Do you have an iPhone box - seems that was where I decided to put all of my gift cards that I bought for the kids club counselors . Took me 4 hours to figure out my super secret hiding spot.

i'm sure i'll be very embarrassed when we come home!! our housecleaner is oing an overhaul while we are gone!!! it's pretty bad right now, and i know it's gonna get worse when i finally get in packing mode!!

That is similar to what DH said. Since we will be gone there will not be much cleaning to be done. We have a house/animal sitter that will be staying at the house but she tends to be very clean and neat herself. I am hoping she uses the extra time to concentrate on something.

I don't think we will ever do that again!!! We changed banks almost 2 yrs ago.....We had all bills on autopay......we changed them......But, some of them decided NOT to change..... the bank started bouncing things (even a mortgage that was from them that we had already sent them the money!!!) that went on for MONTHS!!!!!! It was a horrible situation -- electric & gas were getting paid twice.....

It turns out that if you change banks you have to give them something like 3 or 4 months notice...in other words you have to have the money in both accounts to cover your bills for that length of time!!

We do pay all of our bills online but we will NEVER do autopay again!

That seems really odd to me. I can go in at any time and change or cancel any of the payments. I have most of them set up for 'amount changes each month' so that I have to physically go in every month and change the amount before it'll be paid.

The board has been sorta slow today, hasn't it? Nothing like yesterday, right? Or maybe it's just because DD is sleeping more today that I have time to keep up! Her fever is gone. I haven't had to give her motrin since 4am She still isn't 100% though.

It depends on the hotel. Wired hotel connections should be fine - just keep your firewall enabled.
Wireless hotel connections are riskier - I tend to avoid using sensitive information, especially given that most of the connections are unencrypted. Always keep your firewall enabled.

I don't think we have ever used a wireless connection at a hotel - DH usually turns off the wireless when we travel. I'm pretty sure that this trip on the ship will be the first time we've used wireless while traveling (although we are wireless at home all the time).

EVERYONE: heed the advice about "keep your firewall" enabled! Even on the ship, even if the connection seems slow - never, ever turn off the firewall!!!

For those bringing laptops - make certain to update your anitvirus software before we leave. We probably won't be wanting to do that on board with slow connections and should at least have the latest updates before we go.

I've been busy at work so haven't been able to do much cruise stuff there, but I DID get most of my magnets printed today.

I have names of two US Boy Scouts, One US Cub scout, and One UK Boy Scout. Of the US Boy Scouts one is a Second class scout and the other is a Life Scout.

I know the World Citizenship badge is an Eagle Requirement. So the two US Boy Scouts might want to work on that. I am not sure about UK badges and something for the Cub Scout.

Since there are only a few of them and they are at different points in their Scouting careers. Do any of you have a suggestion or something you want to work on? If so you can bring it to do.

I need to look throught the Cub Scouts Academics & Sports (beltloops and pins) book. I'm sure there are a few things they can do. Carp...add that to my list of things to do.

You can do online billpay without it being automatic. I have all mine set right now to pay on the day I want them to -I do it manually every month.

Thanks! I have already bought them some candy from See's and packaged it all up..I got some for both the Lab and the Quest since we aren't sure where DD is ending up. I still wanted to get them something as a thank you afterwards too...I will work on that.

I hope so... I am actually kinda bored with her sleeping all day. Though it isn't for a lack of things that I should be doing!

I tried to give her pedialite earlier, apple flavor. She made a really funny face (where's the camera when you need it?) and gave it back to me! I don't blame her that stuff really tastes nasty. Guess I should've watered it down or something. She has had about 8oz of water and I'm not sure how much is 'too much'. The nutritionist a while back said to give her 4-5oz per day...

DFW does have luggage carts. I see people with them there all the time.

I know what you mean about the bills...dh is already worried -- we won't get home untilt he night of the 4th...... In the past when we were gone this long we would have our bills mailed to us (picked up out of our mailbox and then mailed) so, that we could pay them whereever we are...... I don't think we can get mail on the ship! LOL!

Really. Maybe by the time we drive there (always getting bad traffic even if we purposely fly late to avoid rush hour traffic), get our car parked, take shuttle there, check our luggage in at curbside and rush thru security we've just never seen anyone with the carts! LOL

This depends on the airport. Always check the tag they put on to make sure it's the correct one. Then, I'll usually hang out in that area until I see the porters deliver my suitcase to security or the belt where the agents take the luggage (this usually only takes a few minutes). Once there, the odds are the same as regular checked luggage.

airport/luggage: that's good to know- we always see them immediately tag and throw them on the belt right then.....

hotel connection: ours is wired- had to buy the stupid ethernet cable for it. LOL I've used wifi before when we went camping and parked the trailer at a park that had free wifi- and never worried about anything like this.

I'm so glad to know I"m not the only one that puts things away in super secret hiding spots then totally forget where that super secret hiding spot is. LOL apparently my super secret hiding spots are SO good that I'm even hiding it from myself! LOL
