They don't like damp swimsuits and towels either. We had ours in plastic bags in a duffle last trip. (We had just been to TL and then packed the bags).

The bag with the suits got the "love note". Oh yeah that and the one that had my bags of protein powder in them.

TSA doesn't like jars of hot fudge sauce either.

TUXEDO QUESTION

I am filling out the form for the Tuxedo question and for the port it asked whether the ship is docked at the LA pier or the Long Beach pier. Which should I choose? It doesn't give an option for the San Pedro pier

Adventures By Disney 2009

Not sure if anyone is waiting for 2009 Adventures by Disney info but here it is
Further information will be out in early August

I was looking at this earlier this evening.... I have friends leaving on the China ABD in September -- this will be their 3rd ABD. Imet them on our ABD!
We haope to do the Viva Italia with them in 2009. But, that will depend if we sell one of extra houses! LOL!

I'm proabably going to listen to the *training* for the new ABDs the 1st wk of August.

No Pamela we are really going to cancel the excursion(the one with out the extra shopping). We just never got around to it. Maybe the day or night I cancel I could give it to someone on the thread that would really like it. The fort sounds like a plan and we could maybe just pick-up any others that would like to walk there!! Let's just hope there are no storms but I will have my Mickey ponchos with just in case.

We're thinking of canceling our DCL excursion in Acapulco so we may be joining you guys on the walk to the fort.

Hey I didn't mean any disrespect by what I said (someone quoted me). I don't envy the job or the families... Overall I have a lot of respect for Police and firemen. I do lose some respect with how much I see an officer doing 90 on the interstate or speeding through other areas without lights/sirens though...

There are good and bad in every profession
I used to put doctors and lawyers up on a pedestal until I had jobs where I had to work with them
Some are great....some aren't

Good luck Kristina. I can't speak for MD, but here in MI you would probably have a good chance. It depends how high the bar is for misconduct. For your circumstance here in MI they would probably award you with UE. Of course the employer could protest and go to a hearing. I've been processing UE for a year now and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it here in MI.

And all my frustration from this morning was all my fault. Didn't read the letter right, they didn't deny the week of 6/28, they denied the week ending 6/28. But it still confused me because I never asked for or expected a check for that week. But as soon as I saw 'denied' on the letter I got upset.

Monica, that is good news. Sometimes the way they word things makes you wonder. I got a call today from MI UE. An employee was terminated for stealing (gas, which he had been disciplined for prior) and drugs. The girl who sounded like she was just out of HS, said what was the person terminated for? I said both. She said the system isn't set up that way, it had to be one or the other! I think we went with drugs!

Congratulations to those who have gotten room assignments! Picked up a couple of tops at Kmart tonight for $4 each. I was looking for a lawn mower!

Gotta go chase dd down and get her to bed. She is quite grumpy in the morning!

I forgot you were the one who made me buy my traveling cooler bag. We used it for the zoo and it was great!!

Congratulations to all who received room assignments! Looks like things are rolling right along! Nothing for us yet, but we won't panic until Thursday!

We have not planned anything for Acapulco. I have checked the cruise critic link and I think that we will just follow port dude's advice to take a cab to the restaurant to see the cliff divers. That is all we want to see while we are there. I can't see spending all that tour money for my lads to be grumpy on a tour. On the way back, maybe we can check out the fort.
