I've lost all my multi-quotes as my computer keeps shutting down, but:

Congratulations on the amazing cancer recovery! Prayers and good care do work miracles!

I'm glad the NY mini-meet was fun! I tried to attend, but things did not go well for me yesterday! I sent a PM to someone to get more info.

A BIG THANK YOU!!!!! to all who worked so hard on the pirate navigators! They are not only informative, but beautiful! I have printed out and saved to my flashdrive.

Oh God, please don't let DCL do anything else in a hassle-free manner!

Tina,

Here's a link to the full-size version I have. This is the first time we're using them, so I hope they're the right size. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mike ! They are the right size the way they are on the computer........I just tried printing it and it came out small again. I don't know how to print it the size they are showing? Make any sense.....:confused3 I am using so much ink and would like to be able to do this. TIA

Hi, Gang

Wow, you've talked a bit since I left on Friday - I stopped at page 34 and here you are on 102. I have a bit "ketchup" to do later:goodvibes . I have docs! My sister brought them over to the reunion with her. Desiree - the postcard arrived - the kids loved it - a little bit of magic goes a long way - thanks so much. DS13 - said it was cool - high praise from him.

Had a great time at the family reunion and now on to full tilt preparation for the TOAL - we're down to single digits. WOOHOOO!!

So, don't talk to much while I'm off "ketchup"ing.

Thank-you.jpg

The navigator ROCKs!

Yeah!

First day of school is out of the way and she can stop stressing!

My goal today is to print out all of my confirmations for our rental cars and hotels for the trip back. As well as the navigator and spreadsheeps! Final trip to the store for DL Tix for some fellow pirates!

We have tix to an Angels game tonight so won't be in chat tonight.
Yay for the first day out of the way!
GO ANGELS!! Woohoo! (my mom wanted the angels bucket hat that they are giving out tonight, so bad...I thought about getting tickets and then remembered...I work tonight! Darn that work thing gets in the way of so much fun sometimes!
Have fun!!

Having debated (with myself) if I should bring my trade pins on this cruise or not, I put my bag of trading pins on the scale. (9.6 lbs ) :scared1:
I'll also keep them in my carry on to avoid loss and to keep my luggage under the 50lb limit. Really looking forward to trading some pins with some of my fellow DISers :cool2:

For any pin traders...there is a pin trading post on the pirate board! Post what themed or charactor pins you and your kids like to collect. Its always fun to take a few pins that you know others may want to trade with!

I finished my shopping!! :woohoo:

All I have left is the postcards which should have arrived and haven't so they are re-printing and shipping priority (stress - :scared1: ) and a mailing tube for the litho.

I have mailed off the last of the DL Tix for fellow pirates and stopped at See's candies for some boxes of candy for the Kid's Counselors as a pre-thank you!

Final suitcase will be packed tomorrow and I am ready to go!

Found this on MSN... I'm telling you...charges for the potty..won't be far behind!

I thought I booked far ahead, but 2099???:rotfl2:

But I do agree they do not want empty ships in December with everyone moving them to Summer 2010 for the special trips.

Yeah, that's for the new mega-aircraft carrier sized ships that have an entire Magic Kingdom sized them park on-board. :rolleyes1

If the child was older I would be a little more forgiving...and there were only 5 children..... Even though my children are spaced apart in age when our older 2 were young I kept my sister's children total kids - 7, 3, 2, 1 and then a little later when they were....9, 5, 4, 3 & newborn. So, I know what is is like to go many places with young children. :)
A 3yr old would have been *assigned* to someone -- in our house DH keeps up with all young children in busy, public places. :thumbsup2

Very true - the consequences of losing a teenager are less than a younger child.

However, the parents are going to experience the consequences of their forgetfulness. Not only possible legal action when they get home, but worldwide embarrassment and humliation wherever they go....

HOW can he say no to that cute little pixie?!?!?!? DD has been teasing DS that his girlfriend will be on the ship. LOL! He doesn't mind. It doesn't seem like 2 years ago!

Oh, but those curls are ALL GONE!!!:sad1:

Thanks Mike ! They are the right size the way they are on the computer........I just tried printing it and it came out small again. I don't know how to print it the size they are showing? Make any sense.....:confused3 I am using so much ink and would like to be able to do this. TIA

Once you click on the link to bring them up on the screen, go into File and do a print preview. The way it is on my computer, it would be printing in portrait mode. If I switch it to landscape mode, it looks like it should be printing them about as big as possible. I didn't try to print them though, because of the ink issue, but it looks like they are as big as the one that I did print a week or two ago.

