Open Itunes
Insert the disk into the computer
Itunes will ask if you want to import it- yes
It will import it into itunes
What you will need to do is make a playlist for it
Go to File- new playlist- then label that playlist
Go into your music (it won't recognize it a an audiobook)
You can highlight the first one and then hold down ctrl and click the last one and it will highlight all in the section.
While highlighted right click and go to Add to playlist and select that playlist
Make sure that when you hook you ipod to the computer that the playlist is checked to upload into your ipod
When your ipod is attached to the computer, go to the music tab and check that playlist and click apply(at the bottom right of the screen)

That's it.
You will need to do this to every disk or import all the disks first then add them to the playlist by the highlight and add directions
Have fun.

PERFECT instructions for me!! Thank you!!

And another one, since I'm going to be gone:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLEY BIP!!!!! (31st)

Nope. We're going. Just for fun look up the travel warnings for Mexico - says a lot of the same things as Colombia & most people have no problem getting off there. Colombia is a big country, you are likely never going to be very far from the ship, certainly not out of Cartagena. There are many places in most US cities that many of us wouldn't want to travel through, but the touristy areas are fine!

We have a friend at the embassy in Cartagena. He said cruise ship traffic has increased dramatically, even in the last 2 years he's been there - stick with a DCL or major excursion company (like Mr. Emerald) and you will be fine.

I know people that think we are nuts traveling to the USA because they believe that isn't safe.

All we see on the TV is shooting with crime dramas and violence. OMG you aren't going to Los Angeles are you... they have riots there! Not to mention the violent crime rate in the US AND people are allow to carry guns - heck even the police have guns in the US! (Police don't carry guns here.)

All a matter of perception.

Keep safe, be careful, don't carry large amounts of cash, don't wear expensive or flashy jewellery and don't draw attention to yourself. Look like you know where you are going at all times. Stick to tourist areas and if you feel unsafe head back to the ship and/or get a cab, go into a store etc. Take a group tour if you aren't confident to walk around on your own.

I don't know. I don't have kids so I have never had to do that, but from what I have been told, the problem has to do with authorizing the children, either for responsibility or limiting them. Some people feel if they don't authorize them, that's ok, but you can't print out the contract. Apparently what you did was right and allowed you to print out the contract.
Ah, you're probably right. :)

I will put it with your lanyards...as for the dress..I found it...it's a M ...guess I was a lot smaller then! :sad2: Sorry!
Oh bummer... so we were both a lot smaller than we thought. hehe
I tried the M dress on Ruby and it fit her just fine. I knew it would- since she's almost as tall as me and actually weighs just a few pounds more than I did when I had lost the weight and bought this dress in the first place. hehe

OHwell- if nothing else Jeff can just wear his shirt one night without us all matching him- kids aren't eating dinner with us anyway. And then maybe I can get just a photo of the KIDS -in this matching set- one evening sometime on the cruise. :)

Yep, after the Litho surprise on the 11nt, we're prepared for most things, but the wire basket that the robes came in last year threw us for a while

I still have that wire basket! (from REAS pkg) I have it in my bathroom -it's a catch all for things like brushes and stuff. :)

Honestly, I've never been afraid traveling anywhere before... well, maybe my first time back in DC after 9/11. However, I keep thinking that a Disney cruiseline passenger would make headlines for the rebels there. I know, I know... silly. We are going to stick to the Disney excursion and will leave all valuables except the camera in the room. My best friend works for the World Bank and is going to a conference in Cartegena in Dec. She said because it is one of the protected areas for the UN because of the historical area it is much safer than other parts of the country. Still, I'm not venturing out on my own even though I know Spanish.

And......for all the

birthdays I am going to miss ....a couple of BIG Birthday wishes!!

A few pirate:s had indicated they had GPS devices that would log their trip on the web.

Is there anyone doing this that would share their website with us to allow relatives to follow along (knowing that the site will show "Jane and Joe Jones" trip, but our relatives can figure it out)?

Can you post website here

TIA

So I spent about 2 hours in Urgent care. I have found out that I have a fracture in my 5th metatarsal. I currently have it splinted. I have to go to an orthopedic Dr. to find out what else needs to happen. They think it will take about 4 weeks to heal. But I just saw the urgent care doc. So I may look like this on the ship

I am going on this trip, no matter what.

Not sure how I am going to get to work, as it is my right foot. I live 35 miles from my office. I have lots of activities throughout 9 counties before the trip I am supposed to attend.

Nothing like a relaxing weekend.

I hope you all had a great weekend.
What a bummer:headache:
Hope you heal fast.

Ugh - total bummer. Glad the cruise is still on. I thought I read of someone who had to cancel recently do to a broken something or other. Can't imagine :scared1:
That was Crafty Mouse, but I think her DH's break was the thigh bone, not sure, and healing would take longer, plus less mobility:confused3

My cousin and her kids were in visiting from upstate NY and we hit the World of Disney store today here in NYC. My DS was very happy to get some character lovin' in. He was so excited to see Minnie dressed as the Statue of Liberty and Donald like a fireman. And he was telling Minnie how we were going on the cruise and she kept putting her hand over her mouth acting all excited. :)
Sooo cute:cutie:
I wonder if my DD11 is too old to hug the characters now:guilty:

Ah, you're probably right. :)

Bip, what about trying to wearing something in a coordinating color, you know a solid that matches a color in their print:confused3
Many years ago a coworker showed me a family photo where the grandmothers had taken out all the grandchildren and bought them outfits in navy and/or white and then took them to a professional photo place. The picture was awesome even though the kids were all wearing different outfits.

