8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #12

I did get them at Michael's..they are thinner then our pirate shirts but thicker then Fruit-of-the-Loom shirts..if that makes any sense. We got them 2 for 5 but my and DH were a little more expensive becuase we needed a larger size. In all..including transfer paper and a cardboard t-shirt form (worked really well for lining them up...it cost us $24 and change out the door.

I think the aulity is fine for what I will be using them for.

What is everyone else wearing with their MMC shirts? Can we wear blue jeans in the dining room?

ABOLUTELY WONDERFUL NEWS!

Now, I'm getting excited.

As a lot of you know, I am staying on board for the 5-Day cruise after our Repo cruise.

When I booked that cruise, I booked into a room and requested the same room for the Repo as well, but was given GTY status.

Well, when the GTY's were assigned last week, I ended up in 6632. I thought, DRAT (actually, was a bit stronger than that! ), I'm going to have to move.

There were a couple offers of room swaps, but speaking with my travel agent (DVC) and DCL, they made it sound like it would be easier to build and maintain an ice rink in hell rather than change rooms on the Repo cruise.

So, we began to go to work on the 5 day cruise. Just today, I was told that my room number for the 5-Day cruise was switched to 6632, so I can remain in my room and not have to pack and move to another when we get into PC on September 1st. I'm psyched!

Just wanted to share that happy news with you!

I actually found our shirts at Walmart. They had a bunch of plain t-**** on clearance. I got me a girl fit tee and DS a layered look tee for $3 each.

I'm thinking of black slacks or a black skirt (if I find an inexpensive one). Although our shirts are not the traditional design of MMC, I wanted to somewhat mimic their outfits.

I know, Paula . . . we were hoping to stay in ours, too, but got our 5 night assignment on Monday for a cabin down the hall a bit from 6050 . . .still, it's a lot better than getting off the ship, right?

On another note, John called me and he and Cheryl had to dash to be with their son as he has to have an angiogram tomorrow.Seems the cardiologist found something. So send her some pixie dust. I will be calling her after I leave work tonight.

Families not getting excited about the cruise.....

I think all of our kids will tell you that DCL is their favorite vacation spot -- WDW is a close second!
Our kids are beyond excited! LOL! I let 17dd (Samantha) & 10ds (Elvis)look at the excursions for a couple of weeks before we could book them. They got to pick out which excursions were the ones they wanted to do the most.

Most of the ports dh & I split up for the excursions -- I HATE the beach. I like doing tours. And I don't think any of us should have to have youngest dd (7dd, Claire) on every excursion!
We usually do a *family* excursion at one of the ports & CC. This time I think we are doing more family excursion then not...... Cabo may be the only Port that we are splitting up this time! LOL!

Now DH doesn't seem to be as excited as he normally is.... Last summer he was the one reading this thread (not me!) and emailing info he would find out about the cruise, etc.... I'm hoping that once he is away from work he will enjoy himself more.

Just read this on the trip report thread. Looks like they were on the Magic last week. I think I am glad we are not going to Cabo Wabo.

I was on this cruise too with my family. It was Norovirus. I had it so bad that I needed bags of IV fluid and my arms are a MESS from them blowing the veins. I had a shot in my rear for nausea, and was so weak I needed a wheelchair to get to the health center. My husband and son also got it, and we were quarantined. It is confirmed that it came from the restaurant Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas.
I have NEVER been so sick in my life, and I will NEVER go back to Mexico. Not like we ate in a dive - that restaurant is very "Americanized" and owned by Sammy Hagar.

Like Tom, Diane and others have stated, this group does not plan on eating. The higher the consumption of alcohol the greater the chances of killing any bugs.

Maybe they are going in the reverse order? We had a stateroom at 9:15 am ET on 1/31/07 and still nothing showing on the UPS site. We can always hope for a move I guess. LOL!

Lisa mine did not show up in the system until tonight and that was that the billing information had be received. No arrival date yet but I expect Monday.



M are you sure that there isn't a family in Alaska right now thinking that the UPS guy that just delivered them cruise tickets was Ed Mcmahon. OK, that was not funny. They are saving the best for last.

I know that there are many of us staying on and I know a LOT of us requested linked reservations with same cabins. I just don't think DCL paid very close attention to our requests. This HUGE block of GTY's waiting for assignments until the last minute really conflicted with the 5-Day where so many people were assigned rooms upon making reservations. You would think they would have a better way of doing things but I guess that won't happen anytime soon.

Anyway . . . back to the cruise excitement . . .
