ATTN SM PARTICIPANTS!!

OK - THAT GOT YOUR ATTN??? :rotfl2:

As we get our room assignments (Stace - I'm still waiting to hear from our TA, BTW, I'm shopping for a new TA so all you TA's out there - keep me in mind! ;) ) , PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, remember to keep us informed.

Now that I'm "supposedly" back, I can now devote more time to this, let me know and I will forward any info you need. Thanks - Laura

For any of our UK friends

Have any of you tried to use GBP in Mexico to pay for anything?
We have 30 pounds left from our holiday in London last year but the areas around here won't let us exchange them into Pesos without exchanging them to U.S. Dollars first, which means we would have to pay the charge for changing currency twice.

TIA

My understanding is that all the ports will accept US$ anyway so my feeling would be to change it back to US$ and just use it for spending money. You may get small amounts of change back in pesos but unless you are planning on doing a lot of shopping in Mexico, 30GBP is a shirt load of pesos! ;)

:confused3 Guess I'm the last one up. Darn it - back to late nights. Must of been all those late nights of dancing. :rotfl2:

OK, guess I'll get off. Darn it - not even Crash is up.

Night all - guess I'll attempt that thing called :cat:

BTW, we picked up the furr kids today, they promptly came home and crashed. The diva guilt-tripped Andrew into letting her fall asleep in his bed, where she promptly proceeded to stretch out and has been sacked out for the last 5 hrs. She's even snoring!

So now my turn, got to get some sleep as I am taking April in to have her moles removed.

BTW, I did mention that the Magic had Mr Bug Spray Man on the ship bright and early spraying right? So I guess they do have that problem. Might explain those ugly welts on Megan, Andrew and my legs. Although mine aren't as bad as Megan's - she looks like she has mumps. He was coming out of the elevator as I was getting in. Yuck! Don't ask as they will not confirm but I tell you, he was there - you all know the man - with the beige uniform and the canister with the spraying wand? ::yes:: that was him - spraying to his little heart's content. I saw it with my own eyes. At least now we know I am not crazy.

:ssst: (Quiet from the peanut gallery please!) :ssst:

Not quite, though its getting late so I'm calling it a night soon :)

Only a few hours until the next shift take over though - morning all!

Another milestone for us is tomorrow when we can say 1 more pay day until we go! :scared1:

I never even noticed......it is that old thing!!!;) :lmao: :lmao:

Wait..........you called me first!!!!!!!!! ;) I was just returning the call!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I was counting on the old thing for you to forget who called first, but you did tell me to call when I had a chance so does that make you first? :confused3 :goodvibes

Now remember................it takes two to talk!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ;)

It takes two to have a conversation, but only one to talk...

Well, actually, it takes one to talk and one to say "mmhmmm" at the appropriate intervals.

You know we love you Cheryl  :goodvibes

AirTran, ALaska, American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, United/Ted and US Air is what is listed on the DOCs. :)

That's what I was thinking, but for some reason I thought there were 7 and I came up with 9. Thanks Lisa.

So what happens if you aren't flying on a participating airline, but do have a transfer from PC to MCO?

As I posted, everyone else has to pick up their luggage in customs. The only ones that don't have to pick up luggage are those with airfare flying on the participating airlines.

got my docs today. there was no form for castaway cay. did anyone else not get a form. you usually get a form to fill out for going to the bahamas ahead of time so you dont have to fill it out at the port before checkin

They stopped mailing out that form a couple years ago. You just fill it out in the terminal. :)

I got this form last September still. I read somewhere that they are doing this online now and it doesn't need to be filled out so they don't mail it. I'll double check though.

G'mornin' pirate:s

Technically ...... No.:rotfl2:

Just as I suspected...

That's what I need...a job with positive feedback!!

Not once has anyone in my family thanked me for doing such a great job of cleaning the toilets. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just havin' fun with ya, Lil'Grumpy!:cutie:

Yeah, but I think you would get negative feedback if you didn't.

OK, I'd get negative feedback from DH, DSs wouldn't notice.

Ok just for fun,

What is the strangest thing you are packing?

For me it is a potty for my just-3 year old. :sad2: Any steps backwards in this potty training nightmare just won't do so I am bringing the trusty/familiar potty/step stool combination for him. After all, when he's not happy, no one is happy! :)

You just might win this one! How are you going to fit that in a suitcase???

I'm packing Tinkerbell wings for a 35-year-old woman!

And a noose.

I see Gainesville still tops the list.

A friendly reminder to call your credit card companies and let them know you will be leaving the country. I just did!!! Something checked off my list!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Anyone with T-Mobile cell phones??? These are the rates charged from each country per minute.

Mexico $1.49
Panama Canal $2.99
Cartagena $2.99
Aruba $1.49
Bahamas $2.99

Actually, Chase only holds the alert for 30 days. I would wait til Aug to call them and check with your other card companies and debits etc.

T-mobile told me there are no roaming charges.

Cheryl, is that PLUS roaming charges? I thought when I had checked a few months ago it was the charges you listed plus roaming but this stuff really confuses me :confused3 Thanks for posting for Tmobile.

Michelle

I still don't trust them on no roaming charges but will call and get someones name ,rank and serial # :lmao: just to play it safe. By the way Cheryl left off the text $ was quoted to both of us as .15 both in and out. altho they have sent reminders of .20 price raise they still say .15. Will call later this week to confirm.

I thought it was for those getting off in Nassau??

I checked with DCL and they got my Medical form and confirmed the $50 credit from using the Disney Visa. CAlled TA and they informed me they will be putting their credit on around 1 week before. Add that to my check list.

DH will be getting his bionic knee device this week and is excited. They call it the brain in a box and is truly amazing. He tried it out last week and actually for the first time in over 5 years wasn't dragging the leg. Hopefully this will allow him to walk longer without getting fatigued. I had to think about the noose for a second, but I figured it out!

I was considering the potty chair too. Just haven't decided for sure.

Like you said, if a 3 year old isn't happy, no body is happy! :)

Besides that, I can't think of anything wierd...

If the potty won't fit, I'll ship a new one to the DL Hotel and bring a duffle bag to carry it on the ship... Or, I'll stuff it with socks and stick it in the biggest suitcase I have! I think a test run will be in order...

Somehow the wings surprise me more than the noose with this crowd! pirate:

I can see you having to explain that to TSA in the airport: "Well Sir, after the noose, I'll don the wings, pixie dust the plane... Of course it will work, the Disney Magic flies every week on pixie dust.... Yes, I've witnessed it, everyone sheds a tear and it's just...well, it's just magical!"

Don't worry, we'll bail you out...:)

Bail someone out?!

If it comes down to a choice between bail money or a conc cooler, which one do you really think is going to win? :lmao:

What about changing it onboard at guest services. Would they not change from GBP to Pesos?

Note to self...be sure to pack the sign.

I didn't mind you putting yourself in my picture as much as I minded the fact that you didn't make me skinny. :)

And, thanks, by the way, for holding my drink during the picture. I could always tell the bishop, "That wasn't my drink. It wasn't even in my hands!" :rotfl2:
