... clearing their decks for the EB repo cruise. Little did they know that as they were working, a small glowing figure had flitted into the room. It was the upgrade fairy! Searching for cruisers who by fortune and happenstance would be granted the privlege of cruising beyond their station.

Buzzing back and forth, she spied the folio for danfromca. Finally a worthy cause! Pulling her wings back, she shot forward and

SPLAT!!!!!

"Did someone leave the screen door open again?" shouted one of the gnomes as he brushed away the bug remanents. "These mosquitos are annoying. Remember to close the door!"

He turned back to the folio, quickly pulled up the next available category 11 and stamped it. "Next" he muttered under his breath....

Ok, an upgrade would have been nice, but 6599 is a nicer location than I expected, and is midships which is nice, so no complaints (especially since I did, after all, get lucky with a Palos slot earlier today).

Your image of the upgrade fairy reminded me of what happened at work this week. First, we are in Denver and it's been very dry here the past two months and there just seems to be layer of dust on the windows of our building. At the top of the window in her office, there is a perfect imprint of a bird. You can see individual feathers, both wings spread out and its little head turned sideways and the "scratches" of where her claws scratched the window. It's both sad to think of the poor bird hitting the window, but it is a beautiful imprint of its splat.

Okay question.....
is 6030 starboard or port side?
And WHICH side is the side that they take the pictures?

We're nearly neighbors....just across the hall from each other. We're in rooms 6524 and 6526. Anyone else close by?

another question please... if you don't mind
Do they care if you bring refillable mugs (from WDW resorts) on the ship to use for your sodas?
Just curious....
Last time we used their cups = small, ice melted quickly so it was water, etc. = kept going back for more. If we can just bring our refillable mugs then we'd actually take less soda from the machine because and less trips there.

LMK?

You can use any cup/glass/mug you want. My parents took large plastic mugs so they wouldn't have to make so many trips to the drink station. I think if it's too big, that the ice will melt and water down the drink too quickly so the resort mugs are probably about right sized in the heat.

I'm bringing a pashmina with me to use as a wrap in the dining rooms. I figure by the time I finish eating I'll be so hot from all the food and the glass or two of wine ;) that I probably won't want anything heavier.

We have cruised in Nov and Dec but have never used a sweater or wrap inside the ship. I am thinking about bringing those for the cooler temps on the West that people have been reporting.

I'll let Tom 31b answer this one.

How are you BIP!

waaaaay back when...I was a senior and there were 4 of us and we all came from different schools..it was difficult...my DD just earned her Bronze and has picked out a project for her Silver..she just has to wait one more year when she becomes a Cadette.

I don't remember a Bronze Award. :) They change things all the time.

Wow!! I haven't done much really since the booking window opened up--sitting in a hotel in Vegas trying to book excursions!! Today I caught fire on travel planning/activities:

#1 Activity (not really my doing but still #1) Room assignment finally came in. VERY Happy. No up-grade but great location.
#2 Finalized transportation plans from home to airport and from airport back to home.
#3 Finalized transportation plans from port to MCO.
#4 Secured a Palo dinner reservation!!!
#5 Modified Aruba excursion--was closed out on opening night (took 2nd option) but it was open today. Change saved $140.
#6 Not TOAL-related, but finalized reservations for taking DS to goalie camp in Toronto-area (Mississauga actually). Still have to make arrangements for picking him up, but that will have to wait for another day.

Other than paying for it, my only real vacation obligations are transportation related--getting us from home to the Magic and from the Magic home. All other packing and planning obligations fall to my DW. I am feeling pretty well ready to go now. Oh ya--except for my other "duty"-- trying to keep DW calm and relaxed as she panics over not being packed and ready by the time we leave!!

Although we aren't participating in anything, other than the greet and rugby on CC--(are we still doing that?), I can't wait to see everyone safely on the ship.

Nicholas

I have you down for Rugby Nick. Are you still up for it. I need a volunteer for another captain?

Any takers?

They don't want you filling them direct (or refilling the cups they give) to cut down on germs, they would want you to use a paper cup and pour into refillable mug.

Congratulations to all who received staterooms! (ourselves included).

Take what you can!

I don't know about captain. I was just thinking about this the other day. It has been almost 20 years since my OSU club rugby days. I need to get my mind wrapped back around the game. My rugby brain cells were probably on life support even back then!! Looking forward to it however--just trying to avoid a heart attack. :scared1:

Good so you can be captain of the other team. We'll have a quick review on board the sports deck an you'll do fine. I have you down for an XL jersey?

I was packing today and weighed one of our suitcases. 67.5 lbs can you believe it!

I hate to throw cold water on a happy day - but I heard from Inventory Control -
There were 8 openings for brunch in the private dining room and our requests were # 9 & 10!!! So - close but nothing for us.

I'm so sorry everyone. Apparently some requests were placed as early as Feb. 2007!!

Thanks for trying.:)
