We got some good news today.... 10ds, Elvis, had an Eye Dr appt today..... He no longer needs his glasses!!! :dance3: :dance3: He has worn them since he was 5. He will need to use the drops in one eye (blurry for 2 hrs) every day until we leave on the cruise and then 2 twice a week until we get back and then a recheck on Sept 8th!

DS told me that he really wanted another pair of glasses.... I asked him if he had an extra $300 to buy them.....:lmao:

Yay Elvis :woohoo:

If you have DCL transfers from PC to MCO and you are flying on the airlines doing onboard check in with DCL you do not have to get your luggage, it will go through customs without you and will be tagged and placed on your plane. But only with the airlines allowing onboard check in (sorry I don't have the list with me at this computer, but for sure it includes NWA, Continental, USAir, AirTran, American, Alaska and a couple other ones).

Also United & Delta

Well I wanted to take it on the plane? I want to drink it on the 15th to toast our countdown 1 year to our wedding....so It would be gone on the 15th!

You like Moet?

Chrissie

DH packed a small suitcase with a bottle of Moet for our anniversary on the 22nd and a couple bottles of wine. He put styrofoam peanuts on the bottom of the bag and then wrapped each bottle in bubble wrap. When we arrive in LA we will take that small rolling suitcase and carry it onto the ship

For any of our UK friends

Have any of you tried to use GBP in Mexico to pay for anything?
We have 30 pounds left from our holiday in London last year but the areas around here won't let us exchange them into Pesos without exchanging them to U.S. Dollars first, which means we would have to pay the charge for changing currency twice.

TIA

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Reminds me when we were on our Hawaii cruise (14 days from Los Angeles to Hawaii and back) there was a very informative and nice gentleman on board to give a talk on ships that had sunk..primarily the Titanic. He gave the talk several times and they even played it on the TV...when I went to the Casino..I looked over and there was a slot machine called "The Titanic"...but the final straw was one afternoon while heading to meet my family bythe pool..I came out to hear the band playing..you guessed it.. "My Heart Will Go On" And everyone wondered why I was stressed out! :lmao:

That is how I feel whenever DH flies out to SD, CA for his certification. He is an aerospace engineer designing and maintaining military planes. He flies out there for two week seminars given by the NTSB about plane crashes. They analyze every aspect then get back on a plane to fly home after the class. He likes to watch the air disaster shows. Last week I told him that I couldn't take those anymore. If he wants to get me on the plane for the cruise I can't be thinking about crashing. :(

Just got news that my cat is holding his own even though he has lost alot of weight (has kidney issues) We thought when we took him to the vet we would get bad news but his levels are all up from where they were..so that is great!

Chrissie

Chrissie, that is great news about your kitty. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

AirTran, ALaska, American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, United/Ted and US Air is what is listed on the DOCs. :)

Hi Gang,

Got our docs today also - they arrived just before we left for our tour of Pixar Studios.
Pixar is really super - both of my older grandkids decided they wanted to work there!!

DH Paul has been so focused on his Pirate costume that I had to ask him if he planned to wear it the entire cruise - he hadn't given a thought to clothes for the other 14 days (except the pirate t-s*****)!!!!!

I have lists and more lists - and still have shopping to do - I hate shopping. Love eBAy and online shopping and Monica's help (an uber shopper)!!

Going to spend time w/DGKids this week - then next week finish up prep for the TOAL. Sounds good anyway!!!

What is the one thing that you are most looking forward to NOT doing on your TOAL? I think the thing I will NOT miss the most is cleaning the toilets and showers!

June says deciding what's for dinner. For me, it's not having to fight the traffic, parking situation, protestors and the crowds of the DNC in downtown Denver while we're going through the Panama Canal!

I actually 'Hate' having my photo taken, It reminds me of how much I have put on in weight.

We were looking for old door magnets and found pictures of our first cruise. We were actually quite a bit heavier on that first cruise. :sad2: I wanted to burn the pictures, but at least now we can "retake" them and won't mind nearly as much having our picture taken now.

15yr olds are much easier to be angry at... :rotfl2: 15yr old boys can be very annoying... I spent one entire summer telling my nephew *They only people that think you are funny are other idiot 15yr boys!!!* That summer he spent 2 months with us........

Oh no!:scared1: I was hoping it was just a 13 year old thing. You mean, we have at least two more years of this!?:confused3 And then two more boys who will be "maturing"! Send help!!

We have the 2nd page with four barcodes for DCL/DME transportation. [Did not book anything with DCL for this.]

The 3rd page says "all transfers declined". So it looks like this page was printed for everyone but the next page will say what it is valid for...if anything.

We have this page as well.......the next page says Transportation to MCO........we booked transfers from Port Canaveral to MCO.

Do they have Amblyopia? (sp?) Lazy Eye. Do they do eye therapy and/or patch?

I know that we are very close to thetrip but did YAHOO have to post this as the top thing on my home page water saftey. Just what I needed:lmao:

Well at least we now have a buncha pirates that can plug a hole in the ship in case of hitting an iceburg...

So what happens if you aren't flying on a participating airline, but do have a transfer from PC to MCO?

OOPS. I meant for this to be a PM. Deleted it and sent it PM. Sorry!

Hey Everyone!

A couple of questions:
1. I need a clarification....can we hang banners on the verandah while going through the Panama Canal? I want to make one, but don't want to waste time if we're not allowed. Also, we're in 5124....will they even take pictures of that side of the ship?
2. Just wondering....what kind of food during they have the BBQ on deck during the journey through the PC?
3. Has anyone heard if Mike Super is going to be on the cruise?

Thanks!

A friendly reminder to call your credit card companies and let them know you will be leaving the country. I just did!!! Something checked off my list!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Anyone with T-Mobile cell phones??? These are the rates charged from each country per minute.

Mexico $1.49
Panama Canal $2.99
Cartagena $2.99
Aruba $1.49
Bahamas $2.99

Cheryl, is that PLUS roaming charges? I thought when I had checked a few months ago it was the charges you listed plus roaming but this stuff really confuses me :confused3 Thanks for posting for Tmobile.
