We always wear ears on to the ship..this time we have pirate ears...so..I know they won't go with the MMC nite but we might wear them anyways that night.

When he went by, I was napping and DH woke me up. The guy stopped at a cabana near ours and posed for pics with some girls there, but I wasn't fast enough with my camera ....or phone, I should say. I was stupid and didn't take my camera. He was even wearing a curly-haired wig.

Forget the dining room debate. It is going to be approximately 400 degrees in the tropics in August. I wouldn't be caught dead in jeans. Way too hot!

Our family isn't packing any either. Too hot!

The FedEx truck just left I got my early birthday present, a 70-300 lens for my D40X Can't wait to play around with that!

You have a Cricut too! And the Mickey and Friends cart?!!! I was thinking the same thing, to cut some out. From 1/2" to 5 1/2"!

I'm just stuck now for semi-formal and formal night. I was planning on getting him a suit or at least a nicer pair of pants, shirt and coat. But he's in a growth phase and is right between a size 7 and a size 8 right now and I can't find anything that fits him right.

Laura - have you tried Old Navy. I know I'm in Canada but they must have relatively the same stock. I got a couple of nice dress pants for my son there last year (lucked out and they'll still do for this cruise). They have adjustable waists. He's wearing them with a few nice short sleeve shirts.

Khaki shorts and different shirts are just fine for the dining room.
As for formal and semi---get him one pair of black slacks (cheap like at Target or WalMart) and a white shirt for semi and on formal night add a tie. He'll look cute as a button and you won't waste $$ on a suit.

I agree 100%, this will be our 4th DCL cruise with DSs since they were 5 years old all the way to 15 this year. For semi and formal night I have always just had them wear long pants, button down shirt and a tie and they fit right in with all the other kids. There are definitely a few who wear tuxes and a larger number with full suits, but the majority are just shirts and ties.

I hate to tell you, but it doesn't get any easier when they get older as far as growing out of everything. One of my 15yos wears a bigger jacket size than DH and for a while he needed a jacket for a Bar Mitzvah, then one for his 8th grade trip and everytime I had to get a bigger size.

I also told them that if came down to being in the same room and it being one half of a connecting room that you prefer to stay where you are

The good new is, I bought the wrong tux for the right kid! DS8 is my diva.

When do you think you'll know if DD is in or not??

Bad news is that i do not have a job yet.

Good news is that we have one of dd's friends and her sister lined up to watch the DDogs.....

Bad news... Have to pay dog sitters... & Figure out how to get to/from Dulles and such....

So..if anyone wants me to send them to their kids as a pre-cruise welcome to Disneyland (I did this in 2005 too) I can do so...I usually just put something like...Can't wait to see you or something in the Walt Disney Font and sign it Mickey.

I have my very first set of mouse ears from when i was a kid. I think if i pinned them they would stay on.

DD has a set of pirate ears and a tink set....

I also have pirate capt. mickey ears headbands.

Tell me about it Everytime I turn around something else is too small. Just replaced all the pj's and underwear. Both DD and DS are into adult size shoes Ordered a tux for my niece's wedding for DS - pants were one size and the jacket was another.

We've opted for dress pants, shirt and tie. DS would happily wear a tux if I ordered one though. I've already shelled out over $300 in tux rentals this summer - just not willing to do it for the TOAL. Shirt/Pants/Tie will do fine.

I shouldn't laugh but I have a big brother too..and when I was about 9 or so..Mom made us coniglio for dinner..I was enjoying it until my brother leaned across the table and asked..."So..how does it feel to be eating Thumper?" I never ate rabbit again!

Maybe we should send a postcard to your older son from mickey telling him to be nice to his younger brother!
