate vanilla aka slice of heaven, from the Coffee bean on my way home and I'm back to packing! Clothes are done for us all.....working on my boxes of "stuff"! Where the heck did all this "stuff" come from????

Hi everyone!
Well we didn't last the entire day as planned. DH got in kinda late last night (not surprisingly his flight was delayed- as usual at DFW!) but we did get up early and to DL for half the day then had lunch at RFC and totally stuffed ourselves with delicious foods (all of us had eaten nothing but snacky type foods or PB&J or microwave stuff all week long. We were hungry for some real food! LOL) so we walked to DCA feeling like stuffed sausages. We rode a few rides, decided that was enough for now and head back to HOJO. Kids and DH went swimming and I'm just about to tell them to get out and get dressed again. We're heading back over to DL soon- to meet everyone for fantasmic and then hopefully we'll make it awhile at DL after that to ride some more rides and atleast TRY to get our money's worth on DH's ticket just for today. LOL

then...... I'm sure everyone will crash while I stay up late repacking stuff and getting everything set to go early in the morning then go on the pirate bus! i'm really looking forward to the cruise after such busy (lots of walking LOL) days here at DL/DCA... ready for some rest and relaxation! and fun with my DIS'er friends!
We did see a few people today. they came up to us each time- so I guess we were more noticable in our mickey mouse club shirts with our names on the back? We're also wearing our lime green wristbands AND pirates wristbands today. we're morphing from DIS'ers to pirates. LOL tomorrow we'll start wearing only pirates wristbands probably. Saw Rockolamama and a few others that came up to us AND we had lots of comments about our shirts from castmembers and other people at the parks too. Everyone commenting how great the shirts were and some asking where we got them- who were disappointed when they found out it was from online and not somewhere in DL. LOL

Gotta run... gotta get everyone back dressed to head over to DL!

speaking of hands/feet- mine look awful! they are really taking a beating the past few days with all this walking... blisters and all sorts of bruises and scratches. LOL
also I really should have done my french manicure/pedicure before leaving... I figured I'd do it before the cruise but not before going to DL. Well bad idea... all nails have been breaking, cracking, etc. and now they are a mess. Not long(ish) like they were before! so ugh, I'll be the one with ugly feet and hands. Ohwell, should match the rest of me quite well.

Normally I would be jealous but interestingly enough I'm cruising tomorrow as well - look out Wonder! I booked this cruise only a 1.5 months ago. Who would have thought that I would have missed the 90 booking mark because I was already on a cruise. I guess that's what happens when your addicted.

Hello!

This may be my last porting before we return...

.... I've just picked up a portable HD from Costco, plus found to my bemused annoyance that Frys' had a 16GB SDHD class 6 speed card on sale for $49! I paid $44 for an 8GB class 4! ... so I'm gonna ship off and return the $44 card and keep the 2 16GB cards I just picked up!

All my FE and SM, and some other fun DIS neighbor gifts are done! I have 3 small but dense/heavy boxes of stuff for the foregoing! AND I'm mildly annoyed that the door sign I made - a nice collage of past sailings on Disney was denied me by the photo manager at Costco. She claimed my 12x18 mini-poster used compywrited images of DISNEY trademarked things... well - golly gee... it's just mickey this and that all over and they won't let me take it!

SO I am resigned to trying to print to a DIFFERENT Costco where I'll be swinging by just before I board the ship - and if they let me take it - I'll be happy. IF NOT.... I happen to know th assisstant manager at thta Costco - and I'll tap him to see if the photo manager wioll let me take it.

Actually, now that I think about it. Every now and again, I dress up and go to Disneyland. Not for any reason at all. But, wear a suit and you can walk stright down the middle of Main Street and the crowds will split for you, its amazing!

I'll be the one without a mani/pedi. I was supposed to go today and then 17dd tells me that she has a meeting at Church... That took up the morning and we didn't get home until after 1:30 (our church is over 30 mins from our house).

Out of curiosity, are you concierge? Because I just checked in and asked if I receive my card and I was told that I would receive it tomorrow when I showed up at the conference center for the transfer.

Just wondering why you have yours already and figured you might be concierge . . .

I think if you took your own transportation..you would have gotten a KTTW card...we checked in as well before we checked out of the hotel and rec'd ours.

THIS will be my last posting.... I can't find my WHITE TUX? How strange can that be? Plus I don't know if I'l have room for my CJS costume!? DRAT! I wonder if Alicia packed her piratre costumes? I'm packing so much stuff - it's kind of tough this trip.

I have a surprise for ya - here's a peek at my door sign. It's rather simple I think - however it make up for it's simplicity with graphic intensity. Obvious since it is a collage of photographs, after all.

Gosh... I cannot BELIEVE how heavy we're traveling. ALL the cardboard boxes - 4 of them - are FE gifts, gifts (magnet dry erase memo boards) for every DIS cabin - gifts for the ice cream race winners and for my partners in crime running it - and of course - Ihave that extra DVD camcorder which a DIS neighbor expressed interest in uying off me since I stepped up to a HD SD camcorder. Oh yeah... I think I might leave my DSLR behind! I'vejsut got too much stuff! I'll be bringing 3 pocket sized digicams in substitution! That new Olympus 850 SW underwater job (I've taken less than 3 pictures with it)... my old pocket Fuji which I bought for a net $30 (after rebate and adjustment for the sec 529 investment gift credits of $100 from AMAZON)... and our 3rd digicam is my little daughters' Mickey Mouse Digicam - the same which shall be awarded to the winer of the childrens' Mickey Bar Ice Cream Race! Here's a picture of her camera - the race award!

So what am I doing here and NOT packing? Well... my little one woke up and wanted Daddy to lie next to her bed - so I'm surfing a few minutes while she slips back into slumber.

Ya should have jumped on board our sailing. We're gonna have one incredible gang of lite hearted souls on this one. Of course... I just might end up wandering 15 days aboard and NOT bump into anyone I know.... < wink > .... gee.... I duhnno with 192 DIS cabins on board.

GEE.... shame on me for perhaps teasing you. You're a lucky one to be booked for TWO Disney cruises now. We're gonna book on board... not sure of the schedule in spite of my enthusiasm for your sailing next year. We just booked a cruise for January - to enable spending time wih some local friends and my parents - who both did not want to fly to the ship. Oh well. Plus we are about to book a week on Big Island at the Hiton Waikaloa... followed by a dog leg stop/visit somewhere... possibly SF. We're burining miles for the air fare since it's got space available on our preferred SPRING BREAK travel dates... and especially since the air fare is curently priced at $900 pp on the flights we're about to schedule. SO... for the 140,000 miles we'll spend we save about $3,800! Not a bad application of air miles, I'd say.
