8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #13

Since most of you won't see our cabin door, we are way forward on Deck 5 so not a lot of foot traffic, I wanted to share two door magnets my friend made for us and for my DS birthday. She has never been on DCL and is going to WDW for the first time next week. I was showing her some of the threads and how creative people get and this is what she surprised me with:

What a wonderful thing for her to do! They look great!

Oh No! Have spent the last 4 days in the hospital with DH. Drs. say he had a TIA (mini stroke). No lasting difficulties that we know of, but still running lots of tests. Hope they okay us for the cruise. Everything is bought and DD10 is already packed. I have lots that won't get done. Might be the worst dressed but as long as we're on the cruise...

Don't worry if your clothes are the *right* ones! As long as everyone is healthy nothing else is important!

Went home last night and asked June if she had read the boards and she responded with -- you were on the DIS while I was slaving away getting ready for the cruise!

Oh no! Typical won't do. We're expecting something life-alteringly profound.

I have given up finishing the packing..it is overwhelming as thing don't fit where I need them to! I am taking a breather and will go back when I can think a little clearer.
I am just not feeling well today and should have just let it go for the day. Now Tori is not feeling well and we have to go to the Dr. tomorrow.

Just one of those weeks!

"I AM ALL PACKED" you can actually see the floor. I tried to get everything in two suitcases to no avail but I know I can ship a box home to VA when I am done in Syracuse with the clothes I will not be needing on the cruise. I am leaving tomorrow to start my journey to our TOAL for Syracuse, NY(surprising my Dad by comimg home a few days earlier!!)He thinks I am coming home Friday.

But its still warm here. But man we were soaked. LOL

In fact................ Kristina just called and was told the linking is not done yet!! My ressie is messed up now but who knows what??? Maybe it is the Palo brunch or I have now 128 people I am eating dinner with. We will all see soon!!!!!!!!!!!(I certainly hope!!)

I'm so agravated today! Our DVR went out so they sent us a new one... The new one is more defective than the old one!

Then the nurse called from the GI's office. When I last spoke with her, she said we'd be scheduled for the feeding clinic on Sept 5th. Now maybe we'll get in on Oct 3rd. We've been working on this for 7mo now. Apparently a committee decides who gets to go. I can't believe there are that many kids worse off than we are.

On the upside, all the tests that they ran are normal...

I hope everything is worked out soon!

I'm sorry I won't be here for the *sprint* but, I'm taking my kids to the water park. They are running an anniversary special *$5 after 5pm*. So, we are off!

3 days is tight, I usually stay in WDW for 14 nights, DLP was 5 nights in May.

1 day peak season you cannot fit it all in.

LOL, I know..I am just jealous!! We could have had 2 days at DL, but well, I decided visiting DS23 was more important..sigh..yes I know, my priorites are all outta wack

12 yrs ago I drove 3 1/2 hrs south to spend the weekend with 4 other women that I had met on an AOL SAHM board. None of us had met each other before.
We gave DS the money for him & a friend to drive to Ashville, NC to spend a week with firends he and dh had made online gaming.

Those are just some of the bigger trips we've made to met online friends!

I've gone to both Las Vegas and NYC for the weekend and WDW for a week with women I've met on the internet! NYC and WDW were DISrs! People think I'm crazy!

And here is the first offical post for the Magic Coming to LA on 1/6/07. This is from a that only had 120 or so posts at the time.

I have been following with great interest in anticipation of the 2008 itinerary announcement. Well I could not believe that some kind of news has not been discovered as to the 2008 itineraries. So being the internet person that I am, I went in search of an answer. After hours of searches I came across this which answers all of our questions. According to the linked permit from the Port of Los Angeles, DCL (otherwise known as Magical Cruise Company) has been granted a permit for conducting business out of the Port of Los Angeles from May 1, 2008 through September 15, 2008 for the purpose of family cruises to Mexico.
