Thanks for the font ideas, I'll look into them tomorrow

Ok, so after my moaning and groaning this morning, I got some things accomplished.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

  • Got all school supplies ready for DS
  • Got 3 new school shirts (they wear uniforms) plus he can use some from last year
  • Found clip on hoop earings for DS's costume
  • Got a mini can of Lysol (this was really hard to find - finally found it at Walmart at the checkout aisle)
  • Got me 2 new dresses (each less than $9) one can pass for semiformal although not really what I was looking for
  • Got me shorts for zip lining - hadn't thought about this until someone else posted
  • Got a new rolling duffle bag since I discovered the stitching was coming out on one of ours
  • Found a supplier for my FE gifts at half the cost of others I was looking at, will call them tomorrow to order

Monica, are you wearing shorts for zip lining? I bought capris for this because of the harness. Do yoou have any experience with this?

Our schools used to do that but stopped last year. Major bummer! Was so much easier that way but apparently not enough people were buying the sets so they stopped doing it. :(
Fortunately in past years I really stocked up (because I get sick and tired of having to pay higher prices for stuff when they ask for MORE AND MORE AND MORE throughout the school year!) so I'm okay missing the major sales on most things like crayons, glue, etc. I have bought the older two new case it 3" binders though... that's the biggest task in finding those at that size- without paying a fortune- so I feel I accomplished a lot already! hehe

I end up paying a lot more, but I just seems easier. (maybe I'm just lazy ;) ) Although this year I had to buy a gym uniform for DS11. So far I'm two strikes for two. I bought one pirate shirt too small & his $100.00 custom soccer uniform wearable, but small. :scared1:

Hey M, how many more Mondays 'til TOAL?
Or better question, how many more shopping weekends?

G'mornin' pirate:s

OK, I got stuff done this weekend. Not nearly enough, but stuff.
School supplies are bought, labeled, and in bookbags.
Quasi-organized piles are accumulating in the guest room.
Toiletries are packed.
Boys have new tennis shoes.

Still have lots and lots of FE gifts to make & door magnets.
And oh yeah, kid's journals and navigator.
Need to make one giant trip to the dry cleaners and have my new formal shortened.

So much time, so little to do.
Strike that, reverse it.

I wanted to put a speedo on him but I couldn't find the frosting effect on PS. :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So in our packing this weekend, DH pulled out his Speedos. Yes plural. Once upon a time (HS & college) he was a swimmer. Smart add put three Speedos in his packing pile. I looked at him like :confused3. He said he was bringing extra in case any of the swabbies want to borrow one.

Altogether now - EEEEEEWWWWWWWW!
On oh so many levels.

I can sympathize Monica.... My one task lately has nothing to do with this trip (ie get job.)

It seems like until that is done..everything else has to go on hold....Boy i hope i hear something soon... Looks like a couple sleepless nights close to the trip.....

:flower3:

won my fish extender auction on ebay...

one more thing off the list!

DW finally found the Wii Fit. Has some fun on the ski jump!

Man, I suck at the ski jump!

can anyone access their DCL reservation tonight? I keep getting an error when I log in as follows:

Does this mean that their system is down? Of all times, I was going in to print out our documentation.

Just trying to be hassle free!

Our Home & School Assoc puts together school supplies for those who want to buy them. We ordered the supplies back in May. I'm hoping the ex will go pick them up.

Ours does that too, for 4x the price. The kits are standard, but each grade needs different supplies, so you still run out to buy things. AND pick up time is conveniently 1-3 on a weekday.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I thought I had lost you! These threads fill up faster than I can read them.
:surfweb:

Pretty impossible to lose 400 pirate:s

NEW ROOM NUMBER!! Our new room number is 6645. This is the room that "didn't exist" on Friday... :lmao: I sure hope we didn't go from the lifeboats to a black hole... :confused3

YAY! Congrats on the new, and I hope quieter, room!

Now I am going back to see if "I" can find those lost goggles....

Daddy comes through in a pinch!

My DH is like that. He can find anything anywhere. He once found my contact lense in the woods.

Crumbs on the counter is a different story.

LOL - how would you choose to cut a cake like that?

Happy birthday Tina!

Eunicy snip snip.

Monica, are you wearing shorts for zip lining? I bought capris for this because of the harness. Do yoou have any experience with this?

Hmmm, I'm wearing shorts. I look stupid in capris, so I don't have any, and no way and I wearing pants in the tropics in August!

:scared1:

This is why DS's $104 hockey jerseys are referred to as their "hockey dresses". No way am I going to spend $400 a year on jerseys (2 each, home and away).

Hey M, how many more Mondays 'til TOAL?
Or better question, how many more shopping weekends?

