To each of you...thank you for the laughs, good thoughts, and great times as well as all of those still to come!
I feel very blessed to be part of this group and am looking forward to our TOAL. 2 weeks to go!

Woohoo! Thats great!
Thanks Desiree for sharing and I hope everybody has a great day!

What a story, that is so great for Shawn! Prayers to him, the donors family and everybody involved!

oh and your photo's of Alaska are amazing! I can't imagine having that view outside my front door!

There's a group of 70+ Pirates that are planning on doing the same thing!

Would love to join the group once we finalize our plans. If we can get on the Beach and Buggy excursion in Cabo, we will probably move the dolphin swim to Acapulco.

DH, DS (12) and I will be joining you on the cruise. Just canceled our excursion to Sea Life Park in Puerto Vallarta resulting in changes to plans in Cabo and Acapulco as well.
:welcome:

I see you were on the 2005 EB Repo, we were too! And we have a DS12. If you don't get your Dolphin swim in Cabo changed we are on the 2:30 as well.

Just a drive by posting. For those of you needing everday drugs, Walmart is having a $4.00 sale on a bunch of stuff. Their brand of Tylenol, claritin, bendryl, ibuprofen, Back to :surfweb:

Yikes!!!, I've lost my home office to a hoard of invading postcards :scared1:

Yesterday we went and bought 72 postcards for the Kids meet-n-greet. Last night I experimented printing DD's message on the back, both with the laser printer and the HP inkjet. Trouble is, the paper is shiny. The laser doesn't really work, and the inkjet takes forever to dry.

My home office is now home to 72 drying postcards - every horizontal surface is spoken for :rotfl:

Things we do for our kids.

Andy

LOL!!! :rotfl2:

Help help help!! 1) DD9 starts limping really badly.

Sorry to hear that.... One thing to note is that her "boot" will probably get you preferential boarding for flights though...

My DD had one on our last trip to DW for a stress fracture.

2) DS12 comes back from Scout Camp. Had a blast. Gotten bitten by a deer tick.

Are they sure it was a deer tick....? Deer ticks are like microscopic and you can't really see them. You do see the large red spot if there's a bite though. If it was a large enough tick to see and pull out it probably was a regular brown spotted tick. No lyme in those i think...

I used to have to do field work outdoors in the woods. OMG:scared1: :scared1: i was on a couple sites where my co-worker and i stripped before we got back in the cars and we still were finding ticks three days later.
Wetland areas were the worst.

I want to thank everyone for the very warm welcome !!!

What are you going to do that morning? We plan to go to Medano beach by land taxi (so I don't have to exit into the water) and get glass bottom boat tour of Los Arcos and maybe check out Lovers Beach. We have never been to Cabo as you know we skipped that port last time so I really want to see some of the sights which is why I prefer an earlier excursion.

Travel Question:

Are peanut butter and jelly sandwiches classified as a liquid, gel or cream?

We've been taking peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on our plane trips ever since they stopped giving us meals. Never had a problem. We plan to take them on this trip also. It's our last home cooked meal of the trip.

Welcome aboard! We have a DS11, who will be in the same age group as your son. There are a lot of them! See you on the ship!

We've packed deli sandwiches, instant noodles type things (usinghot water from the plane)... and best of all .... we bring on take out food from various restuarants when we fly any distance during traditional meal times. The best being a large whole lobster we brought on once. We found this great restuarant deal and the timing was OK to get a freshly made lobster in this 12x18" tin container brought on board! It was delicious if not a bit rediculous at the same time! A couple of flight attendants paused to gawk and smile approval... before politely departing to allow us some privacy to enjoy our meal.

And NO.... it was not this large a "Main" lobster ...
...but this was the best image I had on hand!
It weighed only 5.4 pounds and was CHEAP N' YUMMY!!

For simplicity on our next flight I'm thinking of bringing on a little Bucca...

perhaps a Frutta-de-mare?

Sooooo, for everyone who isn't packed, are you going to pack this weekend? I am planning to be packed (mostly) by tomorrow night!!!! We leave the 12th so I need to be ready!

Can't wait to meet you all.
We won't really be packing the DD's till the 16th. They don't come home from camp until the 15th! DH and I will be packing during the week before. We have never really been advance packers!

2 weeks today, we'll be on the puddle jumper from San Jose to LAX :cool1:

Andy
2 weeks from now, we will have gotten off our puddle jumper from Seattle-LAX. (yes, we are flying on a 30something passenger plane!) Should be on the DCL shuttle now!

YES! Haven't found Mexican food I like outside of CA either, except in Mexico of course.

I just don't even bother with Mexican or Chinese when I travel any more.

Not sure if what I have in CA is more authentic or not, but that's what I'm used to and that's what I prefer. However when I spent a week in Puerto Vallarta, the food was the same as what we've got here. So I guess many of our local immigrants are from the PV region??
We've had a real hard time finding GOOD Mexican food here in Seattle! Couple decent places, but nothing excellent.

I know you like Stitch bad had to do a traditional Mickey cake too!!

Happy 39th Anniversary Richard and Arlene!!
