Todd,
So - I checked - BevMo has both Don Julio & Dom Perignon - and as Jen said you can pre-order and pick up at the store.

Can you get a better price for Tequila in Mexico?

Oh no....not after walking all over Barcelona looking for some....I'm sure he's going to bring his own this time.

heehee

Mike gets a gold star - I got the Pajama breakfast info about 5 seconds after my last post!

Any chess players on board?

My DS11 - loves to play chess - he doesn't compete, isn't up to that level yet but he is taking some instructional classes and just enjoys playing

Any other children that may be interested in just getting together one day, informally, to play? I believe they have chess boards in one of the bar areas, which are open during the day for everyone

This can be discussed once onboard if that works better for everyone
I didn't want to set up another meet time or anything like that ahead of time as I am sure some people would like to just have some down time

We will be in room 6540 if anyone decides that they would like to play, give us a call

Jo

OK - DS9 is still eating dinner (the kid is eating like a horse lately!) so I have a few more minutes here!

I think I promised this a few days ago and then got busy, busy, busy. I have the "large" versions of each of the door magnets for those who need a higher resolution.

If anyone has trouble with any of these, just PM or email (pdarrah@sprynet.com) and I'll try and fix it!

Pamela
They look great :thumbsup2
Thanks so much:goodvibes

Not sure if any one has posted this yet, but I checked with the Doubletree hotel in San Pedro and they will accept packages shipped to them with your full name and arrival date.
:woohoo:

Okay , so I need to find the easiest BevMo located between Universal and DLR and of course in the safer area :lmao: :lmao: so anyone know :confused3

Todd,
Check on-line for locations and order ahead of time so its ready for pick-up - then you'll be sure you'll get what you want. (and don't worry we'll be ready to share w/you!! hahahaha)

Only 9 work days left for me!!! :dance3:

I have 16 full days and if things go right, 3x 8 hour days are training. My last day I only work 3 hours and I have 5 hours off on my anniversary.
To the Pirate Bus Pirates:

For those interested in stopping to pick up "refreshment" on the way to the port - there is a time issue. Normally for transfers the buses do not allow stops - however, they agreed to make a short 15-20 min. stop for us. My concern is if the stop is too long - they will charge for another hour per bus - and on my credit card!!!

I suggest that rather than the whole family leave the bus to shop - just one person take on that chore so there are no delays.

Arlene asked about pre-ordering so I checked.

I researched both Von's and Albertson's Supermarkets on-line.

Vons: shop on line and they will deliver to the hotel. I don't know the service charge - but that offered a coupon for free delivery when I checked.

Albertson's: shop on line and either pick it up at the store or have it delivered to the hotel. There is a service charge - $4.95-$5.95 for pick-up and $9.95 for delivery.

I hope that helps.

I don't mean to offend re the time issue - hopefully you all understand my concern.

Chris, if someone with a car wants to volunteer maybe an hour or so, I would be willing to drive with them to pick up water beforehand etc for those at the Hojo. This way we will be prepared and cut the time and bodies running off the bus. We really don't have any real plans for Sat. so time is flexible. We are arriving around 3:30 on Fri. Just let me know. Or maybe have Albertsons or Vons deliver to the hotels? If it is one flat fee of 9.95 it may work?

We were thinking of hopping a bus to pick up som Baccardi and Crown ourselves,on Sat. Thought we might take a break form DL and go. :confused3

Just a quick post to check in and say Hi from Connecticut. We opened the last box at DD's new apartment earlier today. It's really starting to come together. I have another week here and then a week at WDW with other DD and grandkids then finally home. After being away two and a half of the last three months I can't wait. I'll have three weeks at home before we leave for the TOAL but will have DD and both grandkids there until the day before we leave for LA.

DH reported that the T-shirts arrived. He is worse than our 5 year old granddaughter. Checking the mail box every day waiting for the docs.

DD is getting ready to do the final formating of her dissertation so if all goes as planned all the signatures should be finalized and we can really celebrate her finishing. It's been a hectic summer so far -- I'm really going to need this vacation.

I don't think there is anything offensive. :) Thanks for putting this together for us!

Oh..... so DL isn't good enough huh? Would it matter that the card is in my name and his last name is the same? If it is a problem- I have no idea how we're going to work around it. We can't BOTH have the credit card in hand when checking in.. since I'll be flying on Monday with the kids and he'll be flying Friday night. :(

All I know is that when we flew to Baltimore two years ago I left my wallet on the kitchen table and still managed to get on the plane with both kids to attend DH's graduate graduation. I won't be trying that again though. We drove back since DH had the car up there already so I didn't have to worry about being cleared at a bigger airport. :scared:

Oh man, that would stink! Don't forget the passport either? Do you need a reminder email?:rotfl2:

DS9.5 loves to play chess. He got a set for Christmas [the special Target POC version of course] and plays whenever he can talk us into it.
