Well, I have vacationed with Joey Fatone.

I have started to get the books in order for the cruise.. luckily I am in the book swap to I won't need to bring all the books for the 2 weeks. But I ordered the david mcCullough - the path between the seas - the creation of the panama canal 1870-1914 from amazon the other day and it came.. yeah!!! now to hide it so i won't start reading it before i go..


Andrew.. what other panama canal books do you recommend??

You might want to get a running start on the McCullough book. I read a lot of history books and I found the first 100-ish pages slow-ish, but the book really picks up.

Just finished printing up a couple of T-Shirts (bought the black ones, but I'm good enough with transfers to do the white ones myself).

Also completed what I'm confident will be considered the cruise's ugliest fish extender (made from an old-Tshirt, decorated using T-Shirt transfers). I do this (of course), as a public service - by having the ugliest fish extender, nobody else has any cause to be embarassed by theirs.

I thought I was the only one in the running for this "award"

Now, I'm going to have to try to come up with something else I can win at...perhaps the Mickey Bar eating contest.

Got an email and they are targeting the next interview for Tuesday. Said they will get back to me with the time either today or tomorrow.

But, I wanted to post that Concierge has told me that I have 8pm dining.... I am linked with the Pirates so, I thought y'all would want to know!

It's funny concierge keeps giving out rotations yet DCL hasn't assigned tables yet.... They're working on it this week....

BTW Boots are secured... I may have to mail some of this stuff ahead to the hotel since they are a little heavy. (House had to be searched from top to bottom to locate them but some rooms got a little more organized at least .)

Maybe my finding these is a sign that my cloud is going away....I just know there will be a job any day now. (i hope)

hi everyone! i haven't been around in awhile...sick with a major ear infection! hope everyone is doing well...i really can't believe the countdown is nearing the end!!! in a week and a half we will be in cali!!
i've been having trouble finding postcards for the kids exchange...anyone have any ideas for me? we have no souvie places around our area...and i hate to wait til we get to cali to get some. where did everyone else find them? nothing like waiting til the last min!!!

We have a basket of it on the side of the tub so that I can look at it and remember.

Where in New York do you live? Sometimes you have to check the oddest places for them....try your food store. I know our ShopRite sells t-shirts and things that say West Nyack or New City on them (I have no idea why. No one comes here!). Or try a drug store, whether it's your local one or even somewhere like Walgreens, RiteAid, CVS, etc.

Oh I just thought of another place....your Dollar Store!

oh...another reason i've been off the thread....been really sick with morning sickness....
yep...my screen name will change next february to wheelerkidz4!!! we are almost 10 weeks along, so i havent been feeling the best!! hopefully i'll be back to par by the time we sail!

This is very bad I know but the first song that came to me was one that we used to LOVE to sing at GS camp.

OHHHHHHH they built the ship Titanic to sail the ocean blue and the said it was a ship that the water would never go through. It was on its maiden trip when the iceburg hit the ship. It was sad when the great ship went down down down.

Glad Everyone in CA is ok. Lived there for 17 years and went through a few rough earthquakes hard to explain to people who have never been in one but remember the really bad one when I lived on the second floor and saw my floor rippling towards me over and over for the rolling earthquake. Do not miss them at all.
