:scared1: :scared1: skipping DL :confused3 How are you going to use your Dream Fast Passes , or have you already used then ???

pirate:

Can't wait to use those.

Although, good news for EVERYONE. All reports are that the crowds are way below normal right now. The economy is really taking a toll on the parks.

Congrats to your DD! That is very exciting about her engagement!

Today is DH's birthday, the big 41! For 3 months he is now older than me which makes me feel special. Yes, it is all about me!

Tonight is the Twilight party and DD is excited to go to the party and get her new book. I wonder if she will have it finished before the trip???;)

I think we finished our shopping this week. I got DS some new dress shoes on sale for $12!

We don't have long formals either, but we do have nice dresses. I also got a great skirt at Macy's for $5.00! I love bargains! Well, off to exercise so I still fit in the dress I have, do some chores, bake birthday cake, etc. Have a great day everyone and Happy August!:cool1:

Which FPs did you receive? We got the special FPs at WDW before our last cruise but they had to be used that same day.

Not sure if WDW relaxed the rules, but at DL, there were so many complaints about people not being able to use their Dream Fastpasses (were either on their way out of the park or the rides weren't using FP that day) that they will now allow you to use them on any day, as long as the Dreams promotion is still going on. I've verified this with a few Dream CMs and through reports on various Disney boards where folks have used their Dream FPs days/months after they were awarded them.

pirate: Hello all!pirate:

just wanted to share a project DD and I are doing.

for any one with kids bringing Webkinz or other "buddies": Jolee's by You sells mini passports for scrap booking that actually have pages and can be filled out with a photo and info. Your child's friend can be prepared for the trip as well!:)

I had bought one for scrap booking without realizing it had these pages inside. DD asked to fill one out for Tex R. Dillo who goes on all our vacations - and DD sends him with DH on his business trips! (DH brought him back from a Texas airport on one of his earliest trips!).

:wizard:

Can you book for a date that hasn't been released yet? I'm looking to set up a sisters cruise for a 4-night for Jan 17-21. Will that be possible, does anyone know?

TIA

No, you can only book for a released date. However, you could book for as far out as possible, then once the new dates are released, you can easily move your reservation.

Yes you can - just let them know onboard that you are just choosing a date and then will be changing it to 2010 once those dates are available. I have a lot of clients that do this and are waiting for 2010 rates / dates to be released

Hmm...I've always been told I had to book a real date now, but that I could move it.

We're doing the pillow case for DD. It's embroidered with Pirate Minnie, and DD wrote Mickie & Minnie a nice letter asking them if they could sign (and all their pals, princes and princesses).

We put the whole thing in a ziploc with our room number on the outside, along with a 10-pack of multicolored Sharpies.

We'll drop it off at GS on the 1st Sea Day.

Andy

Where'd you get the pillow case? That's a great idea.

I thought it was LIME GREEN to match his crocs? :confused3

no... no... no... Our Captain doesn't do green.

We're plugging along (with a huge pile downstairs of stuff to pack). I have buckets of work to do before we leave, but I'm really ready for vacation.

DD27 and her boyfriend came over for dinner last night and broke the news. They have finally set a date for their wedding. They have been together for a few years and have been talking marriage but had not set a date. They are getting married on July 11, 09. They said I could give them a Disney Cruise for their honeymoon. :rotfl2: He is a great guy and is very good with her son. I will have to find something special for them on this cruise.

This is not her ring, but I didn't want to be outdone by Crash now that I have learned how to post a picture.:rotfl:

It was also good news after DH told me the fan on the air conditioner compressor broke and would have to be replaced. Fortunately he is in the home building business and their HVAC guy found a replacement and is going to put it in for us.

Congratulations :cool1: :cool1:  :dance3:

The promotion is not a savings in the end, it is a savings now. The deposit amount is reduced, but the price of the cruise is not reduced, so yes, in the end you will be paying the full deposit. It's not a huge deal for someone like me with only two of us, but for some families of 4 and 5 to put down $1000 to $1250 on a seven night cruise is a lot.

By the way, if you cancel the reservation after the full payment is due, you will have to pay the full deposit and not just the 1/2 off portion.

Thanks Tracy. I'm like you, there's only 2 of us, so it's not such a big deal. Plus, like I said, I've already got 2 in the books so I don't need any more.

Monica
You do have to choose a date but it can be any date. If you let them know onboard that you are looking to go in 2010 they will book a date in December 09 in a gty room so that room numbers aren't being taken when the person is really not going to sail on that date

The dates they are currently using for anyone looking to move their booking to 2010 is Dec 5 and Dec 6 in a gty room for the category you prefer

Princess cruise line has a GREAT rebooking program - You can rebook onboard and just give a deposit without choosing a date. They give you a confirmation number that shows a deposit but no sailing date. You then have 4 years to book a cruise to receive the OBC incentives. If you don't cruise during that time you just call and cancel to receive your deposit back

Hmm.....I may have to rethink my carry on board list.....

Andy

When we sailed last August - I dropped it off later in the day - after our luggage arrived at the Stateroom. I don't think you have to worry about getting it there right away with it being such a long sailing.

Ohh Todd, that's OK. You can still bring your hot pink bedazzled speedo even if it won't be a surprise.

The surprise was that it was DIS GREENnot hot pink ...
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Cause you know how much the Captain likes Lime Green ...

Don't want to burst anyone's bubble - but at WDW at least, those dream fast passes are only good on the day they're issued. The date is even stamped on them. Could easily be different for DL - just thought I'd mention it.

I see someone posted that the rules ARE different at DL - that's great news!!

Thanks Tracy. I'm like you, there's only 2 of us, so it's not such a big deal. Plus, like I said, I've already got 2 in the books so I don't need any more.

I also just noticed that for Dreams Unlimited clients they are still offering the double onboard credit for 2009 bookings through August 31 so you can get the 10% off, Disney onboard credit and Dreams onboard credit of double the usual amount if you book onboard!

I will be making the final updates to these lists tonight. Please be sure to check the threads on the Pirate Zone and make sure your information is correct.

Who's Doing What? located in the Itinerary section. Let us know what excursions you have, Palo reservations, Spa appointments, etc. Then check the list to see if anyone will be joining you. The final list will be published and available for download this weekend.

Grown Up Princesses located in the Sea Day 7 section. Sign up on the list if you will be participating. There may be a few trinkets for those on the list.
