We had a fun BBQ today with our entire group of family & friends cruisers (16 in total). We discussed the 2005 cruise as well as nailed down some other plans. Our friends, disfrog & DH made everybody beautiful fish extenders on her cool sewing machine which was really neat! The kids practiced with their snorkel gear while in the pool and we ate way too much fun food (more practicing for the cruise meals!)

It was a fun day, and we broke out in a horn blowing contest at 5pm to commemorate sailing away in 2 weeks, with Dr. Pepper bottles and snorkels....lets just say it was an interesting variation of "when you wish upon a star"....LOL

That sounds like a fantastic afternoon!!!

The girls are beautiful. I think my girls will enjoy meeting yours...not many their age on this trip. My girls are 18 and 21. They will definitely be looking for "friends". We will have to get them together!!!!! BTW, mine are both short!!!!! LOL.

17dd is right under 5'9". SHe takes after her daddy -- he's over 6'. I'm right under 5'6" but, now that I'm older I'm probably barely 5'5"!

24dd won't be on this trip - she turns 25 in a couple of weeks. She is staying home with her dh -- she would rather go on the cruise! She's a Disney freak and found out that she DCL when we took her in 2006! Her and her dh are meeting us in WDW when we get to Orlando.

On the cruise in 2006 she and her older brother hung out with alot of the crew members. Mostly Entertainment staff but, also kid's club counslors, etc.. They had a fantastic time!!!

It is going to be so much fun meeting you!

Working like crazy to get caught up before TOAL. Last week she was working at her dissertation to submit it to her professor. This week she's hoping to finish a web design contract she has with some college in Texas. In between, trying to pick up things for the trip. She appreciates you inquiring

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I haven't been on in quite a while but I have been checking the posts off and on daily.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone. This sounds like a great group and even though I don't write as much as others I consider us friends.

My adventure starts out this Wednesday August 6th by flying home to Syracuse, NY for my family reunion this weekend, then Tuesday is my mom's birthday which will be the first time in 8 years that I have been home for this.
Also my nephew Russell (23)(he went to DisneyWorld for the first time during Easter break and invited me along. I can't even count how many times I have been there. We had such a great time and I hope we can do it again next year.) will be moving to Albany, NY to start his new job on Monday the 11th. My sister Lainie1222(some of you may know her from our 2006 trip) We are all so proud of him.

This year has been one harrowing year for our family healthwise. My Dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last year around Labor Day. Fortunately we were able to get him to MASS General in Boston and the Doctors and Nurses took the best care of him. He went thru chemo and radiation and as of today we can say that if anything is there it is dormant! THE POWER OF PRAYER!!!!! He had the best Private Duty Nurse my Sister Doreen(reenieny)She is a wonderful caring nurse. He is out playing golf with his grandsons. We never thought we would be seeing this.

On August 13th Doreen, Marty, Daniel, Jaclyn(Doreen's daughter,she is unable to go on the cruise due to work) will be flying west to CA. We have never been to DL or CA or California so this is definitely an TOAL!!!!!

Hope to see you all at DL and of course on the MAGIC!!!!!!

When I read that earlier I was so horrified! We keep our children so close to us when we are out in a public place.......In fact I can pretty much count on the fact that anyone under 7 is being held in some way by dh or myself! If they are light enough they are bing carried! At the very least we are holding thier hand!!!!

I have to find a faster way to dry my shirts.. I have not put them in the dryer at home and would like to keep it that way. Did anyone have a problem withthem flying off the balcony??

Can you believe two weeks from today we will be on the MAGIC? Remember that early morning in January and the 75,90 and 105 days out???

I matched up a bunch of outfits today and got almost everything into 1 suitcase. I'll go back through and weed it out again in a day or two. Bringing 2 pairs of slacks(1 black,1 white) and a pair of jeans, tops to mix and match all 3. 3 dresses(not including formal and semi formal). 4 or 5 pairs of shorts,2 prs. dress shoes,1 pr dressy sandals,1 pr flip flops and 1 pair tenny runners.

Wow you are so organized! I have all our theme night shirts layed out, and things we won't use until the cruise, but that's about it....lol

now i have time to relax

Wow...........I just brought 17 capri pants, tops to match each one and 3 formals...plus one Mickey Mouse Sweatsuit outfit for the cold night forn California. I brought 4 pair of shoes........John said I could not bring anymore. I tend to over pack but last cruise I wore everyhting except one outfit.

We have split our clothes in two large ones just incase one gets detoured. One carryon suitcase has my formals and John's tux. One smaller carryon has overnight clothes for California. One large bag has FE and Pirate Costumes and another bag has just in case we need stuff.LOL As you get older you bring the entire medacine chest.

Aren't you glad it is over and done with!!!

Just asked if you could confirm you did want me to bring the dress for claire on the cruise- if y'all are wearing that.. or just get it some other time we see each other. I guess you didn't get that email. That's why I asked because two other people never responded to emails and when I asked them they said they didn't get it. odd...... awhile back my emails were sending blank- even though OBVIOUSLY my emails are never anywhere near blank gmail doesn't like me or sumtin'?

Although the shopping part is mostly socks and undies and exchanging some of Rita's shoes I bought the other day because stinker's feet grew under the radar (ie: I didn't realize it! She always has shoes sizes bigger and apparently I wasn't as on top of what size shoe she had moved up to recently LOL). Socks and undies they just need, plus usually stock up on those before school anyway so might as well stock up on them now. LOL

Thank you so much for doing this. I just saw my DH (RussN) on there. I really appreciate that you did this. Also, finally catching up on the dis boards. Over the weekend been busy and got our dresses tailored and ready by next Saturday. Yah. just need to get FE and SM stuff. Which I am stressing about extremley cause I don't have much in order Yikers...

Trying to get all the laundry done and yes finally DH says get the suitcases out "YES"..its getting closer and I am so stressed and nervous now...in a good way.

I was just reading a post about the temperature in staterooms. Honestly, I don't remember, but how much can you control the temperature? We don't have a verandah, so, opening the doors is not an option

We have cruised on both The Wonder and Magic. Both times we felt the room was a bit warm, for us. We called up and they adujusted the thermostat so that our room was cooler. I think they have something on the thermostat like to do at WDW hotels, that if you are in the room it will be cooler then if you aren't. Well we want to come back to a cool room. Once they adjust it, it is has been fine.

Good Morning, I hope that everyone is doing well. Just trying to catch up on the dis boards and I finally made it. I just have real quick question DH was asking me last night do they supply shampoo? I thought that they did but not sure. I know that they did lotion and all.
I hope that all have a great day, My day is cleaning and getting FE, SM
and possible dress shoes for DD6 if she will let me get dress shoes for her ugg. I am pulling my hair out with that cause she is so picky. LOL
she would want tennis shoes with the formal...LOL

Anyways she is off to school, DS14 is still asleep and I am just chatting on here trying to catch up to everyone. I am so excited only 1 week and 4 days for all of us really. I just can't wait. See you soon.

Whichever you want to do. We don't usually wear our *matching stuff* just to match. I will be wearing my dress but, heaven only knows what day! LOL! I have never coordinated our clothes for dinner..... I don't think my dh & kids would go for that.
I'm fairly certain Samantha (17) doesn't want to match any of us! Elvis would match me though.... Little boys are much nicer to their moms then girls are....
