To all of you with iPhones. The pocket navigator displays just great on the iPhone. The full navigator is too much for the phone - mine rebooted while trying to get to page 4 lol.

Andy

OK, just bring up in Mail? I have had my IPhone for almost a year and know nothing about it. You don't happen to have the instructions handy on doing the DCL ringtone you posted earlier do you?

I've been meaning to ask, with that logo of a martini glass on your posts (or a thong depending on how ya look at it ;) are you doing the martini tasting? I do believe I "owe ya one" at some point:goodvibes

Hey, I was wondering where the heck you were just yesterday and then I saw your DH post that you've been busy with school.

Believe it or not, I'm not doing the martini tasting with the group but the wine. We'll have to get together on our own for some "adult" time and enjoy a nice one (or two;) ) together:thumbsup2.

Downloaded and printed the Pirate Navigators tonight. One word -- :cake:! For me, the word :cake: represents the spirit of this thread! I recall the multitude of posts on the virtue of :cake:!

Back to the Navigators! Everyone involved did a truly remarkable job.

:thanks: Thank you to everyone involved in making this possible!:thanks:

Although quite redundant, it's very sincere!

I talked to Beau...my DS18 who is on tour with his drum corp right now. They left a week ago and drive all night and have stops for 10 hour dayrehearsals in Utah, Colorado, Iowa, multiple locations in Wisconsin and will arrive in Indiana later tonight I think. They will stay there, as the world finals are held there this year. He has texted or called everyday to let us know how things are going and has had some funny stories (from a california boy). In Iowa they were in awe that the entire city came out to watch them rehearse all day, brought them drinks and corn to eat, cheered them on etc. He remarked about all the open land and no fences between houses (poor city raised boy..lol), and they had a night time drum sectional before boarding the busses and they were all in awe over the fire flys! Isn't it funny how little things like that can impress a bunch of young adults from the city. Its such a great experience!

That's awesome! I hope he had a great time in Colorado. He hit us during one of our hottest & dryest spells in years according to the TV meteorologists. He definitely saw wide open spaces in Ft. Morgan! Where in Iowa did they stop? I have lots of friends from there.

Hi - We are joining this link very late! We are once again going on the EB repo. I never imagined that we would have this chance for another!
We are myself, DH and two sons ages 13 and 14.
We are taking a private tour with Mr. Emerald (just like a lot of the pirates I found out) in Cartagena. Since there are only 4 of us, Lee suggested that I post here to see if another family or group would like to join us. The price for the 4 of us is around $53 a person but if we got more people that would go down. We will be going with a narrative guide to the fortress, gold, church, and a shopping stop. The highlights of the island. Time about 4 hours. Mr. Emerald has a great reputation here and on cruise critic.
So - if any Dis'ers are looking for a more private tour with a reputable operator that will pick us up right at the dock, please PM me.
Looking forward to the chance to meet some of you - wow - you sound like a fun bunch!

:welcome: I'm still amazed at how many people are doing the repo cruise for the second time! I hope it's as incredible this time as it was for you last time.

We have three sons joining us -- ages 13, 10 and 6. What other excursions are you doing? We've decided to do the Disney tour at Cartagena, but yours does sound intriguing.

ok folks. My son just got home.. so I have to go and talk to him about his day.. If anyone can tell me of any movies.. Thanks in advance..

Happy packing..

From the main cruise board FAQ thread...

What movies will be playing on our voyage? You can call 888-325-2500, choose the reservations option, then ask what movies will be showing the week you cruise.

MOVIES

When I called on Friday, August 1st, they told me they were playing the following movies

Ratatouille, Swing Vote, PoC at world's end, College Road Trip, Enchanted, National Treasure 2, South of the Border, Narnia Prince Caspian. I think there was another but can't think of it off the top of my head

Tonight the doorbell rings after dinner and it's our local state representative going door to door asking for votes.

After she tells me a little about herself, she asks if we have any issues of concern to us. I speak up about how horrible educational funding is in Colorado and mention our disappointment with the student to teacher ratios in our local schools. And we supposedly live in the "good" district.

Well, June overhears me and comes to the door and let's her know all about our feelings about the funding for education in CO. Poor lady...it looked like she had a lot of flyers to hand out and she probably had no idea how long she'd be stuck on our doorstep!:lmao: I guess she shouldn't ask if she didn't want to know!

Pipi's is good food and a great fun environment. They mix guacamole right at your table and will make it as mild or hot as you want. There's a strolling mariachi band and sometimes other live music. This is a great overal fun time. http://www.pipis.com.mx/

Another fun time is at Burros Bar. How can you go wrong with a bucket of bear or a giant margarita. The food is decent and the drinks are outstanding. http://www.mexonline.com/burros.htm

The best food though, although not as fun of a meal is El Andariego. Enchiladas Rancheras....YUM!!! http://www.mexonline.com/burros.htm

Hmmmm Bears and margaritas...

Don't forget your crockpot!!! :lmao:

I'm sure the other movie had to be Wall-E.

So they're still saying that they're going to show South of the Border (aka Beverly Hills Chihuahua). I thought it wasn't premiering until October but it'd make me happy to let me kids watch it.....ALONE!

There you go Wall E is it

You know I asked about that, South of the Border, but they said it was on the list

Here are a couple pictures of the Birthday "girl". Her actual 100th was today.

i remember watching his other video when the ship was leaving to come home to fla. it gave me goosebumps!!! i can't believe that is gonna be us in a few weeks! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z_BAdkyqJs)

OK the tears started. I remember sitting at the computer all day in May and then again in August 2005 taking all the screen shots that I could possibly get. I emailed that guy the file with lots of others and he put together a couple of great videos. :) I can't believe that we are going to be on the ship this time!!! I remember when everyone on our last cruise started talking about switching our 12/07 cruise to one of the repos. I said no, we wouldn't be doing them. DH would never go with the price of them. I think it was a week before 1/31 when I just came out and asked DH telling him that I didn't want to make the decisioon for him and wanted to just hear it from him so that he couldn't tell me later on that he wished we were on the cruise this time. I was shocked that he said yes. I can't believe that we are going to be trying to go to sleep in one week ready to leave here at 5 am to drive to Raleigh to catch our flight to CA.

I soooo knew that was coming.

Not a lot has changed in 17 months.
:)

Has anyone seen a groundhog recently??

:lmao: I didn't remember anyone here knowing about that...it was a DIS geek thing and I knew that K and Todd would never let it go without making sure I had seen it. I was talking about that beer marinated roast recipe someone had shared. LOL!
