Tan advice, please!
Do I try to tan my back or just leave myself 2-toned? Obviously I'm not real tan to begin with, but does it look weird? I'd have to use sunless stuff.

That's the kind of thing I never even think about...or notice.... I say..*You look fine!*

Just hope your day goes well. Getting our things done today with school stuff and more stuff for the cruise. Finish our post cards today. Feeling better this morning. I just hope I don't have a upset stomach like I did last night uggg.

DH has half day today so he is home this morning from work. It's going to be cooler today yah.

Question: just wondering maybe anyone that has DD6 around that age DS14 around that age that they can meet up on the ship and hang out?Thank you ~

I have a 7dd but, if your dd is calm she may find mine annoying! There are lots of kids both of those ages!!! Have your ds post on the kids meet thread here on the Dis. Lots of 14/15yrs going!

So it's underwear on HoJo's days, but not in Disneyland? I guess that will save a little space in the luggage!

I have a feeling by the end of next week, I'll be talking to myself here, as everybody will have already left and I'll be packing and cleaning right up to the last day! LOL

We'll be here up until the morning of the cruise! So, will Terri (Nutty4Disney) I'm sure there are others! LOL!

Ok Guys.. My DH packed this morning and we are all ready to go...

I could not believe it.. 9 more days to go....

Well, I'm getting rather excited as well as the rest of you.

This morning I took a box to UPS and shipped it to the Grand Californian at DL. It will arrive by the end of the day August 11th and I check in August 13th, so it should be waiting for me. The box is filled with some of my clothes as well as Mass supplies (chalice, ciboria, hosts.)

I emailed the pastor at St. Boniface (parish nearest DL) and he is going to supply the altar wine for us for the cruise. One of the office staff or a volunteer is going to deliver it to the Grand Californian after 3:00 p.m. on the 13th, so we will be set for supplies!

Now, all I have to do is try to wait for next Wednesday to arrive.

Although, today, my mind is definitely fixed on things here present. A storm from hell raged through the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana and there is lots of damage here . . . downed lines, et cetera.

Oh, my! Will keep all in our prayers!!!

i remember..the "pre~cruise" days....it's a lil' ....that
..some had things come up or changed their plans.

..& the beast, kill, kill, kill... ....i never realized 6hrs..could
be so long....i took 4/5 naps..waiting, waiting, waiting........then

..when ..i got thru ...all filled up. so then it became..."up'...to


..our dream's girl, . & this was the first time..i had anything to

do with our cruise/disney vacations, . oh, before hand...we
debated..what to request..with her, so as an after thought, we decided

gty..12. later she told....us..it was the craziest..she ever seen.

now the problem...we have reses..booked on board...that we can't
use., . meaning..we would have to cancel these....& rebooked,

.."right!~ ...we would lose $$$!. however, this isn't right..that we
have reses ..from 2004....sitting there..that should be grandfather in.

..yeppers'..my first..experience.....of disney's "hassle free" vacation's
packages.

yesterday...we're putting in the deer 's food plot. as soon as we parked,

..a baby deer was right in front of us. ...you could tell...he didn't

kno..what to think of us..so he went on eating the berries. then i lift my
son ''old derby car's" lid...and the baby black..snake...[from spring], isn't
a baby anymore..5 to 6 feet. ,

packin for this trip..is goping...be very interesting... , my lil

after reading...some of the "tricks"....the wenches..been doing..on their

..unsuspecting & better(halfs)?...i am not surprise. me thinks..of doing

..for the airport..inspection, oy!, she kept trying to get them..to chose

That must be part of the storm my DS18 called about last night from his drum corp adventure!! I just hung up with him a few minutes ago and he said he has never seen so much thunder & lightening in his life (although being born & raised in So. California...we don't "do" weather! lol)

We'll be here up until the morning of the cruise! So, will Terri (Nutty4Disney) I'm sure there are others! LOL!

Oh good! Sadly, Ill probably be talking to myself from going nutty by then anyway, but it will be nice to know there are others to chat with or answer a last minute question!

I will be there with you. We don't leave until Sunday morning. Scary I know. And we have 40 minutes to get from one plane to another. We get into LA at noon on Sunday. I hope the bus is ready and waiting for us.

I swear at some point someone posted a graphic - probably a door magnet.
It was Mickey head shaped with one castle in each ear and the itinerary map in the middle.

I thought I saved it, but I can't find it.

Did I dream this up or does it really exist?

I only found one that has the two castles with the Magic in the middle, but no map.

Favorite saying in our house before any Disney trip no matter how many times we go...."Are you asleep?"..."No, I'm too excited to sleep!" (From the commercial). Yeah...that is us!

We love that commercial too. We always quote it as it gets close to a trip. I don't know why they don't show it anymore. I like it way better that the one with the parents on the computer saying "we can do that". Just not as exciting.

We lucked into this cruise too. DH read about it online and I called my TA. We were in WDW on 1/31 so she booked it. We told her to just check on prices but she called us (we were getting ready to get on Dinosaur at AK) and said you have to book NOW. So we did. I joined the DIS in February and found this thread shortly there after. But I am sure it was much later when I finally posted.

Only 12 more days!!!

What time is everyone getting to the terminal? I think you can start checking in at 10:00, but what time can you actually get on the ship?

Well..I couldn't find my first post that crazy day but I did find the post from the pirate who the Roy Suite...I sent a PM to see if they are still on the cruise and if they would be nice enoguh to let us take a peek..we shall see what they say!

Yep. The weather map that showed lightning strikes was practically solid white. The number of lightning strikes per minute was just phenomenal. This type of storm rarely hits here, but last night was certainly bad.

When the storm first hit, I could hear a tree snapping in the backyard right outside my windows. Thankfully the top of the tree fell opposite the house.

The community right next door to us (Griffith, IN) was clocking wind gusts up to 88 mph. That town sustained the majority of damage.

However, where I live, there are still 63,000 without power. Earlier today we were without water as well. There were so many water line ruptures that the town turned the water off a while so that they could effect repairs.

Here at the parish, aside from tree limbs as well as a tree falling on the convent garage and another tree falling against another of our houses ripping out the power lines, we did not sustain too serious of damage.

The most nuisance damage was that one of the times our power flaked on and off it blew out the power supply to our voice mail system. So, our phones work, but we are stuck taking messages for anyone not immediately available because the computer that runs the voice mail is down for the count.

But, as I say, we are definitely a lot better off than most of the people in our area, so I'm not complaining.

I just got an email from my friend who is visiting China. Her daughter is in the one of the High School bands that will be performing in the Olympic opening ceremonies. They got to 'play' (perform) in Tiananmen Square the other day. She said that this is a great experience but can't wait to come home.

I think I'm going to make a thread on the pirate board, for all the kids that are having bday's while onboard. My DD turns 10 on 8/19 in Cabo and I'm thinking we can pay it forward with the bday decor for the door, for the next kid's bday!
