Another cruise question!

I just found out our dining rotation....but not the time. Does anyone know what time each rotation is assigned to?

I don't know if I will be able to get one...(though I want to) and I have my bridal one...but haven't worn that yet and if anything happened to it I would be sad.....


I don't know what to do....Should I get one..should I not worry?
Oh the problems...whether to get a tiara or not!

If you can't find one, I have an extra I could bring. It isn't anything "fancy" - I'm pretty sure I bought it at Claire's several years ago - but it is a tiara with lots of white rhinestones! Let me know if you need it and I'll put it with the "cruise box" so I remember to pack it...

Evening Crew! Just pokin' my head in the door to say ARGH!

Sorry I haven't been around - been busy getting here, and meetin' with Caropooh, and Disfreaks. Boy, did we have a good time.

I got sick as a dog though. Well, actually, my dog's pretty gosh darn healthy - so I was sicker than a dog. We think something at the "Bite of Seattle" bit back. Landed at the Emergency Room that night, and the local urgent care clinic the next night. Morphine was my friend. Then, after two days of misery - it left as quick at it came. Go figure. In any case it was alarming enough that DH postponed his trip home till Thursday, but went home today when it magically disappeared. (My next stop was a hospital in Bellevue if the pain reocurred.)

Looks like planning is well underway for everyone. There's no hope of catching up - so I'll just read the last 10 or so pages.

Poke at me if I've missed anything important.

Since we are possibly adding DD i had to go get another black shirt.

That's ok though as i found a really nice sleaveless one in WM for cheap.

With iron-on it will be good.

Just spoke to Cheryl. They have been at the hospital since 7 this morning and they just took him for his test. Seems they have 4 cath labs and only 1 working today She is not very happy. I pity the hospital staff if they delay any longer. Will keep you informed. Have sent her all the well wishes and warned her about eating at Cabo Wabo

PLA - 5:30 & 8
LAP - 5:45 & 8:15
APL - 6 & 8:30

I've never seen any teens wearing jeans -- maybe some of the guys. I'll double check with Samantha. She wears shorts, long shorts, capries, during the days and usually dress/skirts for dinner.



This would be 10ds...... He would be THRILLED if we let him have a top & cane!!!!

I'm thinking Alana won't be wearing jeans, unless she got cold some night. But being 14yo, she may wear them just to annoy me.

Part of being a teen is figuring out what you want to wear (which includes going through phases, wanting to wear what others are wearing, etc). Let her wear what she wants, but bring some backup stuff for if she changes her mind.

At least what she wants to wear are jeans.....

(no offense intended to those of the goth persuasion - it's a perfectly legitimate form of self-expressions, and does fall within DCL guidelines for dinner wear)

what's scary is, if Alana saw that picture, she would think they just looked awesome.

We haven't started yet but I already know it's going to be around 4 or 5 suitcases for us - and there are only 3 of us and NO PIRATE COSTUMES!

I'm still trying to figure out how we are going to fit everything in 4 suitcases. I'm just so opposed to paying for an additional suitcase. It's just not right.

The good new is, I bought the wrong tux for the right kid! DS8 is my diva. He actually thinks the tails will be cool! Next, he'll want a freeking top hat and cane.

This would be 10ds...... He would be THRILLED if we let him have a top & cane!!!!

Ds12 loves to dress up too. We are frugal, so he will be wearing a black suit for formal nights, but he LOVED wearing a tux when he was in my brother's wedding last Summer. He would totally dig the tails, top hat and cane! He'd think he's Willy Wonka.

His personality in a nutshell.......We have a little "inside" family joke about him that we always have to repeat whenever we are having a nice dinner. He has always loved drinking (non-alcoholic) beverages out of a wine glass. And when he was first learning to drink from a cup, it was actually easier for him to hold the stem of a wine glass than a regular cup. Anyway, when he was about 3 years old, he was sipping from his wine glass and says to us in his best British accent "I'm a man with a glass!" Oh....I'm laughing just thinking about it! I guess you had to be there.......

So..I am working on stuff around the house and DD reminds me that we got DH engraved cufflinks and a money clip as a gift for the VR..and they are now engraved with the wrong date

Kind of bummed but I guess DH will just have to add 3 days when he looks at them!

They were to expensive to buy again...oh well.. it will work out!

CRUISE QUESTION!!!



Okay....finally got around to trying to pack up the wine and Pepsi. Won't fit in a rolling duffel....so I'm using an old suitcase that I'll just leave on the ship. Maybe some CM will need one.
Anyway.....the darn thing is REALLY heavy. Really really heavy. I can barely lift it.
SO.....will the porters take it and check it in, or will I have to haul it all over until our room is ready??? Do they have a weight limit??

I've never taken wine, just a few Pepsi's.......

I don't think you can check "liquids" with the porters. Also, your carry on needs to fit through the TSA scanner. I swear I saw dimensions before, but now I can't find them.

DS8's line is: "This is the yife." He was 4 when we got a hot tub & had a Y/L pronunciation problem. The first time we all got in the tub, he climbed in, sat down and said "Ahhh, this is this yife." We still say it all the time!

I'm frugal too. Tux was $30 on e-bay. Of course, I ended up buying 3 of them, but still cheaper than rentin one. Esteri and I are time-sharing vests & bow ties for our boys. I got black, she got silver and we'll switch for the 2nd formal night.

We aren't participating - I wanted to but since we are traveling with extended family, lets just say I won't go there

but....
I was keeping up with the information in case we ended up joining in anyway. I believe it is what everyone can afford. There aren't any rules for it just more of a fun thing to do.

Well..the UPS guy just brought Mickey Mail for me...it's the info on our VR

Seems our date got changed and no one thought to tell us

I booked everything around the original date (have to redo the magnet too)

We have tea for the time that is now booked for our VR..DW says they can move the tea..I hope so...

I also have to fugure out what I want to do for my manicure..the idea was to have it done the first night so it looked nice for the VW.

I think we will wear our semi-formal stuff for the 1st formal night - I dont want to chance my ruining my dress for the VR.

Oh well..we are at 4pm at Sessions so that's good!

How frustrating that you made so many plans and they never told you they had changed the date!

We are getting Cruise docs Tomorrow and just can't wait. So, excited it's finally here. Also, finally found a formal dress for me and my daughter to match (color) wow. So, excited. On the way is my postcards for the kids which will be a project adding our information, we got disney labels with address and email.
The kids are going to have so much fun.

I just can't wait to meet you all. Oh, can anyone give me some ideas for the fish extenders? I just never done this before.

Joan had some good advice before about Oriental Trading . . . also people sometimes give candy, magnets, temporary tattoos, stickers, little bottles of bubbles, glow sticks, or other items that could be fun on the ship.