So - upon tallying the refund, cabin credit, discount on a future sailing, transfers, Polynesian sleeping room, and WDW admissions... we sort of felt the 4 nite cruise in a verandah was MORE THAN FREE. Sort of interesting... and we were mildly reaffirmed as Disney Cruise enthusiasts. It was remarkable to us how they managed us as we drew nearer to Orlando. On one hand they might have told us more about the defferred sailing ... which meant we COULD have simply waited and flown directly into Orlando on Tuesday.. if we had known. But that was not the story at the time we took off on Sunday.

In final retrospect... having read about how other cruise lines treat thier customers who suffer "H" related voyage disruptions/reductions... or how other cruise lines handle ANY non-"H" problems resulting in problems for thier passengers... I can only say I now know that no one else comes close to what DISNEY did for us. And I don't tink we would ever have pushed to meet a ship the way we did for Disney. We are BOTH seemingly committed strongly to one another IMO.

As a side remark... we've almost ALWAYS sailed during "H" season - for the reduced rates - and because it fits our schedules comfoprtably. And this was the only time in about a dozen sailings where our cruise was influenced / disturbed by an "H". That's OK with us... as we'll choose a sailing in "H" season any year - more or less. And we're likely to do it again if we had our sailoing threatened again in a simlar way. We'd just make a couple of minior adjustments to how we handle getting into position for the proposed embarkation!

So - I hope you don't get wacked too much by bad weather. it cannot be any "fun".... and I do believe I have some appreciation for what bad weather can bring about ... first hand.

you long story shorter.. I was on that cruise that was before your cruise in Aug 06. We went to Galvaston Texas for safety and if we did not have Capt Tom or MSN telling us about Hurricane Frances and Gaston, we would never know we were in a HURRICAINE. Disney kept us so safe as well as informed of all the situation of the storms. Sadly, we never were able to go to KEY WEST due to EDWARD the week before. Yes, our cruise was lengthened by 3 days.. All the crew, food and activities were as if it were planned..

When we got to FORT LAUDERDALE on WEDNESDAY.. the DCL buses were waiting for us to take us to what was left of PORT CANAVERAL---- well the airport(MCO). We had friends that were suppose to pick us up at the port,, they were evacuated so DISNEY arranged for a town car to take us to SANFORD Airport..

This will be my 5th cruise in August.. and I wouldnt change it for fear of a hurricaine..!!

You are NOT allowed to dry your shirts on the verandah!

Because if you did, where would you dry your underwear?:lmao:
Nothing says "classy" like grannie panties flappin' in the sea breeze!

undies.jpg

Ok, they brought something to hang the stuff up right? Or have I never noticed one of those lines on the verandah???

Could someone help out a fellow Diser? When I wen't on our cruise in 06 a lovely woman made us a set of mickey ears for our cabin door. I have turned my house upside down and can't find them anywhere.:sad2: When I did a search.............I found them but when I wen't to print them they were small. Can anyone help me with this? I sure do appreciate it.:)

:confused3 Does anyone know what movies will be showing during our cruise??

Interested to see what we should see know or wait for the cruise..

Thanks for any info..

I was on YouTube and thought I would look up some DCL stuff....and I ran across this video. Goofyguy777 sailed with Cheryl & I on the 10nt. He and his family are very nice!

Timing couldn't be more perfect.....

I was watching this link and guess who knocked at my door right in the middle of the video?

That cute DHL man with my Cruise DOCS :cool1: :cool1:

Finally!!

OK so did anyone else count their magnets or am I just nuts? Do they have a +/- 5% rule? We're short 6 magnets on our order... Should I argue this with them?

Wow I thought you'd close out the thread this weekend while I was gone. I'm terribly disappointed! We visited my parents and various other family members for the weekend for my niece's 2nd birthday. My niece likes to explain stuff to my DD (19mo). DD was having fun playing in the mud.

If you look closely, you'll see dirt in her teeth...Ugh! She won't eat food but she'll eat dirt.

I also found some sand toys that will fit in the suitcase for $1 on clearance at Walmart! :thumbsup2