Dh, the kids and i were talking about this type of stuff. I always take off my big ring and won't wear any nice jewelry when I go off the ship.
I also don't wear those things when I'm out by myself anywhere. Why take chances?

I had to LOL about the US being unsafe.... I have friends from Malaysia and she has said that her relatives think it is terribly unsafe here and they can't believe that her, her dh & their dd live here. She told me it is safer for them here then in Malaysia. But, all her relatives see are our big crimes and our crime shows, etc.....

That might work except I'd be the oddball out instead of everyone wearing someting "similiar but not the same" LOL
FORTUNATELY thought Linda contacted me and she has the tank/skirt in XL that matches this set and is bringing it for me! Which is even more perfect than the dress in XL because I'm sure the tank/skirt will fit me better (and I have the tank in M also- that will fit Ruby- but trying it on I'm certain the XL will fit perfectly based on the degree of tightness of the M tank I have LOL)

*bows* to Linda's greatness (mike's wife- lurker extraordinaire & my fairy godmother! hehe)

I totally agree!

oh and btw.. how does tuesday for HF grab you? I found your phone number in the email but didn't know if you'd be too busy for me to call today. Works out good because we're going to Six Flags on Monday with my niece- and she'll spend the night and go to HF with us the next day.... BUT her mom works near HF and she'll pick her up early so that she can bring her back (to our town) for her to go to work on time (she's scheduled to work Tues evening at 6pm). You said you couldn't come till 2- and that's about the time she'll be leaving. hehe
You know you can, if you WANT to, bring Elvis earlier since you live so close and I'd take care of him (with Robert) until you came later if you want. Claire too but I figure you might be a bit more protective of her since she's younger. (figure Elvis probably runs around the waterpark by himself when you're there but not Claire?) but I understand if you don't want to do that- just throwing that out there if you WANTED to. Coming in the afternoon is fine too..... the kids can survive without them there until you can come. :)

do you still have my email addy or phone number to let me know if Tuesday is okay with you?

I'm sure I've asked before but....why aren't your children eating with you??? :confused3
I don't think you've asked- but I've posted about it before. LOL
Because last time we FORCED them to and it was a nightmare. We have late dining and they tend to do all the fun stuff in the club/lab during that dining time (I assume because MOST kids are in the early dining so they plan the best activities during the time the majority of the kids would be in there after their early dining time?).
After the first night it was just a real pain- the kids didn't want to eat with us, but we forced them to- so they tried to eat as fast (and as little) as possible and soon as one was done one of us would have to take them to the club or lab as quickly as possible because they wanted to do those activities. Then another one would get done and we took turns (Jeff and myself) taking them- ofcourse you can imagine how that interrupted OUR enjoyment of our meals! If we'd been smart- after a few days of that we would have stopped making them eat with us but we also had like excursions and things planned off the ship where we would return late (because we had late dining) and we also made them go to the shows with us.... so they missed eating with the club/lab- therefore we couldn't just say okay go to the club/lab and don't have to eat with us- then they wouldn't eat at all!

This time they started out right away, from the moment we talked about doing another disney cruise- begging us to not have to eat dinner with us. they want to either eat other stuff (you know- junk food that's available or room service) or with the lab.. and then stay there to do the evening activities. And we told them we wouldn't force them to get dressed up, go to the show with us and eat dinner with us while the fun stuff was going on in the lab and such. We promised we wouldn't make them do that this time. :lmao:

and because of that- we've linked dining with a group that is only adults- no kids..... so it works out for all of us- kids are happy and we aren't stuck at a table for 5 by ourselves (only our family) like we were last time. we can actually have some adult interaction at dinner this time! Last time we were at our own table- off to the side in a corner at each restaurant and sometimes with a curtain thing between us and other people. If we'd figured out a way for the kids to not eat with us- we still would have been all alone.. not this time!
It's a win/win situation for all of us. Trial and error- first trip didn't work out so great with them eating with us so we're not making them this time. Less clothes to pack too since they won't have to get dressed up every evening. LOL

All right this is probably my last post (or one of a few last) 'til the cruise. I got a ton of work to do before we leave & the DIS is distracting me.

See ya'all on the ship.

Different things at different times... watching my daughter experience things and seeing her joys, sitting quietly and watching nature, laughing with my DH and DD to name a few.

6) Do you sing in the shower? If so ... tell us what you last sang IF you can recall...

I don't sing anywhere (unless several people are with me!)

7) Tell us one interesting/odd fact about you.[/COLOR]

I shared this in chat the other night - I used to work for Knotts Halloween Haunt and dress up as a scary character and scare people at thier Halloween Events (I was a full blown adult btw!)

GS Cookies

I know you guys have kindly explained all of this to me. If these are not seasonal, could I buy a couple of boxes from one of you? They would be neat for DD to take back as part of her world guiding badge

TIA

Celestine

I have a tin that is shaped like our GS trefoil filled with thin mint candies for you as well as a couple of boxes of cookies..i will pack them for you.

They REALLY did turn out cool Desiree. I only have boys but still wanted one
Michelle

You should have ordered one! Some ordered them for the boys..thats why they don't say GS :)

I have 17 days (not including today) until we leave and I have to work 15 of them, leaving me just 2 full days here at home to get all of our stuff done:scared1:!