4 grumbly Mondays.

Cruise Question

Those of you with small children, what excursions do you plan to do at each of the ports?

Right now we just have plans in Cabo (Family Resort & Pool Escape), PV (Paradise Beach Adventure), and Aruba (Seaworld Exploroer). We have a 3.5yo and a 15mo. and options - through DCL - seem rather limited and I'm not sure I'm that comfortable with some of the choices after reading reviews from WBPC and MR cruisers.

My DS isn't as young as your kids, but I have booked the harbor cruise in Cabo, the Dolphin Observer in PV, the beach break in Acapulco, the Seaworld Explorer in Aruba. I also have the Las Americas Getaway booked in Cartagena, but I'm not sure about that one. It's a fairly long excursion for what's just a beach/pool day and I have a feeling my DS might want to be back at the ship before it's time to leave. I really wish we could do some of the cultural tours, but I know he'd had no patience for that. He's also not really a swimmer or particularly adventurous so that ruled out some excursions that he's old enough for but that wouldn't work for us.

I updated you, but a reminder to everyone that you should PM me (and Lisa, and Kristina or Cheryl is you have linked dining) to be sure we all have the corrected information.

Is the roster list only for deck 2 or was the others on the other thread? Just curious........

Whoa what a list. How many busses are we using? That's a lot of peeps (and who knows how much luggage for all those peeps. LOL)

There will (of course) be a pictoral of every deck with the FE cabins in green and non-FE pirates in blue . . . compiled by our wonderful Mike . . . he was just showing deck 2 as he started working on them.

As for the buses, I see Wendy answered later, but we have 4 buses, and will be sure that the buses are not too full to hold everyone's luggage.

The fish extender list is closed, and is almost complete

Please check your information and PM with any changes

Also please PM me if your cabin changes

If you find out at the port, please put your old and new cabin information on the whiteboard on my cabin, 6050

Our Home & School Assoc puts together school supplies for those who want to buy them. We ordered the supplies back in May. I'm hoping the ex will go pick them up.

Our PTA does this too. But, conveniently, they also actually deliver the supplies to the classes so they are waiting there for the kids on the first day of school. :thumbsup2 I have found that the price is sometimes higher than if I just bought everything myself, but since I don't have to run around (to multiple stores, sometimes) and then have the kids cart everything with them on the first day, it's worth it!

Kim

WOW..............I don't get on here for a few days and you all are on a new thread already! I didn't even finish the last 25 pages of the old one! I went back 10 pages or so on this one..............hopefully I didn't miss anything but WOW - everyone is in major planning mode now.

Just wanted to slip in and say hi to everyone & wish all a great week. I am in major planning mode this week too. I have lots to do but slowly checking things off my list. Got my fish extender done and we have the gifts ready. I printed my magnets last night and also am getting ready to make some shirts.

I spent ALOT of money this weekend and it had nothing to do with TOAL. DS needed a pair of wrestling shoes for camp this week - $25. DD needed new riding boots and along with the boots came new chaps and she also needed some new Jods $125. Groceries (I have not gone & done major shopping for a whole month) at Costco $355 - :scared1: Gas in DH car $50, Gas in my car $65 (gas has gone down a few cents in the last couple of days - :) Ice maker needed to be fixed $100. School Supplies at Target $65. Half of DS birthday present - $50. I refuse to buy anything today :headache:

Have a great Monday everyone!!

I have a 22 month old and a 3 (almost 4) year old, as well as an 8 and a 10 year old. So...we're trying to do some fun things, in addition to some educational excursions. Right now we're planning on the Harbor Cruise & Scenic Drive in Cabo, Dolphin Encounter at Sealife Park in PV (on our own)...the nice thing about this one is that kids as young as 1 can participate and kids under 5, I think, are free with their parents...plus there is a water park which is included with your Dolphin Encounter price, in Acapulco we are booked for the Cliff Divers but I really think we're going to cancel and join the walking tour to the Fort, Deluxe Cartagena & Fortress with Folklore Show, and De Palm Island Beach Getaway in Aruba.

Monica, are you wearing shorts for zip lining? I bought capris for this because of the harness. Do yoou have any experience with this?

The Cabo Recommendations:

Tennis shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen.

I am planning on just a pair of longer shorts instead of my capris.

Laura ....eeyorelvr10...just text me and said the Magic has been stopped for over an hour and had no electricity. She said she just now got phone service. They smell fuel and she is up on deck 4 right now. Anyone know anything?? She is concerned.

Oh My!!! Not good. :scared:

Just got word that she is headed back down to her room. Said service is spotty. They have not made any announcements. I gotta leave for work but will let you know if I hear anything when I get there. Laura will keep me updated and I will pass along the info.
