grrrrrrrr our limo was a no show. Had to drive to the airport in our F250.

Managed to get through checkin and security quickly.

Need to back up my computer. I am bringing 1 2GB and 3 1GB memory cards plus the laptop so I hope I will be OK.

As for the cards, those should be plenty as long as you download each night or couple of nights. I was shooting the track team and usually shot over 1200 per meet - never go a full message from my 2 gig. Course I shoot them only in 2nd best. I don't usually blow up past a 5X7

I'm still around. Just busy packing & such. Our house is very near the 405 freeway and there was a huge truck crash on the Southbound lanes that closed the entire 405 in both directions. I'm not sure if it has even opened up yet, as I can't hear any traffic on it still. The truck that hit burst into flames and caught a house just over the retaining wall on fire, so there was tons of smoke, debris, firetrucks down our street as well as on the freeway. DH and DS18 walked down to check it out and said they don't think anybody survived by the looks of it......very sad! Now dramatic DD9 is all nervous and going thru the "what if's"...she gets that way after events like these.

For those locals traveling via car tomorrow...keep these things in mind, you never know when the freeway will get shut down and I wouldn't want it to jeopardize anybody's TOAL!

we pushback in 5 mins. Called all 3 of the limo company's numbers - zilch.

Anyway, we made our flight. Next stop LAX.

Wow that sounds horrible. We are literally around the corner from the 5 fwy and can hear it at night and all the cars that slam on their brakes. I once heard a truck hit the cement guardrail and was surprised that the driver survived. It was horrible. Hope your not stuck too long at your house and if you are - that you get all your packing done.

Kinda sucks for us locals huh?

I'm here in Redndo Beach w/DD Lori. She's getting her hair done and doing some errands. DH Paul & I are about to go to Trader Joe's and BevMo. Then we get to repack - have a Sushi dinner and ..........

Missed our first flight (please don't ask). Were able to schedule a new one at 4:05. Full plane and and seats not near each other. Should be interestin...Think we'll just drive straight down as Vegas is pretty much shot. Boarding should start in 5 min. Xanax seemed be working pretty well earlier. Not quite as well now...
G uess our luggage will be waiting for us when we land.

The good news is: We are at Orlando International, camped out at the Southwest gate for our 5:30ish flight.

The bad news is: Yellow and red on the radar over Denver. I sure hope that doesn't mean a possible weather diversion! Oh well, Tony is trying to assure me that we'd just go to Phoenix and Vegas and be able to get an LA flight from either of those in the worst case scenario.

I just love this airport...free internet, plus the cushy SW seats w/plugs for your laptop.

Barb, I'm at the Denver airport for a connection to LAX from DTW. We were delayed on the way in for about 30 minutes due to rain and our flight out to LAX is supposed to be delayed 40 minutes. No severe weather, though. Good luck.

we had the same problem yesterday with AA. The plane was to leave 1:20 but we didn\t get on til 3. Have a safe trip.
