14 days from right...NOW! DSs and I will be on a plane somewhere between Chicago and LA!!! :woohoo:

OMG do I have a lot of stuff to do between now and then!

This might be me
icon_dole2.gif
at Disneyland or on the ship with Dole Whips and ice cream.;) :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

MMMmmm Dole Whip

But more importantly - will it be on the Pirate Navigator?

Yup.

Yet another reason to pack the duct tape! I wonder if DH's handcuff's would pass through security::cop:?

Plastic wire ties work.

Well that ruins my surprise on Princess night ...

pirate:

Ohh Todd, that's OK. You can still bring your hot pink bedazzled speedo even if it won't be a surprise.

We are in Leesburg, just West of DC. This will probably be up to #15 in 5 minutes ;-)

I'm in Alexandria.

Well, right now I'm in DC, but I live in Alexandria.

...for another 22 months...but who's counting....

Can you book for a date that hasn't been released yet? I'm looking to set up a sisters cruise for a 4-night for Jan 17-21. Will that be possible, does anyone know?

TIA

Morning :goodvibes

Now the countdown really begins.

Andrew, thanks for posting the revised Tux rentals. I will see if they are available for this cruise.

Final Check List

Remember to put a hold on your mail if you don't have anyone taking care of it

Suspend the newspaper delivery as well.

If this service is available ,notify your local law enforcement that you will be gone for an extended time as they will check on the premises if you don't have someone else checking for you.

Notify all credit card issuers including you bank if you are bringing your debit card .

I only have 1 neighbor I trust to know we will be away. The ones on either side are new and I would rather they not know I will be gone for this time. The cars will be in the driveway so it will look like we are home and we always leave some lights on .

Got caught up with most of the FE last night. Also was able to finally watch some of the shows I had dvr'd. I don't know if I will get to see any of the shows we may be recording over the trip. The cable company is updating the boxes on Sept 2nd and have been warning lots of dvr info may be lost.:sad2:
Oh well.

Kids will be here again today. Will be picking them up at the Drs office. DGS has an appointment at 1:15 and DD was asked to come in to work at 1:30. Another day of fighting over who gets the computer. We have had rain every day and unless it holds out til later, the pool may be a no. I haven't gotten around to starting my tan.I just might look like a lobster..:lmao:

Might also want to add to check list:
If you have a house alarm notify the alarm company you'll be away
Make sure someone would know how to contact you on the ship:

Domestic - 1-888-DC-ATSEA (1-888-322-8732)
International - 1-732-335-3281
Ship to Shore Rates apply, which ranges from $7.50 - $9.50 per minute.
Disney Magic Ship Fax: 011-874-330-851-611

DD27 and her boyfriend came over for dinner last night and broke the news. They have finally set a date for their wedding. They have been together for a few years and have been talking marriage but had not set a date. They are getting married on July 11, 09. They said I could give them a Disney Cruise for their honeymoon. :rotfl2: He is a great guy and is very good with her son. I will have to find something special for them on this cruise.

This is not her ring, but I didn't want to be outdone by Crash now that I have learned how to post a picture.:rotfl:

It was also good news after DH told me the fan on the air conditioner compressor broke and would have to be replaced. Fortunately he is in the home building business and their HVAC guy found a replacement and is going to put it in for us.

Congratulations to your DD and your family. That's wonderful (especially since you like him!)

This time in 2 weeks we will be at Orlando International Airport waiting to go thru who knows what :lmao: Last time I flew was around 1999 so I have never been subjected to all these rules.

Time to go thru the rest of the lists.

Yes you can - just let them know onboard that you are just choosing a date and then will be changing it to 2010 once those dates are available. I have a lot of clients that do this and are waiting for 2010 rates / dates to be released

TGIF!

I got the Wristbands and they look nice! I am sending out the packages today to everyone who wanted them mailed. I will bundle up the rest this weekend and than I will know how any I have left if anyone who didn't order any would like some.

Now to ketchup!

Thanks again. I will await your message so I know how much $ to send you. I can't wait to see them.

Just finally caught up on the dis boards wow. You all are amazing chatters. :chat: Another day of yard work and getting stuff (try) done. I still have so many things to do such as FE stuff, post cards (just have to put labels on them, shoes for DD6 for her dress(haven't got it yet-on the way), order tux for DH which I am alittle stressing but he says not to worry. Okay.:confused3

I am still bugging my DH to let me get my nails done:worship: and my hair done (no gray please for me). :scared1:

DD6 is finally going on the school bus ok. Yah:cool1: DS14 is at band camp and today is his last day of that I think yah. :rockband:
Because DH wants to take DS14 out shopping for some shorts and dress wear for the men yah more bonding time.

So, for me I am just getting alittle stressed about stuff cause I feel like I am behind, haven't started packing either. I just don't want to be stressed and become grouchy either :headache: .

This to me you all are a awesome Group. :grouphug: and thank you for being such a great group.

So hopefully my week won't be like :scared: this and where I :scared1: freak out. I just need to be calm and not worry so much. :rolleyes1

Thank you for letting me babble on here and have a great day. I am going to do yard work today and get some sun so that I won't blind you with my white legs lol..

Take care,

I'm doing that with the DISUnplugged Podcast Cruise. I didn't have a dummy date to move there. I figure with the savings on the deposit, I can book me another dummy date :thumbsup2

Yes Jo, the rules are the same as before. If you move the date and the promotion is no longer going on, you will have to pay the rest of the deposit. If the 1/2 off deposits are still being offered, you won't.

Question on the 1/2 off deposits. I haven't paid attention before because I already have 2 floaters in the system now.

But....

is it just 1/2 off the deposit when booking, but then when you pay in full you've got to make up that discount? (assuming the promotion is still going on)

or do you never have to pay that other half?

People keep referring to it as saving, but if you have to eventually pay it, I don't see how that is saving, other than being able to reserve a spot without putting as much down.

The promotion is not a savings in the end, it is a savings now. The deposit amount is reduced, but the price of the cruise is not reduced, so yes, in the end you will be paying the full deposit. It's not a huge deal for someone like me with only two of us, but for some families of 4 and 5 to put down $1000 to $1250 on a seven night cruise is a lot.

By the way, if you cancel the reservation after the full payment is due, you will have to pay the full deposit and not just the 1/2 off portion.

Monica, from what I read on the DCL site you still have to pay the other half but it isn't due until your PIF date.
