Yah, Only 8 more days till we leave for our vacation and I am so excited and now it's only 1 digit numbers wow I can't believe it. I can't believe that this is my 100th POST. YAH. I was trying to past my own goal and pass it before we leave for the cruise.


I am getting excited just need to go down the packing list that I see on the boards. That is very helpful and I need to get going but I am addicted to the Dis Boards

To everyone "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" if I missed any. Also, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

I know everyone is very busy and all - and people starting their travels, I just hope that everyone is safe and non-stress . Also, want to say Thank you for everything that you all have done with great information and good advice and also great friendship.

And why didn't someone tell me what a pain these ipod shuffles are? geesh. I thought I was putting songs on the thing all night long (practically) and turns out nope- gotta download itunes and junk and put it on that way. what a pain in the patootie. Ohwell- atleast it's done now so my ST can get off my back about it. LOL
I wonder- do these things only charge on PC's or will it still charge up the battery by plugging it into the laptop while on the trip? curious minds wanna know!

Hmmm... I don't know about the new shuffles. I have an older one and it charges on any USB port regardless of whether or not ITunes is installed.

BTW - Some cel phones also charge on USB ports - so you can avoid bringing a charger if that's the case.

Anxious? Definitely, but about everything outside my direct control (yes, I am a bit of a control freak) - t-s***** being at DLH , BA losing luggage , one of the kids getting sick , forgetting something vital etc.

That was one expense / hassle we didn't have to deal with at our reception. It would have involved getting a liquor license and being responsible for anything that happened to anyone who drank anything. Most of the people who came drove 3-4 hours and went home that night so they probably wouldn't have had anything anyway.

Reminds me of our wedding reception. We had an open bar for the wedding party and parents. I think the bar tab came to $36.

I think my friends and family may have vetoed a dry wedding! There would have been too much sneaking alcohol in if we didn't provide it. At least it's just beer & wine.

I am exhausted..I have been working WAY too many hours...I got accused from a customer for not giving $$ back (she never gave me any-anyway!-security cameras prove that)...I have no tv so have been missing Big Brother...and

Hey Dan, have you tried the new menu at French Market? I've heard that people actually like it, even though they were resistant to change. I'll be testing it next Thursday!!!

With kids we love Plaza Inn for fried chicken or pasta or salad...they have good kids meals. Pizza port is good for pizza and pasta. Club Buzz for burger's & fries. Corn Dog kart on Main Street if you like a good corn dog. They do not like anything in the New Orleans area, so we only go there without kids.

I think when I board the ship I will collapse in the main lobby and do a snow angel on the carpet.

When we were there last month, the Golden Horseshoe was a big hit and my DS liked the Hungry Bear. At DCA, we liked the Taste Pilots Grill.

Redd Rockett's Pizza Port is normally where I grab Lunch. Love the salads.

I also have done The Golden Horseshoe - gets you inside if you are sick of the heat. Only done this 1x in CA but many times in FL, assuming if I remember correctly that it is very similar food.

Drive by post. 8 days left and so much to do. Been going to bed early trying to kick this stupid thing. I am still a bit stuffed up - thinking I will give the Dr. a call today and see if they will give me something incase I am not 100% by next week or if it trys to come back while on vacation.
