8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #13

Thank you to all who put together and contributed to the Pirate Navigator and the Deck Plans. It is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful to all of you that contributed your time and effort. What a wonderful cruise this is going to be.

NO!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure her smile still lights up the room though. Did she get her hair cut or they just fell out (hair softened or whatnot)?

Well......



She cut her own hair twice this school year. The first time was right after school pictures (thank goodness!). I told her teacher with her there and made sure she told Dina she was not allowed to use scissors in school until I said so. She was so distrought (eventhough they weren't even using scissors yet ) I figured that would finally be the last of it! (Remeber me telling you about when she was 2??)

Well it wasn't! She was really getting tired of the little hair sticking out on the sides when she put her own hair up for dance. Forget about her letting ME do it. She actually had a mullet!! She is not allowed to touch scissors unless she asks and has been doing very well with that. She even keeps asking me when she will be allowed to use them without asking first. I tell her when she is 12.

But really, I knew they were just baby curls as Amanda had more than her!!

well personally if it means I'm not up at 4am drying stuff in the dryer then ya'll see our "granny pants" flappin' in the wind

I'll do whatever it takes to 1) take less clothes 2) have less suitcases and MOST IMPORTANTLY 3) NOT to do laundry on the ship....(hey..that's not vacation...that's daily life right?????? )

ETA: I just hung up and the rep I spoke with said the new Contemporary Tux Package will be available.

I've been meaning to ask, with that logo of a martini glass on your posts (or a thong depending on how ya look at it are you doing the martini tasting? I do believe I "owe ya one" at some point

They brought it because you are NOT allowed to hang things up to dry on your veranda.... actually I think they strongly request that you not.

Not to say that some of us won't be doing that .... on a much smaller scale and probably swim suits......

HEY...I'm just happy someone noticed I was missing!!! That ALONE is worth a drink I know he answered for me but he was right.....I keep telling the kids when they ask why they can't use my computer to play games that "if mommy doesn't finish her homework then she can't go on vacation!". I just have waaaayyyy toooo much to do in order to leave without feeling that I didn't finish up all could beforehand. I know; it stinks...but it makes a few weeks away so much more refreashing! GIVE ME A "you go girl" if ya know what I mean!!!!!"

I keep hoping that if ya work your butt off before you leave that you leave all that crap behind while you are gone! OR...as a good pirate would say....(or wench as it may be)........as long as there is rum then things are good!

Yes, and yes. I'm told that on PC Day they look the other way on the banners hanging from the balcony and it may attract photogs in your general direction

It would have been a great trip no matter what...NOW after meeting all of you it is going to be an amazing adventure!

Awww, Chrissie, right back atcha . We are just gonna miss you at HoJo's but will be "down the road a spell" for the week and hope we can hook up sometime.

This year has been one harrowing year for our family healthwise. My Dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last year around Labor Day. Fortunately we were able to get him to MASS General in Boston and the Doctors and Nurses took the best care of him. He went thru chemo and radiation and as of today we can say that if anything is there it is dormant! THE POWER OF PRAYER!!!!! He had the best Private Duty Nurse my Sister Doreen(reenieny)She is a wonderful caring nurse. He is out playing golf with his grandsons. We never thought we would be seeing this.

Such a scary cancer.....I am glad to hear he is doing well

For those staying on for the 5 day - are we allowed to stay on the ship or will they make us disembark.

On my back 2 back cruise last year. We had to get off. But we were allowed to right at the end of disembarkation and then we were allowed to check in and get back on the ship before any one else was allowed in the terminal. We were only off the ship about 1-2 hours.

Not sure if the policy is still the same.

Patch Swappers

Someone gave me the suggestion of including a little fact sheet with each patch. Some suggestions include information about the swapper, such as name, age and where you are from. Plus some information about why you chose your patch or some information about your state, or the area you live in.

This adds an educational aspect to the patch swap. This is not required but just a suggestion. I know we are all crazy busy preparing for our trips.

Carry on with your normal trip planning.

Can you recommend a good restaurant in PV?? DH loves Mexican food, and well..youcan't get the good stuff in Jersey..

BTW our NY chow mein is the veggie mix served over rice and crispy noodles.

My neighbor recommended a place called Victors in PV. The food is from the Vera Cruz region (whatever that means) - he recommended the Red Snapper. Victors is also located on the malecon in the Marina area. If we are able to reschedule our Palo dinner, we will probably have dinner here after our massages.

But....when trying to print the full navigator today my computer froze and only printed half. I had to shut down and go back in. Didn't have time for that this morning and now when I try to access it, I get a message saying "The file is damaged and cannot be repaired"

Welcome!!! My DS will be 13 on August 14 & our DD is 9, I think there are a lot of kids around this age range!

Quick question............My kids want to take their pins and lanyards on our trip. Can they wear one lanyard and put the pins in their carryons? OR do I have to pack all those pins and lanyards - they are heavy! Wasn't sure about putting the pins in their carryons with all the restrictions they have now plus going through security Any help would be appreciated.

We've traveled while wearing our pins. Just have to put them in the bin when going through security.
