Yeah!

First day of school is out of the way and she can stop stressing!

My goal today is to print out all of my confirmations for our rental cars and hotels for the trip back. As well as the navigator and spreadsheeps! Final trip to the store for DL Tix for some fellow pirates!

We have tix to an Angels game tonight so won't be in chat tonight.

All I would like to say is:

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for the Navigator.

Karen

I just received and email from my TA who said that just today there has been a change in the rule about rebooking a cruise while onboard then changing the dates. He will send me something later after he gets additional information. I'll let you know what he says.:confused3

That's strange. I have no email from Disney, and I don't see anything new on their website! I am a TA too...and I haven't heard anything yet :confused3 .

How are you planning on making the "refreshments" run?

Not completely sure what we are going to do. Probably leave the men behind to make our Palo ressies..:scared1: Now that I think about it - that may not be a good idea.

We were thinking about catching a cab into town but I'm not sure how this will work out.

Ok, I am now all caught up!! Wow..I am glad you guys weren't to to busy this weekend!! LOL.

Thanks so much for the hardwork on those navigators and maps!! They look amazing!!

I just got around to printing out the pirate navigator and mini-navigator and I am blown away! What a wonderful job!

:worship: :worship: Thanks to all of you! :worship: :worship:

To all that worked on getting the Pirate Navigator together. I have it printed out and saved the file on my computer just in case. The pocket Navigator is a great idea.

This is really happening isn't it? I was convinced a year and a half ago that August 17 would never get here. And last time we checked our flights it looks like they may be leaving out of the same terminal, so it might all work out after all. :woohoo:

Now to figure out what to pack to eat onboard. We will be leaving the house at 6:30 AM and don't get to LA until noon (with a 3 hours time difference). So looks like we will be eating luch at dinnertime and dinner at bedtime.

LOVE The Pirate Navigator!!! :thumbsup2
Just increases the excitement.

I just printed out the Navigators and they are totally awesome dudes! :cool1: Thanks for all you hard work! :worship:

I wanted to say to everyone - Have a safe trip
The next 12 days are going to be insane around here with work and trying to get packed.

I probably won't be here much but wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for putting together all these fun things to do on the ship - for making me feel welcomed and part of the crew even though some of you have known each other longer then this thread has been around. Even though I haven't posted a huge amount I have read and read and :rotfl: alot at the comments and comebacks to some posts. Whenever I have had an off day I could always come here and get a laugh to help lift my mood

Can I just say :worship: :worship: :worship: to all that put together the navigators and the deck plans. Simply amazing - I look at this and never in a milliion years could I have made them look so nice. There is not even an ounce of creativity in my bones :upsidedow

I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible

The information is brand new from today so the cm's are just getting briefed on it and learning about it themselves. Joiseymom, Disney has not sent out an email of any kind yet

What I have found out this morning is the following - still trying to get more information but they asked that I call back tomorrow or the next day as they will have all the details sorted by then

Currently the change has to do with cruises being moved to a future date AFTER they are paid in full and are within 74 days of travel. The old rule was that you could change your cruise to a future date, even if in penalty stage, and the only thing you were charged was the change fee and the difference in cost of the the cruise between the current and future date. Without paying any cancellation fees

Starting August 31st, any sailing that is in penalty phase, within 74 days of sailing, can no longer be changed to a future cruise date. It would be considered a cancellation incuring whatever cancellation fees are applicable depending on how many days from sailing you are. The new date would be considered a new booking.

Now I don't know how this will effect OBC's that people get from rebooking onboard but I would think that if the new date is considered a new booking with a new reservation number then you would lose the OBC. If they keep the same reservation number then you will keep the OBC. I don't know if this is possible or how they are going to handle this. Information is still coming in.

I am told that any cruise that isn't in penalty stage, outside of 75 days of sailing, can still be moved to a future date

As I said above this is all new, as of this morning, so information is still coming in.
I am sure Tracy, winotracy, will chime in with information as she receives it and can verify details

EDITED TO ADD: Penalty phase for suites is within 89 days of sailing - forgot to include that above

We had beautiful weather yesterday to have a cookout for Zack's birthday (which is on Weds). We had friends and family, and even a few pirates! Lisa (radioclash2) and her boys Nick & Alex stopped over to help celebrate with us. We had a great time, and the kids, who met before at the Franklin Institute Philly meet, got along great.

I can also vouch for the fact that Lisa's carcass will make a great chair saver. And as an added bonus, if you position her hand properly before the rigor mortis sets in, she'll make a great drink holder as well!

I had to run to Home Depot, so I can wrestle with the toliet again this afternoon. Since I was running past our bank, I took the kids and all of their change to cash in. They had over $300 in change! So they'll have some money for souvenirs and the arcade! I also picked up some zip ties, so more more thing off the list. We leave for DL next Tuesday, so we're into single digits!:scared1: So much time, so little to do. Scratch that. Reverse it.

Good luck to all of us for getting everything done!!
